sydneykid, how do you work out 250rwkw to be 420bhp?

INASNT & rev210, don't forget that both Garrett and HKS (basically garrett) rate the supported power levels of their turbo's at 1bar of boost. Also, as mentioned, if they 'apparently under-rate' the power levels of their turbo's, ~250rwkw might actually be possible at 1.4 - 1.5bar (~20 - 22 psi) along with modified cams, decent intercooler and very very fine tuning which i believe is most important and of course the fuel system to support this boost.power. But again, as mentioned, although possible this would be running the turbo way out of its efficiency range, so u could go for something like this and push it hard to get your power, or you can get something slightly larger and make the power easier and more efficiently.

the stock R32 GTS-T intercooler is not the most efficient intercooler due to its design, size and position, but it'll do the job with the factory turbo pushing 10-12psi, although ideally you'll be doing the engine and turbo a favour by upgrading to a decent front mounted unit. if you are looking at eventually modifying your car for more performance, i'd recommend you upgrade your intercooler so that should give you an idea of how good they are. cheers.

that's fair enough INASNT although i guess you can get the turbo and wastegate checked out by a turbo specialist and if at the worst case, a turbo rebuild will only cost around $400. wastegates don't usually stuff up, so that should be ok. it's a pretty good price considering you get an external wastegate, manifold and dump pipe with the package. re: clutch - if you can find a centreforce clutch kit, i'd go for this with a sprung centre ceramic puck clutch, very streetable and offer very good clamp force. do you have a preference for a ball-bearing turbo or it doesn't matter as you can get yourself a very nice bush-bearing turbo combo for way less than $2k. did u speak to dennis at P.E.T? I'd recommend you do, he'll be able to help you out with a good turbo combo for the RB25.

INASNT, P.E.T Mods are located in thomastown (as per below) P.E.T Modifications 7 Hanrahan St Thomastown 3074 (03) 9464 4225 the last R33 they worked on was pushing over 400hp at the wheels on their dyno. they built the EL Falcon that runs 10.25, although most of their work is around RB's (VL's, GTS-Ts and GTRs), etc. Dennis is very cluey when it comes to turbo combinations and the like. give him a call, he'll be glad to speak to you.

Ait, i think he means - Sierra. If so, and depending on what compressor wheel the turbo has, it should be able to flow quite well giving good power gains while still being streetable. if u don't mind me asking, how much did u pay for the hi-flow dude? what turbo did u use for the hi-flow operation?

yeah, it is polluted but not that bad. i believe taipei can get quite bad at times also. i'm not sure where it is and about procong as i found out about them after i left taipei when i was there last year. give them a call, it might be worth a try. good luck.

hey dude, have you looked into the Autronic SMC? it is just as good as the Motec ECU's and doesn't cost as much. i believe Allan Engineering in adelaide are Autronic agents. check them out, ciao
