  2. yeh ive had to get another one of them, cos the black paint around the ashtray and stuff chipped off and looked gross. just plastic prime it and put a few coats of silver or black over it. dunno about keeping the decals on though

  9. I would imagine they are the same, as its the same turbo just bigger in physical size internally
  10. u may require a resistor somewhere in your dash, i know when u put an SR20DET in a Bluebird to get the tacho to work you solder a resistor inbetween the signal and another wire (think earth??) on the back of a tacho, id imagine its the same.
  11. yes about 4 bolts are right behind the tensioners, impossible to get at without taking it off

    Scott, i know what its like, my silvia has the same problem, i was like WTF? I fitted coilovers and it helped to a degree but still did it a little, will change the bushes eventually. dunno about my diff though, thats a viscous and its only just had the oil change in it not long ago

  14. would crap me off totally if id just done a timing belt change not long ago. rule of thumb, change both at the same time
  15. your not going to like it, water pump goes right across the block, requires you to take radiator, crank pulley, timing belt cover, timing belt etc off to do. not that hard just shits you off when you get that all done only to find a nice gaping crack in your block and a water pump in near new condition. if you have not worked on cars b4 i would recommend not doing it, or get someone that knows to help.
  16. Just a question, off topic really, but are the calipers the same on the front of Z32, R32, and R33? They look the same anyway, but i mena i have the calipers now. i was looking at some calipers with bolt on hats, and you can get these in different size/height i personally want a taller hat so i can keep my volks on the car
  17. can someone please tell me what a peak and hold boost gauge does? i only just realised mine was and i am trying to sell it? just so i can explain what it does and stuff to the buyer

    Cool scott, id love to see it sometime. I remember seeing you out there. I was running on bald tyres, and due to the amount of camber on rears was only running on half the tyre!!!

    Here is a few of my MR30 Skyline. ive since sold the Chromes, and its been in an accident, getting repaired now, will look better with import tail lights and a few other mods.

As noted from older posts, my block has a crack on the water pump housing, ive decided pretty much that its gonna be no good trying to fix it. a whole new engine is out of the question as it is too $$$ for me right now. I have called round a few wreckers and they say i can get a block for ~$500 mark. however as u don't get much for your $$$ i am assuming u don't get crank, pistons, rods etc. if you do thats a bonus. but if you don't can i use the original pistons, rods, crank (retty much everything from my bottom end and rebuild it? (i am assuming that neither engines have been bored or rebuilt). and by rebuild i mean rings, bigends, bit of a clean up and balance. is this possible?

  24. the AFM and ECU on these cars really limits them, u might not have to go this rediculous. but if i was keeping my car i would this is what i would do, may still do it for fun. only reason i say that is cos i noticed on my mates 1GGTE it had the dizzy blocked off, when i asked him he said it was a piece of piss, and now runs multi coils.
  25. hey the exhaust cut out isn't that hard, both me and another guy have done it. probably the best thing you can do to your r30 in order is, pod filter, zorst, extractors. thats the cheap stuff. if you wanna get serious follow this: get inlet manifold power ported, fit/adapt Rb30 or XF falcon throttlebody, remove distributor and fit a type of CAS to run mulitple coils (ECU's like Wolf 3D and Motec give you everything you need to do this). Obviously you need to fit one of these ECU's, bigger injectors (old Mercedes Benz V8 ones are good), have head ported and use a stage 2/3 cam (can't remeber the durations). this will get you ~250hp NA!!! fit a T04E and go for gold!
