If you guys are interested i just picked up my wide angle lens for my camera, so i think i should be able to get an awesome shot of all the stagea's in one fram....
-
I am sure they will have the limiter off, i know the grey import GTR here in adelaide has it off, simple ECU tune. i also know of a GTR going around the country as a Privet thing that is the AUS spec car and that has no limiter on it.. either way that shouldn't be an issue

is it to late to submit photos? i have about 5 photos that i would like to submit, 2 of a Black R34GTR and 3 or so of the R35 GTR, all photos taken here in SA but not my cars, no numberplates are shown aswell..... have the photos in Hi-res aswell, each photo being about 4mb each..
-
if you guys are interested in getting some photo work done, i would love to come along, only have 2 issues.......... 1) i drive a yaris so i don't think you guys want that on the cruise, even tho it is a cool yaris 2) I think i only know one person on here.... Kidafa would have finished my exams by then and also my 10-20mm lens would have come in by then...

if your interested in coming down to adelaide i can set up a good photoshoot, otherwise you can always fly me over to NSW

From experience over the past few months i can tell you that a brand new Porsche 997 Turbo crate engine from the mother land is gonna cost you $155,000, since the GTR is suppose to be a turbo for half the price, would it be wrong to assume that you would be paying 50-70ish grand for a new crate engine for the GTR?

awesome shots! good work with the reflection one

i don't know who told you the tamron and sigma are crap....... i can tell you now they are not!! if you can afford it you should go for the nikon brand, but other than that the third party ones such as Tokina and sigma are 98% as good as the nikon/cannon ones and tamron is not that far behind. the third party ones are awesome for the price, i know many pros that use them as they can not justify the price. the main differences is the build quality, not saying they are crap, they are very good but the nikon are just a little bit more durable. also sharpness, they claim to be more sharp but every person i talk to can not pick it..... hope that helps. let me know if you need more info

the shots shown above were taken with either my 18-135mm nikon lens or the tamron 70-300mm, i also have a 10-20mm sigma lens but that is yet to make it to a track day. when i get the D300 the 10-20 will be making more of an appearance
-
need the upgrade, getting more and more request to come up to track days now, and i also wanna start doing car photo shoots soon...
-
yes the D80, gonna be upgrading early next year pending funds, looks like it will be a D300
-
Not my car but it is my photo, took it a few weeks back.
-
Not sure why they are coming out so crap when i shrink them down using my Mac..... this is slightly better....

Hey guys, just found this section so i thought i would post a few pics, i do allot of track work up at Mallala International Raceway here in South Australia, don't do much skyline stuff but a small group of them came up to a track day recently along with the new R35 GTR so i put in a few of the photos from that day, almost all my work is with Porsche's, mainly 997 GT3's so i put in a few of the photos i have sold of them to. The first picture was requested by a client to be printed as an A1 size poster so i did that for him and it turned out incredible!! no pixelation what so ever, so if anyone is interested in one you can PM me, also some of my work is for sale here, http://www.redbubble.com/people/farid/ I have managed to get a whole day photo shoot with the first South Australian delivered new GTR when it lands here in June 2009, it will be a Black on Black/red interior, the white one pictured below is a grey import and isn't a Australian delivered car, will keep you guys posted on the photoshoot.. anyways, enjoy the photos, comment to let me know what you guys thing, good AND bad comments My A1 size GTR poster

thanks all for the welcome messages, just thought that i would let you guys know that i do sell some my work, the reason i am letting you guys know is because for one week only the company that i sell my work through are giving free shipping, just use the code "100000masterpieces" works till next week, the 30th. if people are interested in the R35 GTR poster that i printed and showed on the first page, i print and sell it locally, sold a few of them as A1 posters if people are interested, just PM me...... http://www.redbubble.com/people/farid/

you CAN not do anything stupid...... BUT when temptation is there..... you telling me that you have never broken the recommended speed limit by more that 50%?
-
should be heading up there a bit over the summer, i was supposed to head up on the 7th of November but i got a physics exam on the 8th so don't think it would be a smart thing to go, and you guys also have a drift day on the 8th....... but after the 20th i should be able to go out.
-
would sell it and get something else but not a big fan of doing stupid stuff on the road, i leave it for the track, thats why he got me a yaris, he was fair happy with my yr12 TER and very happy with my uni degree so at the beginning of this year he got me a yaris for my first car. i am looking around for next year to get something, like an old corrolla and strip it out and make it a dedicatted track/hill climb car, not road leagl.... my cousin is building a locost kit car from scratch and thats a ball at the moment, we are enjoying that and it should be finished and on the road with in 12 months
-
can't do anything major with out dads approval, he bought me a brand new yaris after year 12............ i was pushing for a late 1980's early 90's porsche 911 ....
-
hahah yeah, should catch up soon, sms me when your free..... yes that would be me over at AE, thought i would pop in here since i have a soft spot for jap cars, big subaru nut..... don't think the old man would let me get a skyline, still at home so dad has the final word.....
-
thanks, if you let me know about a drift day i should be able to make it out...... just hope there is some skill on your behalf
-
My current camera is a Nikon D80 with a various array of lens's, will be upgrading to a D300 or D700 early next year, pending funds i don't go upto mortorcycle track days, would love to go but haven't been informed of dates, the track days i goto i always know someone there and they ask for me to come up, but i would be happy to come up and get some snaps, have a silent love for 2 wheels..... not me ..... yet...... when i get a few things done to it, maybe track it......
-
Thanks for the welcome, the pics of the skylines were all taken on the same day, most probably when you guys were up there, thought i would put them up since they are the only skyline photos i have, 85% of my photos are of Porsche's, the rest is basically Ferrari and BMW, these are the only skyline photos i have so i thought i would share
-
They are all very clear photos, but for some reason when i shrunk them down on my mac they don't look as sharp anymore, the A1 size poster i did of the GTR, it is as clear as it can be and not pixelated at all, sold 2 of them as A1 posters.....
-
as much as i would love to come out and take some snaps, BUT uni exams are coming up and i have one on the 8th of November, so all this weekend and till the middle of November i am studying......
