Thanks again to all of you for your input - I had a reply from both sellers currently listing these pumps, both said: "The gears are 14.5mm and they're made from sintered steel" So I guess these pumps might be marginally better than an N1 pump, but still in my books not an option. Nitto - thanks so much for your in-depth insight - the final nail in the coffin really. Again, I would LOVE to get my hands on one of your pumps, but it is simply out of my price range - I have an RB30DET making around the 300kw mark, fairly mild and with the whole motor tallied up is only worth around 2K all up (std. internals etc.) - I just cannot justify (let alone afford) spending that much money. I will be getting some billet gears for my N1 pump, as that is MY best option - everyone needs to weigh up all their options, and that is best for me. - and on that note - Nitto, do you sell billet gears for the N1 pump? So in conclusion for these pumps - exactly what they appear to be - cheap.

Yea, it's quite funny, all of you have just replied exactly what I have gone over in my head - why take a risk like that with an untested product? But then, if it is modeled off a Nitto pump, and has the same quality gears, at a price like that, then how can you go wrong? Tough decision, I have asked all who are selling them on e-bay to elaborate on the gear size/material so will see what they have to say. I have pretty much made up my mind on the billet gears for my N1 pump though - roughly the same price for known quality results. But as N1GTR said, there is no reason we should be able to get a quality pump at a reasonable price.

Hmm, Nismo, Jun, Nitto etc all use the shark-fin outer. This pump looks very similar to Nitto and G-reddy pumps, as they have a similar 8-bolt backing plate flange. Nitto Pump: Key I guess is the width of the gears (std 11mm) and material. Is there noone that has used these pumps before?

Hey all, done a lot of research about which oil pump to use, then found this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-RB-SERIES-HI...=item20b3e94e13 Anyone seen/heard of/used one of these??? If so, good or complete sh!t??? Looks very similar to a G-reddy/nismo style pump. Obviously would love to get a Tomei, but cannot afford one. Any info on these good or bad would be very helpful.
