Compression test came out to 145-150-155-160-160 so its OK and was rebuilt less than 15k kms. My mechanic did the timing test and here's the result: Exhaust is spot on. However intake was a bit less than a teeth.. maybe 80% of a teeth. I was told.. if it would be off, BOTH cam should be, not just one. whats your take on this ?

Exactly, I dont consider these camshafts too aggressive, not to mention, I'v ebeen runing these for 3 summers now. so I know how they should sound.. i just always thought it was my tune with nistune who wasnt good hence why i went with the haltech. So basicly.. if it's off, it's not like I have to buy a new set of camshaft or go for a ''head'' rebuilt ? I have great respect for my tuner but he is not a mechanic ( nor I am, I believe in '' if you don't know what to do, don't try and do it, but that doesnt means I don't have the right to understand whats going on with my car ) and i left the dyno at 2h am, so at this point we couldn't diagnotic the problem. The car run great with the new tune, it just that it don't make the low-end power i was used to and the top-end theres a lost of 75 whp, but mid-range sound ''about right'' compared to last year tune.

I'm having a very lumpy idle, way more than before, I thought it was the nistune, but i just got back from the tuning with new haltech ecu. Is it better ? Yes, but still lumpy. I also made serious lost of power than 2 yr ago ( about 15% less), my tuner think it could be that my Poncam is missing a tooth. But to be honest, I'm unsure what it means and.. what can I do to correct it ? do i need to start thinking about buying a new set of cams ? thanks!

BNR32 1990 My budget is on the low-side. My rear diff is leaking, I guess it's the seal. I'm also paying my mechanic to swap the rear diff bushing to Solid one. My car is putting about 600whp but is never saw the track ( maybe I will start this summer..). Would you go on and try to find an used rear diff 1.5 way or keep my oem ?

A couple friends had beers this weekend and one think he has a intercooler leak. So... one guy came with the idea or wetting the intercooler and seeing if it's leaking from the front bar. Does that make any sens as a ghetto way of doing it ? Also, i told him if there's a leak on the bar, he could cold-weld it. Does it make sens or I should tell him to forget my idea lol ? thanks guys

thank you, we will use the intercooler piping due to time restaint and we dont feel like removing the intake ( big job..)

Hey guys, with minimal tools, is there a way to thread the Haltech IAT sensor at the OEM location or somewhere else easy ? I bought this sensor and going for a tune with the Haltech ecu this week-end. However, I still havent figured if I will be able to use my Haltech sensor or not. thanks!

Hello there, It appears the right CAS for BNR32 is the 23731- 08u00. However, I have in my hand a mitsubishi that look very quite similar to the one installed on my car but part number is 23731-02u11. ( which is stated good for 93 to 97) Anyone ran into this problem ? Thanks!

This is what I was hoping with gtx2860.. Not really after extra whp. the extra 40hp is just a bonus for me. I was hoping the gtx didn't need to be pushed to 30psi to get this ''benefit''. Had a read on the zilvia forum today and it seems like the gtx does offer a better throttle response than the older gt28.

like said before. running past 25-28 psi can be playing with fires if no good fuel. I'm running 94 octane + WMI so I don't really expect to run past 28psi.

New wheel design along with ligther material and anti-surge cover could be a factor in the spool time. Food for though... I'm really not a turbo expert and trying to learn as much as I can recently.

After much thinking and discussion with my mechanic, a single turbo is a no-no... ( sure it's the way to go.. but its also about 7.5k once everything is done lol) So I came back with my initial idea to get a GTX upgrade. And I would like your input, especially with the folk who had it done. Finding a turbo tech in my area who is willing to machine/work a gt2860 compressor housing to the gtx28 cartridge seems impossible.. I would need to ship it, pay more , waiting time.. All in all, seems like I can't find anything for less than 200-400$ ( rough estimation). So, I'm thinking how much of a hassle it is to redo some piping to make the gtx compressor housing with gt2860 exhaust housing bolt on a rb26 ?? Thanks for your input! And if I may, do we agree by saying the gtx2860 should yeild spool similar to gt-ss and gtx2863 spool like -5s ?
