  4. Hi disco, what are your thoughts on this turbo? http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/774728/Garrett-GT3076R-Ball-Bearing-External-Wastegate-Required-%28V-Band-Flange%29/pd.php i know it's the T04S comp wheel although it's a 52 trim. how different (in the real world) would this be to the GT3076 (with 52T GT37 comp wheel)? do you access to the comp flow map? the reason i ask is b/c i have been offered this same turbo (with A/R .63 exhaust housing), with very low kms & very cheap. just want to know whether it's really actually worth spending the extra $$$ on the 700382-5010 thanks.
  5. attached are some photos of the Cusco strut brace. Also, revised price for the clutch - $600 ono.
  6. hi guys, thanks for such detailed information even though it was a simple question ;-) Disco, would you by any chance have the part number for the T04E A/R .60 (without anti-surge snout)? given i'm looking to team up the core with a Kando/kINUGAWA .73, i dont expect to run into the surge area of the compressor (although i could be wrong). the primary aim is to retain the original 3" intake piping. Also, do you have any info/specs on the FG XR6 GT3576R? i'm keen to know exactly which compressor wheel is being used. thanks boys, great info as always.
  7. Jet, not sure that i'll actually be utilising the full potential of the compressor wheel to be honest so i think the A/R .73 will be perfect for what i need. price is my driving point right now. not sure it's wise to pay $450-500 for a genuine garrett and then hack it (weld external gate pipe). we can only try i guess. i'll provide results if i end up going this way.
  8. Gday all, thought i'd revie this thread seeing as though i'm looking to buy a 52T 3076R for my car. the question i'd like to ask though is; * is there a difference (in terms of spool/response/flow) b/w the standard T04E A/R .60 4" comp housing & the T04E A/R .60 comp housing with 3" intake (non-port shrouded - ala HKS GT3037)? the reason i ask is b/c i'd like to retain the standard 3" intake pipe. many thanks.
  9. hi guys, thanks for your responses. firslty, this turbo will not be going on an RBxx engine so there's no need to go to an A/R .82, and given the smaller GT37 52T comp wheel, it will be a more balanced combination. i wasnt aware Paul (STT) had acces to kando/kinugawa parts. i'll need to send him an email. GTScotT, it looks like i will need to be the pioneer in this sceanrio. the fact that it's .73 interests me, given i think it'll work well with the 52T comp wheel and allow for usable mid-range torque, also, the price is a win. jet, i understand your point about the genuine garrett but at $500, not sure i'll be able to sell it for a profit. also, given that i'll be running an external wastegate, i dont i'll have any issues. it would only be a problem if i was to go a non-genuine internally gated housing.
  10. hi all, i am currently in the market for a turbo for my car (not an RB), and am looking at the Garrett GT3076R (possibly 52T), although given the cost of the genuine garrett turbine housings and large gap in A/R (.63 - .82), i'd like to know if anyone has actually tried/tested a Kinugawa turbine housing on a GT3076R (such as below)? If so, what were the results? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbine-Housing-Kinugawa-Garrett-GT30R-GT3037-GT3076R-AR73-10cm-/290761422178?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b2bb3562 many thanks, RS500
  11. Hi all, i have some R32 GTS-T parts i'm looking to clear out from the garage. 1. OS Giken twin plate clutch (TS2B) including OS Giken flywheel - used It is in used condition, but held the power/torque of a RB24DET (and Trust T67) without problems when fitted, so will still run without issues on a street driven car. If it is to be used for track duties, i'd recommend a rebuild. brand new items go for minimum $2k http://otomoto.shop0...y-special-.html Price: $750 2. Cusco Strut Brace (adjustable) for R32 Gts-t - used It has a few light scratches but it is in excellent condition with no cracks in the welds. This is perfect for the R32 owners who are looking to embark on the odd track day. (pics to follow) the price below i am asking is firm, as i've seen other non-adjustable strut braces go for more on the internet. Price: $100 if you are interested, please contact me via PM or on 0404 891953. thanks, RS500.
