  1. It does really depend on how far down it is , even if it is not down to the metal if it has made it's way to the primer u will need to go for a really heavy cutting compound and plenty of heat to soften the paint, other than a respray two methods too try would be some 2500 grit wet sanding then hit it hard with cutters on an elctriic buffer, or the slow way which again is 2500 grit wet sanding then a heatgun and some soft cutting compound basically to repair the scratch( anything not repaired here u could use touch up on) then a big cut and polish too get it all level and glossy, both have worked well for me in the past. A large bat will deal with the culprit, and I would definitely suggest taking ur time with that, for the satisfaction.
  2. Most of the guys on here who are involved in any kind of motorsport, rallies, circuit, drift whatever will tell you that suspension and body control are not only more I mportant than power at the wheels but you will achieve a greater improvement for a lower cost, so as above start with a diff, 2 way is best but u can get the diff shimmed to lock it up as a start, coilovers, and some stiff swaybars, costwise it depends how far u want to go and how much u can do yourself, probly 2000 will get u some 2nd hand coilovers a shimmed diff and a rear sway bar probly with change.
  3. As much as I'm over na cars and love my stagea, my first car was a 33 na and I still miss it could barely pull the skin off custard but that didn't mean I didn't try good luck in your search

    Ratpiss Kids

Easy if they are going near the car just mix together some Vaseline and the hottest chilli product u can find I guarantee they will do it one more time and that's it, also make sure to remove it after that u will be impossible to blame, stupid kids ,( I wouldve said sit out the front with a 22 and take pot shots but that may be ott lol
  5. Hey I've got custom plates on mine, username will give u a hint to what they are, no one has a clue what it means unless it's another stag. Exhaust is pretty loud, well and truly illegal if it was tested but I've only been pulled over to be asked what car it was, don't know about other states but I've had no trouble.
  6. What a mad cruise, good seeing so many faces hopefully it can all happen again soon.
  7. That first wasnt me I don't think the second one definitely was ,didn't notice the grumpy look though it took me a while to register when u were coming towards me
  8. You answered your own question third party insurance only covers the third party - that is not you , and the only way that's a write off (which is irrelevant "third party" means no money for a write off) is if the rear damage has affected the chassis ( they will likely just pull it straight) on the bright side u probably only need a new front quarter panel and rear door the rest can be repaired and repainted talk to a panel beater and my bet is they will say just that, and cost depends on what u do yourself and the panel beaters mood, still a pain in the arse though good luck with it all.
  9. I'm still in lucky I read the last thread though otherwise I would e been waiting a while
  10. In for sure see everyone there
  11. If your going to change the colours of the plastics you really need a plastic/ vinyl stain instead of paint that way scratches will remains the darker colour and not stand out, as for the headliner remove it from the car and retrim it in whatever fabric you like,if you really want to use something like a vinyl wrap u need to remove the fabric then use a wire brush on a dril and remove every bit of foam, I did it for a leather trimmed car when I put the sunroof in it, not fun (time+tears)
  12. I doubt u will pick up a stagea for 5k but you might find a reasonable one for under 10k so it would have to be a series 1 and I would look for one with the tow bar already done ,they would have to be the most fun option compared to the others, but at the end of the day if it's work car and it will cop a hard time the commy or falcon will be easier/cheaper for parts.
  13. 100% in for this when it happens

  20. I bought my very first car there R33 S1 did not miss a beat, if i had a problem they would do everything possible to make it right, traded it in and ordered my stagea from japan through them not a single drama as far as cost etc and the car is sweet, i cant recommend them enough
  21. check under the boot seal too, stageas love to rust there also a couple of guys have had trouble with rust under the roof racks. i hit mine pretty hard with a four inch grinder then rust converter until its all changed colour ,then paint it. Also the electric mirrors can be problematic once they get older but its just a case of pulling them apart and cleaning them up a bit.
