  1. ok cool, I've actually got a set myself in a pearl white. was looking for a second not as important set for spare rubber. ill keep an eye on ebay. if they are the advan rims they are worth a bit, otherwise its a total rip off.
  2. you still got these? interested. are they plain white type or more of an off white perl colour?
  3. Hey mate, PM sent earlier in the week about the power steering rack + if you had anything else left over from this car at this stage. Cheers.
  4. Hey, Is the power fc still available?
  5. +1 for plugs, also check on how they are gapped and the heat range etc. Look at all of the basic stuff before spending time and money on something that may or may not solve the issue. I'm having issues as well because of the colder weather, however turning the boost down seems to have done the trick. I'm thinking my iridum plugs aren't liking the colder weather.
  6. Hello, I've got a used set of Geniune Nissan Headlights R33 S2 which are still in pretty good condition, except for a broken clip which is very repairable (thinking of even fixing myself before pick-up/sending it off) Located Castle hill area $350 for both headlights. Willing to ship, but would prefer pick-up.

  8. Aftermarket airbox? is it just black or like really fancy colours or something? I just read this off the site: "Meets new JASMA 90db average noise limitations". Average doesn't mean it WILL be under 90db no matter what... Also, JASMA is a Japanese standard not an Australian Design Rule (ADR) standard which even still counts for nothing in the end, if they want to list it as a defect for a mechanic to check out, they can. He heard you rant about your 'racer exhaust' and only heard the words 'defectable aftermarket exhaust with blue tip to make my job x100 easier'. FYI Just be careful planning out future mods, do alot of research to make your car as legal as possible as an engeneers certificate doesn't make you immune.
  9. You need to attach the oil filter block to the engine block, so you can screw on the oil filter or adapter for the oil cooling system. I'm pretty sure you cannot connect it straight up to the engine block as that's how I was going to get around replacing my oil filter block. Also, FYI - you will need a gasket for the oil filter block to against the engine block. Justjap sell and stock them http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=18637&cat=318&page=1 so you don't have to buy one off nissan directly. Here's a picture of an oil filter relocation kit just so you can see what I mean (you need the thread to hold the connector on there, it wont attach directly to the engine block): http://www.full-race.com/catalog/images/s2000%20oil%20filter%20relocation%20kit1.jpg
  10. If your going to be using S1 coilpacks you need to hook the S1 harness up to an ignition module, if your using the S2 coilpacks, they have the ignition module built in from memory?? Anyway all I know is, S1 need ignition module and S2 doesn't
  11. What I believe Yeedogga is trying to point out is that we live in a democracy. We don't over punish crimes (like sending someone to a distant colony to live the remander of there sentance as a slave for stealing a loaf of bread). The whole concept on Section 10 makes it easier for police where they can push the matter further and quicker because they know the person can use Section 10. It also would give majority of the people shock of going through the justice system so that they aren't repeat offenders with no hope. And as it's been said in earlier posts, Section 10 can ONLY be used if the courts allow it. You can't use it if you run someone over obviously, it's only for smaller charges. You need to ask the judge you wish to use it and the judge has to allow it, if it isn't allowed then everything goes on as it would normally. Therefore there is no 'loophole' per say, it may not be perfect but its a part of a democracy. Just a counter-point for you to think about. It's a privilage, not a right.
  12. Yeedogga - My point was about Section 10 is, if you commit an offense down track, not only could you get charged for that offense + loose your license at an inconvenient time later on. So it doesn't really save you in the long run if something happens later on, would only use it in dire need rather then say a small traffic fine. I'm all for the RTA following the law like everyone else and everyone having a chance to use an important option It's great news, thanks for sharing.
  13. Section 10 is basically a legal tool you can use if you have had no prior trouble with the law. You can plee that this is for first offence or first serious offence and it's out of character. So you can skip gaol time or fines (sometimes) but your told never to appear before the courts again. Section 10 can be seen as a plee of guilt as well for future references. Section 10 is like a get out of gaol free card each person gets in there entire life to use. Only issue is, if you go back to court later on for other charges that aren't related you can end up being charged (as well) for the original charge which you had under Section 10 ontop of your current charge. I wouldn't waste a Section 10 on demerit points... P.S. I'm no law student so that not might be 100% correct but you get the idea.
  14. It sounds more like a jet turbine with the way the air moves through it? +1 check for shaft play in the turbo. From experience though, this could be the rear turbine wheel (exhaust wheel) is starting to bust up and break away.
  15. Thanks, good info. "Some people believe that if they fit a very big intercooler with large ducts, the volume of charge air within it will unduly slow throttle response. Their concern is unjustified however - throttle response problems (for example, turbo lag) are largely the result of other factors within the forced induction system, not the volume of air within it." <- Thats exactly what I needed cleared up.
  16. How old is the battery thats currently in the car? Maybe it's not holding a strong charge anymore? I had a similar issue to you after I got my alarm system + immobliser installed, it sounded almost exactly like your situation however mine only made a ticking noise and the light flickered when you tried to kick the engine over. I spoke to the technican from the immobliser company as this was like 2 weeks after the install and they immediately diagnoised the fault as being a dead battery. Even though I could turn on my head lights and still get a fair bit of power through the system, with the immobliser installed I needed more power to crank the car over. I think from memory I was told I needed 14V/va. FYI - We put a larger battery in my car as I still had the standard jap battery in the car and its cranked over fine ever since.
  17. +1 interested in response differences, after a responsive setup.
  18. Is this 'ticking' noise happening when your trying to crank it over and/or the light for the immobliser is flashing when you do this?
  19. When your trying to get it to fire, is it just making a ticking noise? I'd be giving the battery a charge up (even if it still has power to turn on lights etc), when you kicked it over a month ago, it still might have had enough power and you only let it idle for 10mins therefore it would not have been enough to fill the battery up and you need a larger charge in the battery to get the straight 6 to fire. Plugs seem unlikely and a lot more effort to go through to double check as a cause.
  20. Using aftermarket coilovers, or done any changes to caster rods etc recently?
  21. He's asking about trying to do the safe thing and get more grip which all of us should be pushing to make sure we have as much control over our cars as possible. He's not some idiot asking to make it easier to fish tail everywhere all the time cause its 'cool' to be a duche... so easy up on the comments on someone who is new and hes trying to do the RIGHT thing. I had something like this when I first got my line, had a good/expensive set of Potenza's on there and had brillant grip in the dry but as soon as it was a little wet it was bad always loosing traction even under 10kmph/1500-2000rpm if the road was slippery enough. Check your tyres, there are different types of tyres i.e. ones that perform better in dry/wet situations. Also, check or get your suspension checked out, I had stockies that had tighter springs on the front, therefore making my car dip at the front so the rear was really light and liked to jump around. If your suspension is really worn then this also explains why your having issues with grip as when you loose grip your suspension is suppose to apply force and help hold your wheel to the ground so you have contact with the surface, obviously the more contact you have, the more grip you have. After I changed my suspension setup + tyres to my liking, I've been in complete control at all times unlike before. Also, (try this as a temp) if your tyres are pumped up a lot say 38/40psi try lowering them to 33/35psi as the tread will hug the road more meaning you'd have more grip. PS you may not think of it this way, but getting more grip means the power your engine is making more of it will be going to the road meaning you will be making more power safely.
  22. VSD = traction control in those models. So, if you put your foot down hard from say a set of lights, your car will try to stop your wheels from spinning if its set to on. Also helps out in wet weather when loosing traction is more likely to occur.
