    Stolen R34

Sorry to hear about it, your mate must be very pissed off I'll put it on performanceforums for you. There's a lot of Sydney ppl there, someone might have seen something.
  2. Where did you get it done, SilverSlyder? mmmm new suspension /adds it as number 759 on "things i need to do to my car" list
  3. Have a look at this thread on performanceforums, this is the guy responsible: http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/...readid=67117700 Also has some links to the story, if anyone missed it. I actually thought it was better than I thought it would be. When i heard about it last saturday i thought, oh hell here we go another Today Tonight type story, but at least they got a few different sides to the story, and seemed sympathetic to the fact that the drag strip would help if it had been approved. But agreed, headlines like "Need for illegal speed" and captions like "Fast and furious - another friday night of illegal street car racing on Lonsdale street in Braddon. Mobile phones keep everyone in contact as decoys and lookouts help deter police" (placed under a pic that is just basicly a few guys standing around chatting ) are very sensationalised. Doesn't help the image of modified cars at all...
  4. hmmm...dunno, about 26k?
  5. That paddy-wagon at the Opera House wrote them all down Jim! Pretty funny that EVERY number plate was personalised! NOZILR, ONARUN, UFO, GTR8OY, MTF hehehe No pancakes for us! Just half a beer each when we got home....lol Must go search my car for those maps...
  6. R33....yes, that was my car I came in on Friday night... all the way from Canberra did about 12 hours of driving that night LOL
  7. Looks like a stocker...and goes like a stocker LOL which is not such a bad thing...they're not exactly SLOW, even in stock form
  8. hahahha, well I followed ONARUN into the city and then i saw a sign that said "Liverpool" and followed that..... WRONG To make thing worse, I pulled over in some dodgy side street cos I thought i had a flat tyre! The car was making a weird thump thump noise and was pulling to the left. Turned out it was just a dodgy road with all those joins in it, and a strange camber that made the car pull
  9. I reckon they're a great idea. The cruise I went on in QLD had one at the front with slip, who organised the cruise, and another one at the back. We had about 20 Skylines and we stayed together for the whole cruise which went for at least 6 hours. If anyone got stuck at traffic light etc, we just waited up ahead for the rest of the pack.
  10. Minh! yes, it's true I didn't know who you were at first! I was just cheering to meet MissS13 finally and after i gave her a hug you were like "my turn" and I didn't even click that it was you till you told me. Well great to *briefly* meet you anyway...that was me up your Rexy butt on one of the mountain runs btw Jimbo you are the best shotgun passenger EVER! Anyone that can put up with my crap..."left or right?" "oh shit we need toll money" "that's my mobile ringing, can u find it for me?"...hey, you may have talked my ear off (j/k), but we had an entertaining cruise, did we not? LOL I'm just proud to have made you car-sick thru the twisties heheh Neil, Mel & Monty....great to see you again, and neil, if it wasn't for you i think i would have lost the whole cruise altogether cos it was your car I followed after leaving maccas when everyone else had pissed off already MissS13 & MYGTST...great to meet you guys finally!! Love the rear panel Marcin, and Jen after over a year of being the only chicks on SDU it's about time we got to say hi in person. George (ONARUN), get those brakes fixed boy! I'm with you on the 12 hours of driving thing, since i basicly came straight to the cruise after driving from Canberra. I was half asleep driving home on saturday...I kept thinking of Dr Karl's "micro-sleep" thing and slapped myself awake LOL In general, I'll just say the "runs" were interesting, but I had the most fun on those mountain corners That road was awesome! The later cruise we had (me, Prank, ONARUN, ndr, GTR8OY) was great too, cos we all kept together and went into the city, which is what i wanted to do while i was up there (since Canberra 'city' cruising involves like 2 streets). That's the first time my number plates have been written down by the cops - you guys are a bad influence hehehe! Prank...funny how it was only us nightshift workers wanting pancakes at 4am in the morning LOL red900ss, Prank, ONARUN...you know how I did an entire tour of the North Shore to meet you guys for lunch on Saturday? well, after that, I ended up on some crap road to Liverpool (missed the M5 altogether) and took the VERY long way out of Sydney. I had no idea where I was (Shell's navigational skills = zero) LMAO Well I've already written a novel, so I'll go now
  11. XrSiSt, in my opinion, defects and stuff like that are usually unfair and nothing more than modified cars getting picked on...I don't think the club would look down on members who get stuck with a defect. However, if the cops turn up at an illegal street race, and every Skyline there has a "Skylines Australia" sticker on the window...well that's hardly going to make the club look good is it We're not all angels, but bringing the club to the attention of the cops in that kind of circumstance, will NOT be looked upon favourably. It's not the image we want to have as a club.
  12. Oh, and check out this guys site: www.gtrcentral.com He is from NZ, also has a silver R34 GTR ("canman" from the SDU forums)
  13.  you just got a R34 GTR??? can I be your new best friend? LOL Congratulations, KamikazeR33! did you import it? can I ask how much? (u don't have to say if u don't want to)
  14. I can't find anything about it on the F1 sites skyzer but if it's true..then YAY!!! he will probably still win the championship..but if it's through points he actually EARNED then I'll be a lot happier hehehe check out the pic:
  15. Well, I'm staying on Oxford Street, just behind the Burdekin (if you know where that is) at a friends house...and no he's not gay Can you come straight into the city from work & meet me there? Would that be easiest? If not let me know..I will check on here when i get to Sydney tomorrow arvo. Shells 0417 041 323
  16. Spec2 Girl is from New Zealand, I'm not sure of the freight costs, but wouldn't it be almost as much as the mats? LOLhehehe nah i dunno how much it costs... I know it costs a dollar to send a birthday card
  17. wtf are you on about Birty?? George...absolutely positively...I will be putting up some info on that Sydney/Canberra cruise soon. I have a plan worked out...just have to get some final details...we can push the dates forward to when Troy & Kyles are here
  18. Wow! seriously, that's great! I've been waiting for a place that knows their shit about Skylines for ages. Pity he's in Mitchell (I work in Fyshwick & live Southside)...it's bad enough driving out there to get stickas off you!
  19. hey s13drifter, Still a bit of work to do to get SAU up and running....looking at next month probably. As for an ACT chapter...well this was discussed...and it's not totally out of the question. What we're doing (for now) is combining NSW/ACT. We'll see how many ACT ppl actually become official members of the club. If we get the numbers...we can maybe look at forming our own chapter. We would need several ppl serious about forming a committee....a President, two Vice Presidents, a treasurer & a secretary at the minimum. These ppl would need to be dedicated and available to help & put a bit of work in So, for now we will join up with the NSW guys and organise our own events and stuff in the ACT. If any of you guys have any ideas or want to organise stuff here...then go for it! Just cos we're part of the NSW chapter doesn't mean we have to wait for NSW to have a dyno day or whatever.
  20. and how exactly do you tell if your engine is "worn"? I have over 100,000 kays... the last 30,000 were done by me, so pretty gentle. Can't really know before that, but it seems to have been treated very well. Should i change to a thicker oil anyway?
  21. I asked him tonight and he doesn't want to come...so the front seats all yours baby! If you don't mind being in my boring "no-mods" car i hope you know the way to Thornleigh maccas Jimbo, cos i sure as hell don't LOL I'm staying in the city...whereabouts you at? you moved or something didn't you?
  22. Jeez you're a nosy thing aren't ya George?? :p:p (just kiddin babes!) He's going OS
  23. Yeah, I thought about a Motor Racing section Neil. Trouble is, from what I've seen on other forums, they don't seem to really take off  Maybe we try it out and see how it goes? What does everyone think?
  24. Great news! *phew* at least you know where it is now
  25. Oh! hehehe i should have known that
