  2. red looks awesome!! black is nicer than gunmetal, neo!! don't change it!!
  3. heh...saw a wingless white R33 in Mitchell, lowered...HAD to be the same guy He hammered it down the road, went tru the red light at the end, and had the car sideways up the hill...
  4. sounds like a nice car.. don't think i've seen it.. Franks (in Sydney) has a nice kit on his yellow R34...will dig up a pic!
  5. have you looked on the Gov site? i think they have the RAWS workshops on there, have a look: http://raws.dotars.gov.au/index.html
  6. hi saiyaman...saw 2 gunmetal R32s yesterday on the way to work...never know whether it's someone off here - there's so many in that colour!! keep a look out for me cos I'm on the southside as well - give me a wave if you see me! (wine red R33 - red 3 digit plates)
  7. hehe nice site carlo!
  8. will be in touch soon Anguss...got lots to tell ya
  9. If it was down the front, I think this means to change the timing belt at 100,000kms. anyway...as akeenan said, you can really only get the answers from Prestige. It all sounds a bit weird but who really knows what the proper story is? He has nothing to gain from giving false descriptions...and everything to lose...so I doubt there would have been any deliberate deception. The scratches could have been caused to the car after it got here, from whoever bought it. Who knows how it's been treated in those 3 months? As for the stalling problem... this is very common...see the performance section. All I can say, P1E...is don't be put off importing!! If you decide it's not for you, then fair enough...but find out the full story before you decide anything
  10. Got this email the other day (they must have sent it out to all the CAMS clubs) Dear Michelle, The Motor Racing Industry Pre-Release has begun. During the month of August 2003, the Mount Panorama Resort has been discounted for the Motor Racing Industry. This is a 'one off opportunity' to own a Strata Titled Luxury Serviced Apartment right on Conrod Straight, with prices starting from $250,000. No more camping or driving back into town during race week, you and your family or clients can now enjoy five star comforts. You may already be aware, there are no Hotels or large scale accommodation on the track and the town has been in need of luxury accommodation for years. The rest of the year is covered, if you want a return on your investment simply put your apartment in the Resort rental pool. Rydges Hotels & Resorts are under negotiations to manage the Resort. This is a special release of land by Bathurst Council for tourism purposes to enhance the race track, in addition the NSW State Government are spending 10 Million Dollars on major upgrades to the Pit Areas. The Pre-Release is strictly for one month only. L.J. Hooker Real Estate will take over all sales nationally from the 1St of September 2003 for the public release. Click here: www.MountPanoramaResort.com.au to view plan drawings of the Resort. Feel free to distribute this to other members of the Motor Industry. So there you go...might be a nice place to hang out a few times a year...like "The Great Race" and the 24 Hour...but would it be a worthwhile investment though???
  11. The threads that have been changed to say SOLD might have been done by a mod?? I don't think normal users can change their thread titles, but I might be wrong... and i can't test it out for you, cos I'm errr.. a mod LOL
  12. hahahaa yeah the next size down is too little!! glad to see it finally arrived Knat
  13. heaps of silver ones around too B-man! welcome to the site Mark, your car sounds v.sexy...put up a pic if you've got one!
  14. ooh yeah seen that before *vomits* the matt black paint really sets it off...
  15. the turbo timer itself isn't illegal...however leaving your car running while you're not there is
  16. Exactly!! i used to hammer my Laser around corners in the wet....first time i did that in the Skyline i almost ended up doing a full 360 lol zzzz, I'm sure she'll be fine - but as many ppl have said WET ROADS is where she might come unstuck. If you end up getting one, take her out somewhere deserted when it's wet and get her to put her foot down when taking a slow corner so she can feel twitchy the arse end can be of course, good tyres would prolly help..mine are crap
  17. congrats on the new car, zymotic the car looks very nice and clean, and auction grade 4 is very good (probably the best grade you will get for a 2nd hand car of that age). As for the turbo timer, i would just do whatever Geoff says...he knows what he's doing and would know how strict they're actually being with the new laws. the stereo should be fine...i thought it was only performance parts that had to be removed..
  18. Anguss you snob, where you been all this time eh?? don't just think you can come back here and impress us with flashy pics of your car! :upurs:
  19. hey CS_180, is your name Tim??? (you didn't put your forum name on the form) if so, i got your form from Carlo on Sunday and I'll be making up your card with the next group of ppl...expect it to arrive within a couple of weeks
  20. she'll be fine! I didn't find my R33 any harder to drive than my Laser...the only difference is, when you put your put down it actually goes LOL you can drive them around just like a normal car. Especially if it's going to stay fairly stock. The only thing that caught me out was changing to a RWD car...tell her to take it very easy in the wet, untill she gets used to it!
  21. I did this, and got away with it my car was 550,000 yen (which came to just under 10K at the time) so I showed the lady my receipt which showed this amount. so I only paid 3% on 10K instead of the landed and complied cost which was just over 20K. and yes, the law (in ACT anyway) is the price you paid, or market value whichever is the greater but they didn't see many imports here 2 1/2 years ago, so she didn't even think to question the amount I put.
  22. np Ewen someone buy this so he can get an R33!! :burnout:
  23. i think those chromies would look great on a red s14! Don't listen to what ppl say...if you like them, that's what matters! but just think...do you want an auto salon type look, or more of a racing look? i really like the Volk racing wheels, not sure how they'd look on an s14 though?? get someone to photochop a few different ones for you
  24. email sent!
  25. I've been lucky so far...2 1/2 years with no carpark dings on the Skyline...and I park at shopping centres A LOT what I don't get is dickheads who try to deny it, when you caught them doing it!! It's not like a normal accident where it's possible that you're to blame a little bit or whatever. IT'S ALL THEIR FAULT! for god's sake, just apoligise and take the blame my mum had this happen when a Hilux reversed parked literally halfway up her bonnet (he had a towbar too..nice)...and then he tries to deny it all? WTF?
