  1. someone else is driving gleaneys car this year i think??? i remember the tilbrook car had a different driver anyway
  2. Only if arms are hanging out of it
  3. datrally built my engine it has been left untouched since
  4. the trouble with the vane airflow meters, well in my mates case was that they flip wide open under boost and go to 9:1 A/F ratio. thats why you see so many pulsar Et's blowing chaff i think from memory you can basically adjust idle, mid and high mixtures
  5. hmm just curious, as my friend has a 'genuine' Hybrid Super Monster (the big one) on his Pulsar ET, now there is nothing wrong with the quality of that thing. i have also seen Apexi sell a 'hybrid' intercooler is this the same again? what i am assuming is the core is all made in the same factory, and at my guess they all get pressure tested etc and the best ones go to say apexi, the second ones to say hybrid and then anything left over goes to the 'chinese immitations'.
  6. nahh don't reckon he didn't take his car down there
  7. hey i will be at the 1st stage on day 1 i think it is its at Bridgenorth, working at the ned of the stage, you will be handing over your time sheets to me to get clocked in
  8. there is an abundance of silvia's in launceston mostly auto ca18de's though
  9. Microtech users have any of you gues hooked your oil pressure sensor (you need a special type) to the microtech via the aux input? do you think its worth it or should i just invest in a decent aftermarket guage ?
  10. instead of chopping the shit out of the bonnet why not have the mounts lowered, which is what my car has had done. every car i have seen has had to do away with aircon, and if you have a FMIC no chance either i reckon. show me a strut bar that fits ill buy it!!! custom jobbie i reckon
  11. You mean the whiteline KCA349 Rear Subframe Align and lock kit. this kit has several different height rings and mixing/matching these can give the desired result of standard bushes, all round performance, maximum traction and drift, this kit however only come available for the s13-14, r32-33 and 300zx. i am sure whiteline would make a similar kit, and as ghostrider said he got some custom made, and they are the same rear end(s)
  12. noltec sell bushe kits think they are www.noltec.com.au

    Car show

yeh there should be a fair whack of pics up soon
  14. uhh no, i have a MT8 which has been upgrade to LT8 software, this uses the original coils and box of tricks, think the mtx/ltx uses aftermarket coils and all that stuff. sorry for the bad explaination. put it this way mick stanick (SUBZERO PERFORMANCE) uses an MT8 on 10 sec cars
  15. where in tassie? if in launceston go to the car artist, if he can't get you a kit, he will make something fit!
  16. didn't know turbo cars could be that loud saw the bandag bullit on the weekend and that has 4 turbos the size of T88's and it ran 110 psi with about 7" dumps no wastegate no exhaust with flames pouring from dumps and that think was quieter than just about all the cars there
  17. anyone using champion gold? i have heard they are really good, not iridium so u need to change them twice as many times as iridium but when they are like under $10 bucks for 4 i think, who is complaining? they were reviewed agains the likes of HKS, splitfire, etc etc some of these plugs were in the vicinity of $100 per plug! if anyone knows the part number for these plugs i would love to know
  18. yep thats april auto show right? yeh we will be up there in force, platinum car club should have most of its cars there.
  19. probably not, plenty of ppl with gtst's who wanna put a kit on theirs would buy it, a mate of mine did it to his gtst looks phat as.
  20. umm well considering they have that clear coat over them i would assume u would need to rub it back to get rid of it = pain in the ass! wonder if you would get any texture in the finish? personally it would kinda defeat the purpose of getting a carbon bonnet, why not get a fibreglass one way cheaper and painting it.
  21. yeh im not saying im against your point, as i wanted an R32 originally but couldn't afford at the time (wish i saved a bit longer and waited). But i like the car for what it is not what it weighs (its rare in its own respect, and personalised tastefully). but yes it does give me the shits cos i have R32 brakes sitting in my garage, but can't put them on because i have 3 piece wheels and they don't have any clearance for the calipers, even after shaving the nissan off. and the CA18 brakes are woe full (worse than the brakes on my bluebird trx of '84 vintage). every car has pros/cons out of the factory that you either have to live with or change.
  22. depends on how well the dyno is calibrated too. i know we have this problem in the car audio industry, we tuned a car on a relatively new meter and mic and got it fairly flat. took it to a comp with these settings and it was all over the place, then not to mention that the most db anyone could get was 134, and alot of the cars were 140+db cars. found that they hadn't had it calibrated in years and still haven't
  23. speaking of dyno sheets, i finally got mine from anthony at maztech yesterday!! 172rwkw 12psi 7000rpm woo hoo and thats apparently tuned to be more economical than it used to be
  24. why not just get it calibrated and cleaned?
  25. why not buy one for a gtr they are like 1000 bucks it will look shit cos the carbon is owven and you will break that not to mention the clear coat over it
