best way to go is the L28E, to begin with the extra capacitry helps if anything.
i have seen these with a cam, bigger injectors, ported manifold, XF falcon throttle body, and motec. putting out 250hp and thats running a dizzy still
A sad day in the motorsport community, will be greatly missed.. you cannot over look the efforts of marsden in the 80s with such great teams like the Group C bluebird driven by Fury.
As said, nissan motorsport fans will be devastated
yeh mine is converted disk rear and they put the whole subframe in, there is something different about it as the paperwork i have for the job explains about it, dunno what though
Rb20 turbos apparently fit on the l20et manifold so that could be your first mod, that would spool alot nicer than the stock one
i am pretty sure that the s13 struts, lower control arm and the like all fits the benefit of this is that you can have r32 4spots on your car, plus flexibility of shocks and springs
hehe don't you hate trying to get the right stuff, particularly for R30s it seems impossible
im just gonna do away with old skool rims and get a set of Buddy club P1s
Yeh i got an MR30 with L28, the J-tronics copmuter is really holding it back. the car has since been crashed into lightly and iam waiting an insurance payout. i then want to spend about $10K on her and fit a 25T in i reckon that would be really interesting. as my car currently keeps with a R33 on its low boost setting to about 70 kmh if i get a good start.
rsx84: so have you done the swap? i want to know if the rumors are true about the X member not just being a straight swap (ie steering rack and sump clearance)
mine is not a hatch or a Ti but it has AC and has been converted to Disc rear, it has had some sort of bias adjustment done to it to compensate for the change from drums, but i feel its not right as it does not like to sit on the brakes (slips clutch)
also anybody got an ideas how to fix -ive camber problem when you lower it extremely? the belly of my car nearly touches the ground when i plant my foot and i have about 4 degrees of -ive camber on rear and it like to chew through tyres. only fix i know is datsport in adelaide modifys it, but i don't really wanna send it over there till i can be sure
hey man didn't you have one on ozdat for an R30?
the diff steve got was actually a c210 diff and did not fit due to r30s haveing CVs and C210s having uni joints
yeh i understand its not based on weight its the amount of area it takes up in their truck/van/boat/plane
mate got his SR20+Gbox from adelaide to hobart for under $200 in little over a week. they picked up the pallet from the importer, and phoned him when it was ready to pickup in hobart. all he had to do was drive down there with a trailer and they dropped it on there.
Dude i thought about the SR then went nahh alot of work. Doh! just realised that instead of using the Skyline crossmember us a pintara crossmember... piece of piss!
why didn't i think of that!
i can get heaps more stuff for SRs and the like
can i change the poll to include an SR?
would they do like a pallet with an engine and gearbox? cos most importers charge $500 to tasmania. a mate got a shipping company to do it for $150, if they can get it here for under $200 ill go em
yeh was thinking this the other night, saw it on a MR2, sets alarm and they fold in and windows go up SWEET!
i am buying R33 mirrors to fit my R30 and this is one thing i would like to do. let me know how you get on
i imagine the gearing in a turbo would be different too seeing as a NA car would really be stretching the limits to get to 200+kmh, where as a turbo would be doing that in 3rd or 4th
umm well when my headlights are off and you are walking to the car you can see a blue glow from the main beams.
a mate was driving the opposite direction to me one night and said its the brightest blue he has ever seen. makes the road like daylight. as for the parkers i got 2 pairs, unfortunatelly the got damaged in postage, and are just about to be returned for warranty, i tried one of them and it was blue like i can't describe it.
i also got a pair of phillips blue parkers to compare, they don't their blue is more like white tinged
i will find some pics of my car with them on
