that's James's (R32 GTS4) old car...the guy who has the silver R32 GTR now.. Spotted Contempt? maybe? black 350Z in Kambah (on Sunday i think it was), at the lights just before you hit the parkway...you were next to us, we were in a black XR6T.

except for a completely different body shape lol GTRboy...i used to love these cars!!, i almost bought one too as a "step up" to a Skyline, but the insurance was too expensive.. same engine as a Jap Mazda Familia...comes as a turbo 4WD or non turbo FWD...as said above, the turbo model has 117kw and pulls a 15.9 quarter mile. just remember the up-keep will be more (being a turbo 4WD) and look out for one that hasn't been thrashed/rallyed etcetc, because most will have fairly high kms by now, and you probably don't want one that has had a hard life. here's some more info: http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/reviews/rev...ory.asp?ID=4003

today: spotted a black R33 coupe...followed me into Wiluna St at 2pm...Asian guy driving sucking on a Maccas coke also last Friday pulled up next to that yellow R33 with all the stickers on the side, as i was turning into the Woden carpark.

Have you tried Suncorp Metway? umm I don't have an R34 GTR (damn shame that) but I'm the same age and NCB as you, and they insured me, reasonable prices and pay-by-the-month too... although I've heard they're not that keen on imports anymore (current customers excluded )...also being in Sydney might be a problem - they insured me in canberra cos it's still considered pretty safe but i'm don't know if they do sydney (they are Brisbane based).

i can honestly say I've never used my car to pull chicks

most important thing here - you're SOUTHSIDE :) (we have southside vs northside wars in Canberra hehe) but you picked the right side of town so it's ok Swinger Hill is a nice suburb! it's got lots of townhouses, but the ones i've been in have been really nice, alot are bigger than your usual house

I wanted a TX3 turbo 4WD... but couldn't find any good ones and also the insurance was heaps... so a few years later i still had the performance car bug... i thought about what i could get (WRX/200SX etc) ... but then I saw a wine red R33 in Unique Cars and fell in love! researched them for ages... realised if I imported one i could get it about 10K cheaper than the one in Unique Cars (which wasn't anything great, just a stockers R33!!). Imported one thru a Brissy broker soon after!

guys - forum members have always been able to delete their own threads....it's the way the software has always worked... if one of the mods had deleted it, then maybe we'd consider bringing it back and locking it, but since minesdatsun did it, well - it's his right to do so. most regulars on here have long memories...i sure most of us know who's a knob and who isn't
