  2. Ewen you legend for typing all that out! when i type in my password (4 digits) and click apply, it changes it to something (dunno what!!) with 8 digits??? the password in here shows up as 4 digits...i hit connect...get an "authentification failed" and my modem icon in the dock still looks like this (pic attached)... which I'm sure is supposed to mean there's something wrong with phone line connection... i followed exactly what u said Ewen, I haven't got the USB plug in, and i've got 3 of the 4 lights happening on the modem....dunno what the hell i'm doing wrong!! damn this blonde hair LOL
  3. freaky !! i was driving home from work about 20mins after you...didn't see anything so it must've been a one off. Maybe it was a meteorite or something..
  4. No  it always takes me a while to get around to doing things like this lol.. but at least i know where i can get one and how much $$$ i'm up for
  5. haha i don't care how it's set up if it works then I'm a happy girl Sending you my number now Ed - Thanks for this!! oh and the modem is the one Telstra sent me...Alcatel Speed Touch 530 I got that one
  6. haha that's cool...nice to see you join up here anyway - welcome to SAU! sorry to hear you've had problems where did you get the car from?
  7. yeah what Nik said, depends on how much u want to spend if you can leave it till a couple of weeks before you come i would try these sites for some bargains: http://www.needitnow.com.au/ http://www.wotif.com/ http://www.check-in.com.au/ http://www.quickbeds.com/
  8. spotted a gunmetal R32 (could have been a GTR not sure) at 2pm... i was on Beasley St Mawson waiting to turn onto the Rd that goes past Isaacs, gave him a small wave as he went past, no response caught up to him at the lights at the hospital, was an asian guy...he still didn't wave, looked a bit confused actually LOL
  9. YAY i knew someone onhere had mentioned a purple R32! and yes it had a body kit...a nice clean one, not a full on over the top one - sound like yours? that's the BEST place to park, nice wide spot and only one car next to you
  10. Really?? are u busy on Friday? *bats eyelashes* hehe ed...yep i have bigpuddle i've tried setting it up in both OS9 and OSX done evrything it tells me to do, and it says it's all ok - except for some problem with my connection to the phone line and i know my home ph is ok cos another tech person on these forums looked up my number for me, to make sure it was ok for adsl.
  11. have a look here for some info: http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/str_imp-cert.htm
  12. well I can't get my adsl to work but after reading this thread, i'm thinking i don't want to ring telstra for help... i'll either be stuck in a queue, or i'll be labelled a dumbass lol
  13. the 12th sounds good...does this mean i have to polish my car (for the first time haha). Ewen is your mum free??
  14. spotted at the hyperdome last Friday, a purple R32 coupe... i know it's someone here but i can't remember who you were parked in the carpark at the Go-lo/Coles entrance - in the exact spot i always try to get
  15. supra, your stuff is on it's way to you as we speak...
  16. I think a better idea would be to ONLY put the curfew on people who have committed traffic offences. Eg, if you get done, say, twice? for speeding while on your P's you will automatically get slapped with the curfew for the rest of the time you're on your P's. Something along those lines anyway... i think it would definately make ppl think twice about speeding or doing burnouts or whatever, when they've got that penalty in the back of their minds. And it wouldn't penalise the good drivers. might be hard to enforce tho, cos the cops would have to pull ppl over to check...maybe they could have different coloured P plates or something LOL "Black P's" mean you've been driving like a tool and you're on a curfew hehe
  17. haha.. i passed my driving test in my bf's mums '88 Colt - it was her shitty runabout...probably why she let me drive it... as for that new one, would be ok if you're after that sort of thing I guess, and "under consideration a high performance turbo model" umm can't wait..
  18. hey all, I'm Shell (duh) and my car is stockers With slight roo damage here's a pic...I have put a cat back zorst on her since this photo was taken, so no more pea shooters:
  19. did anyone see the 60 minutes thing? i was watching it and waiting for a skyline cos I knew they'd have to put one in there somewhere...and sure enough, they showed a silver R32 doing a burnout LOL
  20. welll..in Canberra at least...there are nowhere near as many! it's just a dumb arguement... just as a test - anyone, anywhere in Australia sit at a major set of traffic lights and look around you. Guaranteed there'll be a Commodore or Falcon there somewhere. Probably quite a few. You can't say that about Skylines, anyone who thinks there's just as many is delousional (sp?) There's heaps more than there USED to be, which is why people start these stupid arguements. meh i don't care anyway, if there's lots on the road it's obviously because they're great cars
  21. Mitsubishi are just trying to get in on the action, by showing they have an advantage over the Falcon and Commodore. So of course they're gonna use this in their ad if it makes em look good A lot of family car buyers think Ford or Holden are the only choice...they won't even consider a Magna, or other cars like a Camry, Maxima etc.. seen a few top of the range Magnas around (VRX's??) and i actually think they look pretty good for a "family car"!!
  22. yeah i do agree with you, i didn't mean to sound like you deserve what you got or anything. Everyone does stuff they shouldn't occasionly!!
  23. would look ok if you were after something different I guess...but not for me, I love the red tailights :aroused:
  24. yeah i had an accident in my first car (Laser)...reversed out of a carpark and backed straight into a Sigma that was driving past  I DID check before reversing, but they came from nowhere. Put a huge dent in the rear quarter panel of the Sigma, but my Laser rear bumper absorbed it all and i had no damage at all. I gave them my details, fully expecting to have to use my insurance but never heard anything from them!!! and as for the headchecking thing...I never trust my mirrors! always headcheck, it's such an easy thing to do and so much better just to be sure !
  25. I think ur all wusses for taking the easy way and going for an auto license :jk: honestly though, if you're talking about where you come off the Monaro and go under the bridge on Canb Ave - I go thru there every day - and even in the wet or giving it a bit to make the green light, i've never come unstuck. so i think you pretty much have to accept it, as well as the P-plate thing. The p-plate, you might have got away with another time, but hey.. he's seen you hang it loose around an intersection.... As for the auto->manual thing, I thought it just changed automatically?? Or do you have to actually go in and ask for it?
