  1. hey guys, thought I'd start our own spotted thread!... some of the other states have them, and I think it's a great idea especially to find out if the Skyline you saw was someone off the forums or not! well I'll start spotted tonight (Wed 17th) a white R33 on Canberra Ave heading towards Qnbyn (going under the Monaro) at about midnight. If you saw me, i was in the red R33 waiting at the lights!
  2. you guys out west already had your turn Roy! "Operation RoadSafe was based on the successful Operation WestSafe, which resulted in a 28 per cent reduction in fatalities in Western Sydney" i got done by the westsafe blitz when it was on...got pulled over and fined on the Northern Rd the cop told me to slow down because there's a lot of accidents on that road - well i know why!! it's not because of speeding... it's because of the knobs who sit on 60 or 70 in an 80 zone, and then ppl get the shits and overtake where it's not safe. Which is most of that road! I bet a few more overtaking lanes would lower crashes significantly..
  3. welcome, leech! :headspin:
  4. Operation Roadsafe: "A high profile police enforcement operation - supported by a public education campaign encompassing radio and outdoor advertising - will target a population base of more than 2 million people in Sydney’s northern beaches, lower North Shore, city, eastern suburbs, southern suburbs and inner west. We will be targeting areas from the Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs down to Sutherland and Hurstville and across to the inner west focusing on speeding drivers, drink drivers and people not wearing their seatbelts." isn't that like, almost everywhere?? remember double demerits start on Xmas eve too!!
  5. hahaa and also in the wrong section... moving to For Sale p.s. how much are u asking??
  6. no they're compltely stuffed Jay! somethings shorting out in the steering column...sometimes i can smell it burning and even see the smoke the ticking noise is on CONSTANTLY (that's whats driving me nuts!), and sometimes one indicator stays on, so if i flick the indictor the other way it looks like i have my hazards on LOL i have to keep jiggling the indicator stalk to try and turn em off...feel like a complete tosser when they stay on and I'm driving
  7. sounds like it will be a great cruise guys! have lotsa fun...& take lotsa pics!! wish i could be there, just a bit too early for me... and my car needs a MAJOR service + tyres, don't really want to take her out of town. I've also got friggin indicators that won't turn off atm, it's driving me crazy
  8. thanx Gold Rays...yeah i've heard good things from heaps of ppl about 901's - not just recently, but over the 3 years i've had my car, so i think they're the go..

  10. agreed chaos! i love my whale :inlove: except for the series1 rear spoiler...hate that spoiler..
  11. i think some ppl don't like the R33 because they think Nissan went a bit "soft", mostly in terms of the styling i guess... (I'm mostly talking Skyline owners here - ppl who love R32's & R34's but don't really rate R33's).. And then there's the tall poppy thing... the people who reckon there's too many around... "oh no I'd never buy one of those, they're as common as Commodores these days"...which is bollocks, count how many Commodores you see in 5 minutes on a busy road, compared to how many R33's
  12. how noisy? just curious - I was thinking of getting these
  13. depends how much of a lead foot you are I go thru about $50 a week in fuel and that's driving to work (20min drive each way) and a bit on the weekends.. a lot of things involved in running costs have nothing to do with the turbo (eg tyres, brake pads etcetc). You might change the oil a little more often, but a lot of ppl change it every 5,000kms anyway, turbo or non turbo. your major expense will be insurance, so that would be the real decision maker for me, if money's an issue
  14. i'd get a mechanic to look over it...even if you get the owner to take it to a workshop before you get there (and tell him you'll pay for it). Just for a bit of piece of mind.. (but that's just me).. have fun on your road trip !!
  15. yeah, but it's too little to see the SAU stickers!! hehe
  16. Jimbo you've never overtaken anyone ever?? even on a highway? (btw..not having a go, just amazed! )
  17. Sif! i love those cars! what colour is it? congratulations btw :headspin:
  18. heeey that's my pic! y'know, if you'd just showed pics of 2 types of rims, i would have said the silver ones straight away. But on your car, i like the gold ones...they actually made me think how nice your car looked, instead of it looking the same as every other silver R32
  19. shuttup you :slap:
  20. so i see Montoya's going to Mclaren in 2005.. do you think this will hurt his championship chances next year? Do you think Williams might leave him out of the loop in regards to developments etcetc, since they know he's leaving? anyone got any news or gossip for the 2004 season? I don't get much of a chance to surf the F1 sites..
  21. hey Adrian, congratulations matey...the pics look awesome! have fun on your honeymoon!!
  22. hey dukie, me & Damo will try to be there...as long as it's not too early!! pls forgive my dumbness on Saturday...i thought u were an old mate of Damo's when you two started chatting i wasn't even paying attention till u mentioned skyline stuff LOL i should have recognised u from the last cruise!!
  23. yeah! the bastards... hmmm, well i'll have to keep a lookout for this copycat skyline hehe...don't think i've ever seen another car with maroon plates! let alone on another maroon R33...how bizarre...
  24. wasn't me!! i haven't been to shelbyville in yonks!!
