  1. I remember the first time i drove an R33 skyline. it was misfiring on low boost etc etc, but i was still lovin it. the next weekend we gave it a huge service re gapped the plugs, adjusted the boost controller etc etc and it was marvellous, smoked the tyres when it came on power, exhaust note was beautiful, LOVED the induction noise from the Gracer pod filter. absolutley in heaven. i took my old man for a spin in it and he couldn't beleive how smooth it was and effortless to drive. (he is mid 50s and has really only driven falcons all his life). i have now pretty much got him hooked on something along the lines like a stagea. and a work mate of his recently bought a S2 R33 thats tuffas and he reckons its sweet too. how could you complain!!! oh and the comment from someone saying that they don't 'dig' silvias, i totally agree, driven N/A and turbo silvia and they didn't do much for me, which is why i opted for the inline 6 in mine! now that makes it a totally different car again (read: not the same as as a silvia or an R33). The R32-33-34 series is a work of art, and i wish they would keep it running. yet to experience an R34 yet, but my expectations are high
  2. hmm i had a link to making your own coilovers and cutting them down to size to take R31 inserts. seems to be down or something.
  3. we are trying to organise drift days, but have had some public laibility issues. there are 'some' places for drift but not suitable for continuous use. we have few guys down here keen on the drift, i just need an engine to get myself drifting.
  4. why would you need to cut and weld the trans tunnel in a VL to fit an RB25 box?
  5. i believe you are running a wolf 3d nizmokid? or did you bin that?
  6. places like datsport make mounts which convert from 3.5" to 4"
  7. probably a bit easier on your drive train if anything
  8. yeh i got screwed over by an insurance company big time last year, i had police reports tonnes of witnesses and even the panel beater i got quotes from said its impossible to have been your fault from the damage
  9. hmm sorry to drag off topic, but my mate has a VL turbo, which has most of the good bits in it and namely a GCG hi flow turbo (T3/4 hybrid i am guessing), not long after he bought the car the turbo carked it due to a crimped oil feed line. so he ordered a new turbo from GCG, specs not exactly known. put it on ran it at the drags and then had another problem with the car... unrelated. after fixing that problem, he decided that the exhaust a/r was too small and sent it back to GCG. after they had it a month it was sent back and told doesn't need too be done. 2 weeks ago car was dyno tuned and the best possible run was 204rwkw. now he (and i) were expecting a bit more than this. as it is not laggy at all, and boosts quite quickly why would GCG refuse to do this? it is getting sent back there one more time to get DONE and if they refuse, TUFF!!!
  10. hehe, i don't think i have ever seen a DR down here, so parts are a problem!! come to think of it u don't see that many MRs here either, just the granny spec ones
  11. the number of times i saw that nearly brought tears to my eyes, wouldn't have cared too much if it were brocky or some torana
  12. if any of you guys noticed how much time jason white lost due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator and then how much time he gained once it was fixed, he would surely have been on the podium, made up some rediculous time on the last day. oh and did anyone hear about jim richards, apparently his on board computer logged that the car didn't have traction for over a kilometer in one stage on day 5, crazy shit
  13. Ok i am in, these things are for sheizy, i know of several ppl ppl that would have them, put me down for 4 if the price is reasonable

  18. yeh its pretty straight forward swap, make sure though you use the RB25 gearbox, yours will last about 5 mins 2 approaches to ecu and wiring loom.. get them intact with the RB25.. or use the RB20 ecu and have it chipped (can't chip RB25 ecu's).
  19. yeh what made him do it?
  20. there is beter places to take it than another computer store
  21. Hmm my personal opinion, for street id get a GTSt and mod it, but probably not $25K worth of mods. if i was gonna go track car it would definately be a GTR, and more likely a 32R, id modd it to hell but do alot of stuff myself and to a budget.. sorta like the one in HPi V6
