as a long time soccer fan... flares burn for about 120seconds... they cost about $60 for a pack of 4... (2 signal flares, and 2 smoke flares) cheaper alternative (but dangerous one to a degree) is to go down to the suburbs where there are heaps of boaters... jump into their boats and take em... regards... :shake:

raced an r31 abit back. stock as a rock auto- against my rb25de auto. with a cat back 2.5" kakimoto exhaust... from start we were even untill about 70kph and only then did i take off on him... was suprised 4 sets of long lights on spencer/claredon in melb CBD...

noise epa- passed it last week...

dunno- maybe he tested urs as a GTST instead of a GTR.. i think mine was tested as a GTR.. he aske dif it was and i didnt reply so i dunno

just got back from the test- took 5 mins... "The noise level emitted from this vehicle tested at 3,200 RPM was 87 dB(A). Accordingly i am satisfied that this motor vehicle complies with..... in that the noise emitted... does not exceed the max. permissible noise level of 99 dB(A)." so i was well off, even though i watched it click 91dB... stressed for nothing ey...

it says where and when- was issued after i got pulled over for a breathe test- and when i took off the **** must've taken my rego and then reported me... going for tests tommorow... its 2.5" cat-back with a 4" tip... should be ok...

basically i got my epa notice today... but basically i got compliance on the whole lot 2months back when it was imported. so how can they send me a notice if i havent changed anything?

Heres the question... i got a budget of around $800 - $1,000 give or take a hundred or so for a system for my r33... what you guys rekon i do? i'm talking the works, if subs where, where for the amp, how many speakers, etc... what would you guys do in my case... i already got a deck- kenwood.... 50w x 4 blah blah blah... seen it in JB-HIFI for $499... nothing drastic in that... bought it when i got my car about 2 months ago not knowing what i would do (if anything) to the audio system for the future... the stock skyline speakers are finished, gone, done... so what you guys think i should do? just interested in afew suggestions diff to mine...

i've got a 2.5" cat-back system and am thinking of getting my extractors done some time soon... will i need a cat? and what are the pro's/con's of not having a cat/>

for all those fresh 18 year olds... $750 third party $2800 comprehensive with justcars... no mods mentioned... will be calling them to find out about how much each mod will up it...

i just gave melbourne city nissan service centre a call and after trying somehow to communicate with the bloke there... he gave me a quote for $177... ONE fog light... NO switch, NO wires... just ONE headlight... hahahah... anyone able to find something?

group buy would be a bargain... i might give afew places a call and find out... whats the name of them? M-spec fog lights? anyone got any better pics of them?

im going to quickly steal quick33's avatar just to show the ones im talking about... the ones that can be easily slotted in place of the grill in the M-Spec bumpers... .. anyone help me with where they got theirs? any pics? regards!

Oil Rings in Air Filter Box? talk to me guys...

streamer... mines now at 89k.. last week i had to change 2 coil packs and the spark plugs, as well as all (3) fan belts... this weekend i'm doing the oil filter... anything else you suggest as we're at about the same km's..? what oil filter and oil you suggest? on my lunch break just before i popped the hood and opened up my air filter cos the mechanic i went to last week told me that i've got "oil rings" at the pit of my filxer BOX... whats the deal with that? i'm going to put in a POD filter in afew weeks when i finally get a free whole weekend. anyone got any pics of how they did they pods? i'm looking in the direction of nismoman8 i think... as i'd want to do something like he did.

thats because you're in perth. im in melbourne and there arent as many in the west but in the south eastern suburbs... shit loads...

when i first got the thing i used to give it to it haaard at every light waiting for someone to run with me. same goes for when i used to go down to the south east suburbs on friday and saturday nights... it heaven down springvale road... every set of lights with r33s, r32s, commodores, ftos, etc wanting a run... thats the price to pay for a skyline...

so you rekon the extractors ($450) and hi flo cat ($300) would be the way to go?.. looking at around $800 for the lot... anything else you'd get done while im down there already...? i see you're in melbourne... any good places you recommend? or websites i pay a visit to? thanks in advance... cheers!
