hmm, just my opinion and its probably been said before. but why pay the extra $20K or something to get an N1? when u could get a V spec and with that $20K spend it on bettering a N1? particularly if you are not going to race it? like for a few $$$ you could upgrade to aftermarket turbos, fit an exhaust if it doesn't already have one, intercooler etc etc.. you could get those Volk TE37s that you wanted but cos you forked out all that more for the car and couldn't afford and i am sure if you really want there is copies of the carbon under trays/ diffusers or better yet you could put that $20K as a deposit down on a house

and the noise they make, is just totally amazing.. take damo's with the twin apexi mufflers, sounds awesome, and they have this sorta gear meshing noise (hard to describe) which makes them sound more like a race car with a dog box, than ya mums shopping trolley

oh my mate ran a microtech DIGI 1 (or was that 2??) on his FJ20. you can pickup alot of stuff second had cheap and on ebay and stuff, i know a few guys that have been doing so recently. what ecu's out there are able to run in closed loop? i know my microtech doesn't

nahh but i got another idea, u know those PWR barrel intercoolers, how bout u take one of them and bin the radiator and all coolant related equipment. and connect the air con up to the fittings on that? now i am guessing that if aircon can make your car 'freezing cold' inside surely it would work to the same effect on the barrel intercooler? i imagine it would drop inlet temps immensly

yeh they guy i bought it off said he would do it cheap, cos the colour can't be matched up and it would look dog ugly cos the pearl will not be the same.. so he has offered to completely repair and respray the whole car... AGAIN

viscous are poo... they are nice smooth and unnoticable to drive, still cut twins, but more likely to open wheel, mechanicals are graunchy and grind and make all noises, but are much stronger, and never open wheel

I think what is mean by rev past 7500rpm, is that there is a harmonic vibration/warpage fo the block between about 7000-7500rpm, if you take to long to rev through this range your crank will twist like licorice. there are ways around this, like line boring techniques.. or $12K harmonic balancers

yeh the guy thats done all the other models is keen! i think it should be a 2 door iron mask, and a 4 door HR/MR, R30 somewhere in there and skylinesaustralia logo easy and simple
