The owner of SAU does not want the hassle, backlash and possible legal action if a business is defamed.It is also possible and very likely (being the internet and all) that the story is not the whole truth, and in most cases (unless the business is a member on here) they have no chance to defend themselves. A thread like this could mean thousands of dollars in lost business. There is nothing to stop anyone starting a thread on the bad, and helping out other members from learning the hard way... just tell people to PM you for the name.In all honestly we're trying not to be TOO strict with all this kind of stuff and this forum is pretty good for not being over moderated... we're trying to keep a happy medium. Allow blatent workshop bashing and we're just opening the floodgates. I'm really sorry to hear your story... I actually thought that particular place was supposed to be good, but there ya go. haha these sites are funny but you get a lot of whingers!! just reading some of those ACT plates and there's one guy who seems to be complaining alot about ppl not indicating. yeah it's annoying but i'd be waiting for something a bit more serious before bothering to write down their plates and put it on an internet site!! Really?? I have no idea! He showed me the reading on the gun... went away with my licence and came back and said "yeah unfortunately being a school zone we can't be lenient" sorta like he may have let me off if was anywhere else, and then said the fine would be mailed and I'd get it soon.

StinkyPoo, he flagged me down and said he'd be sending the fine. He was a nice cop, very friendly to me, so hopefully he'll do it <15 mid life crisis, for the record I go through this school zone every day and I always slow down. As I said - I was right at the beginning but didnt slow down quickly enough it seems. The school zone is a very very long straight stretch of road with high visability on both sides, and I can tell you that even doing 55kms I would have plenty of time to stop IF there were any children around which there never is at the time I go through every day (1.45pm). It's a High School and they're all inside. I know that's not the point but I'm just letting you know that I don't make a habit of racing through school zones for the fun of it.

well that's good to hear, someone told me today that the fines are huge!! bastard... he was telling me it was like $600!! because they take school zones to be more serious or some crap.. I got done for 55kms in the 40km zone... I was at the beginning and hadnt slowed right down yet. not sure if that will be an <15 fine or a >15 fine?
