  8. yeh i tried breaking the seal but no go, too close to cracking the plastic. will just keep at them are getting better the more i do. as for ebay i could never find any thing dr30 related on there so i haven't really looked lately, much else? oh and ghost rider have you been getting my emails?
  9. nicko, besides mine i know of 2 others with zorst round town, i bought 1 with a side pipe exiting just behind the front wheel, sounds like a top fuel drag car, doesn't go like one. i only bought that one for parts though, engine will go. and a good mate (who introduced me to R30's) went to carline in margaret st launceston and had a 2 1/2" press bend, with a resonator, and muffler at rear with a 3 1/2" tip on the LEFT hand side of car (cut the outlet out). This sounds absolutly sweet and pops flames. Or go mine 2 1/2" mandrel bent, but chopped the manifold and joined 2 1/2" onto that, then resonator, and muffler at rear 4" droopy tip. doesn't sound quite as sweet but sounds like it has more HP, could just be cos of increased capacity.
  10. Oh hmm id like rotors that big on my car, but i guess id need new calipers aswell as rotors (unless i can make up a mounting bracket?) well id be interested to know aswell about the rear brake upgrade.

Yeh u cannot honestly think picking up chicks cos of your car is going to work and lead on to a serious relationship. i know of several girls that move from one guy to the next cos they have a betta car, do more mods etc. We cruise fairly often in Phat R33s skyline and you get looks (cos of the zorst and bov) then dirty skankas whistle at you and say stuff like 'wanna root' what a turn on. to date every chick ive been with has loved my bluebird trx mostly. My current partner told me she like it when i said its a bucket'o shit compared to what i have got. so i showed her my silvia and skyline and she was like they are just black cars i still reckon the bluey is the best?? figure that out?
  12. Hey i just bought some tail lights from RSX 84 and when i got them (like he said) they have some rust crudd in the indicators and reverse lights. I tried to pull them apart and pretty much got every screw and nut off but i couldn't get the perspex and plastic to separate, i didn't want to use force in fear of breaking them so i ended up cleaning them from the back of the globe. i spent half a day cleaning the bastards with all different things (even my dremel with a flexable joint and soft brush on the end) but nothing can get right up in the corners! Is there a special little trick or some hidden clip that i need to take off to get them apart?

    Yeh i see it in George St all the time along with the R33 with C west kit, carbon bonnet and gold rims. according to a mate it lives up in newnham. (i ask myself... why in that type of car would you get an auto?)

  15. if you really want to know a big change in braking difference i am about to swap the single piston 250x18mm rotors and calipers off my silvia for some ~280x30 (not sure on the exact size cos i was assuming they are 300, but weren't) with 4 piston calipers. now i seriously can't understand how they got away with putting those size brakes on a silvia cos they don't pull up at low speeds, let alone high speed, wait for the big improvement.

  18. Brian its Tim here from 910Bluebird Club. The R30 Disk rear end doesn't have drums, it is a handbrake operated caliper. However if your trailing arms have the stubs for a caliper to mount i have seen R31 rear discs fitted to these. Anyway a man with your intelligence would be able to figure it all out. early R32 Gts(t)s were 4 stud maybe the rear disc off one of them? Anyway i am looking forward to seeing ur IRS conversion. Ive still got the bluebird an ever fairthful car

Hey umm i was contemplating buying a car with this plenum mod, but didn't buy it Now only recently i have been speaking to this guy who is pretty switched on with flow and porting etc. Who is helping me get my car back on the road. now when i take my engine out we are going to get the inlet manifold bead blasted, then flow matched and then they machine the hole in the plenum for the TB cos it is actually smaller. he even spoke of making it elliptical shaped something to do with flow to #1 and #6. Then the zorst manifold gets cleaned up inside the runners (die grind) and then bead blasted too (mainly all this does is drops zorst temps and relieve turbo). Now we have decided to use one of those PWR 'Barrel' Coolers (water to air). Original idea was to rotate comp housing on turbo to face down and have the barrel mounted horizontal beside radiator. on further inspection in the S13 engine bay its gonna take some cool thinking to fit it in this position. Then i thought why not have a front facing TB and have the barrel behind the bumper? and in my mind it seems right, but i don't know a great deal about flow or anything but if i got the TB front mounted then had the manifold port matched and bead blasted surely it would work? let me know otherwise i will stick with the other way and cut the shit outta my engine bay

  21. Sorry to hijack this thread as i find it most interesting. I was just wondering if any of you guys have been to Maztech? Just wanting to know if they are any good? My car was worked on there and i have a heap of receipts for there. Trouble is when i call up to get dyno sheets they never send them, just wanna know what power my car was making b4 i had troubles
  22. Majority of new bikes use injection, any that don't is cos its more cost affective. I was only out at the track a few weeks back and there was a 1600 running an SR20DE with twin sideys (personally i would have gone quad throttle bodys if anything). and i am sure some of u guys have seen the S14 drag car running an L31(stroked L28) with twin turbos and triple webbers? that thing as mad!! could someone verify for me if it was running methonol? and possibly nitrous?
  23. Hey I am after an RB25DET from a S1 R33. I do not need a gearbox, wiring loom or ecu As some of you would know i bought a S13 with an RB25DET conversion last year off this forum and unfortunately it has a crack through the water pump housing which looks to be unrepairable. Cheers guys
