Dragon18, it's up to you really In most cases you'll save $$$ by importing, so yes, you'll probably be able to afford one in better nick or a newer model or whatever, than if you bought from a dealer here. The downside is you're relying on someone elses opinion/inspection of the car, so make sure you use a trustworthy importer I would go check out a few dealers, go look at a few private sales, and also join a mailing list like prestige motorsports (if you're not already on it) which shows you examples of cars in Jap and their condition/prices. Compare what you can get for your money and then decide which way you'd prefer to go... Personally I'd import :uh-huh:

It wasn't really a proper cruise, INeedNos, just a casual thing really. Jay95R33 & R32_GTS4T were already down the cotter having a bbq, SilverSlyder joined them, and I stopped past, ate their food and carried on LOL We'll have to get everyone together for a proper cruise soon hey? :uh-huh:

yep Dino my car's got 120,000 on it poor old girl I'll ask the guys about the bearings when I get her serviced then. Gradenko, that tyre drone noise sounds similar to my noise. It kinda pulsates though, louder, quieter, louder, quieter....etc. It's hardly noticable though, and some days i don't hear it at all.

Boxcar, i think you're missing the point. We ARE a national club. But we need to have separate state chapters.It's not just for the legal/govt reasons already mentioned in numerous threads. We are a huge country, could you imagine the headaches of only having ONE president, ONE (or two) vice presidents, ONE secretary and ONE treasurer trying to run this club over the entire country?? Every time you wanted to organise an offical club event you would have to send the money to the proper club official...who might live in Perth, while you're in Brisbane?? Each state needs to be able to organise their own events, within their own state, with other members who live there.

What sort of noise does it make when a wheel bearing is stuffed? My bf noticed a noise the other night that he thought might be a wheel bearing...it's not there all the time though, and it's not loud.

heya MaTBoY umm, i'm no expert on this...but most of the guys at the top level seem to have years & years of go-carting experience behind them. You could try joining a local comp in your area? see how you go? unless you're really rich I guess u gotta start at the bottom and try to show some talent and skills and hopefully get noticed by the right people
