  1. I'm in the UK, the Cefiro basically doesn't exist here, it's not on any databases. Apparently they were able to find a figure, but this was relayed to me by the receptionist as "eight hundred and something", I don't even know what unit. Doesn't matter anyway as the condenser is leaking, and I can't get a new one until Tuesday. Getting one of a 1995-1996 A32 Maxima. Apparently the 1996-1998 A32 has a different one according to my supplier. Not sure what the difference is. I have to supply my own as even A32s are rare here and none of their suppliers can get one.
  2. My car is in having the aircon regassed. Problem is they just called me asking how much gas needs to go in it as they don't have data for it. Anyone know?
  3. A31s use S13 suspension except for the 4WD versions which use R32 suspension. Rear diff is S13 in all cases, even on 4WD. Auto gearbox is S13, not sure on manual but it probably is too. Engines are all RB execpt for one really crap version which used a 75hp CA18i All of them are 4 stud.
  4. Anyone know what size battery the Cefiro takes? Kind of need to know in the next few hours. The car is in for an MOT test after not having moved for a few months. Took it for a blast last night to charge it after jump starting but apparently that wasn't enough. I'm in work so need to get a new battery in my lunch break.
  5. I'll take the other one off your hands, if you don't mind posting to the UK.
  6. Can't edit my post, but it turns out that the plug is not the wrong one, the aircon bloke made a mistake and didn't realise that half the loom-side plug was still attached. As for the wire being too short, you can remove a few cable ties and reroute that bit of cable, so no soldering or crimping needed.
  7. R32 GTR air con compressor: The black wire is too short and has the wrong plug. Chop the one off your old compressor and solder it on. The red wire is for a pressure switch and can be left disconnected as the pressure switch is elsewhere on an A31. The mounting bolt at the top of the compressor at the back of the engine bay is too short, either replace with a new one or maybe the one from the original R32 will work. There is an extra part bolted to the R32 one that relocates one of the pipes. This can be unbolted and removed. When you see it it's obvious. Once you sort those out, it works beautifully.
  8. Air conditioning dryer Hella Part number 8FT 351 197-101 I will report shortly if an R32 GTR a/c compressor works. Minor modifications are needed, the bloke is just regassing the system now.
  9. Have to disagree slightly. Mine is a Series 3, manufactured in August 1993 according to FAST, yet it's AWD and has the clear projector headlights with separate low/high/fog. Where does the drink cooler go then? I'd love to get my hands on one of those as the standard single DIN drink holder can be annoying sometimes.
  10. Not keen on the fake wood on the C33 dash. Did they do any without that?
  11. Been offered an RB26 R32 one for free, problem is it's 200 miles away. Is this likely to have the same fittings?
  12. Just worked out the shipping costs on that dashboard.. Guess I'm not buying it
  13. Will an RB25 or 26 compressor fit? Might be worth getting one from a newer car that supports R134a natively. (Hychill is illegal in the UK, sadly)
  14. Dibs on that dashboard. Mine has a hole in it from the previous owner's mobile phone holder. Gonna cost me a fortunate to get that shipped to the UK. Are Import Monster any good?
  15. The lugs were snapped off mine too, but the whole thing went missing when my windscreen was replaced, so even a glued one would be an improvement. I don't have the bit of rubber either, but there's an obvious prong on the back of the arm for the mirror where it should be. S13s have the same thing only it's about 2mm too short. The wind deflectors are OEM as far as I can tell Guess the only bit I can get from you then is that silly bit of plastic. I realise I'm probably being a bit OCD wanting these but I want to try and keep this car tidy looking.
  16. I'm actually just after some really stupid little parts: 1) On the dashboard, in front of the driver, right up against the windscreen is a transparent square plastic blanking plate that covers a sensor of some sort 2) The little bit of rubber that goes between the rear view mirror and the windscreen 3) One of the little round pushpin things that hold the wind deflectors to the top of the doors 4) One of the little grey plastic screws that holds the plastic trim to the B pillar. Shouldn't be too much hassle to post them to the UK?
  17. Well the weak spot in my system is the auto tranny no there's no point in uprating the diff really, especially for one from a written off Skyline that's likely seen more miles and a lot more abuse. My Ceffy came with 28,000 km on the clock and even now is only up to 57,000 km But I really want a front LSD after an embarrassing situation the winter before last where I got stuck in the snow with 3 wheels spinning. I've been told on another forum that R33 and R34 GTR have front LSD, so if those will go on my Ceffy, I'm sorted
  18. Would you be prepared to post a few parts to the UK?
  19. Ugh, so it has to be GTS4 fronts, and either GTS4 or GTS-T rears. That sucks I take it I can't put GTS-T rear hubs on the front? Edit: Is the GTR front diff open like the Ceffy's or some kind of LSD.. Will be easier to justify swapping the front diff if I get an LSD too
  20. Model number needs to have an N in it for it for 4WD, e.g. NA31 or LNA31 Also the badge on the back will be "SE-4" for 92-on or "ATESSA Cruising" for earlier models.
  21. I already have R33 GTSt discs/pads/callipers. My main motivation for going 5 stud is so that I don't have to get the discs drilled any more! Not sure how he did the conversion, but I know it involved replacing the hoses with braided ones from a local company that makes hoses specifically for fitting Skyline brakes to S13s, so I'd assume no cutting of banjo bolts was needed. The problem I have is the guy I use, a local Silvia & Skyline specialist, has a nice rig he uses specifically for accurately drilling 5 stud discs down to 4 stud but he recently took on a contract with a local race team that runs SR20 MX-5s, so now he has no time for us normal customers. I need to be able to just drive into my local tyre+exhaust place staffed by 17yr old monkeys and ask for brakes from a 1995 Skyline GTSt Also, I was asking if R33 and R34 hubs would fit, not wheels! Are R32 GTSt hubs also 5 stud then? I thought they were 4 stud? That would make things easier as there's loads of GTSts being driven around by idiots in my local area, so I can just wait for winter when half of them will get wrapped around lamp posts and then broken for parts! And don't worry my 4WD Ceffy does get around. It's actually parked outside my workplace right now, and it's at a car show the weekend after next. If I quit my current job it will be my daily driver again too!
  22. So all I need is a set of R32 GTS4/GTR hubs, and a set of wheels of course. Awesome. (I'm thinking stock R32 GTR alloys) What about R33 or R34 ones? Will they fit? And thanks, I know what a subframe is, never heard it called a cradle before!
  23. Aha! found it listed as "cradle". I have no idea what that even means. Is there another name that one of those is known as?
  24. Thinking of going 5 stud so that I don't have to drill brake discs any more. The parts thread says to use S14 hubs but that isn't going to work for my car as it's AWD. Anyone know what parts I need to collect instead? I'm guessing R32 GTR or R33 but I don't know enough to be certain.
