  1. Is there a specific adjustment, THe people working on it say they have done it, but i have no idea if it is correct
  2. I purchased a 1995 GTR V Spec from Streetmachines when it was active a couple of years ago, the car was then sent to Malanco’s to have a new clutch and haltec computer install. ( by Justin) No idea where he is now. Both of these companies have now disappeared. The car was running sweet for a year and a half then we started getting the following problem. The problem is simple to describe. The car was driving perfectly, but suddenly (usually - but not always - when trying to take off from stop) the engine revs up but the car doesn't accelerate. On two of the three occasions, it has deteriorated so quickly that the car has simply not made it home and had to be put on a flat bed and carried home. The last time, when the clutch had just been re-installed after coming back from NPC, I had been babying the clutch, having been told to let it settle in, so this is not a case of me thrashing it. The problem first showed itself after I had had work done on a leaking slave and master cylinder. The mechanic told me that he had adjusted a threaded screw on the end of the slave cylinder (actually ON the end of the piston if he described it right). Yattla headworks suggested that this adjustment screw might be an after-market alteration since he was unaware of any adjustment there, but he also admitted that he owns an R32 and is not an expert on the differences between the R32 and R33. The clutch was built by NPC (performance clutches), and is a "pull style clutch with a modified NISMO pressure plate and a 5 puck carbotic face". When the clutch was inspected for a second time by NPC, he found that there was no damage or wear that might indicate a problem, but remachined the face, tested the springs and replaced the throw-out bearing to be safe. Some suggestions are that either the clutch has been poorly adjusted or more likely since there is no wear or damage to the clutch, that the transfer case is gone, but could not answer my question as to whether the transfer case is direct drive to the rear wheels and hydraulic clutch to the front OR hydraulic clutch to both front and rear wheels. If the transfer case is direct drive to the rear wheels then it does not explain why the the car loses power and won't drive at all. I have had the gearbox out 2 times so far and still don't have a solution, this is costing me a fortune, it would be worth it if it was fixed. Can any tell me if they have come accross this problem before and how it was fixed Cheers
