Tomei Oil Pump Won't Fit With Crank Collar ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Once a collar is installed it can be removed ? how much extra hours would you estimate to de-assemble and re-balance everything ? I should've checked my stuff, but at the same time, theres a reason why i paid a mechanic and a machinist to do it for me, its because i don't know how to do it... so i can always make him pay for the extra hours as i can't see myself being blame for this mistake. -
Tomei Oil Pump Won't Fit With Crank Collar ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nitto and reimax/Nismo are my option. I will go for the lower volume. not sure i need 65l/6000rpm pumping. Yeah.. i wish my builder would've checked sooner. ANyways. -
Tomei Oil Pump Won't Fit With Crank Collar ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
so basicly my choice are to decide between a NISMO or a REIMAX pump.. trying to see if both of them can accept the jun collar and then it's a question of flow.. one seems to flow 20 Liter more of oil and way bigger rotor ( reimax). -

excited to drive mine so wanted to get some review from others hahaha -
What a bummer !!! Machinist assembled my whole bottom without realising the tomei oil pump won't fit with a crank collar... So what are my best option now ? Nismo oil pump, Nitto, N1 + reimax gear ? i really wanted to run the tomei pump, like i never heard no where that i couldn't use a crank collar.. even Jun collar state it will work with tomei pump. I don't know what to think. They tried with a std crank and the tomei pump fitted.

It was suppose to be back 2 month ago.. couldn't find a RB26 Head over here... decided on buying a built motor with ported head.. the seller decided to bail out 3 weeks after we agreed on a price.. so i'm now back to square one.. I found a head, will be picking her up in 1 week and mechanic and machinist will put me in priority to finish the car ASAP. If ever i find the 83 too powerful or too laggy, my plan is to go with a 76/70 1.05. since i'm already external. I want it to grip and be quick. Don't care about the dynoqueen braggin right.

thats what I feel too, just suck i already fitted that expensive aquamist kit lol..
-
My tuner told me on a 650whp/23-25psi on 94 octane ( canadian rating), I should only use my aquamist for '' cleaning'' purpose more than to add power. have you guys felt the same ? Seems like most of your result are with E85 instead of pure petrol. At this point, I'm wondering if its worth the hassle and the price just to clean the motor !? Please share your input as I'm about to make a decision either I part it or keep it on the car.

Long story short, I got this RB26 EFR 83/74 build going on, but due to too many '' bad luck'', I kinda lost interest in my R32 GTR after owning it for 7 year. With that said thought, I bought a brand new Nismo front LSD 1.5way ( they only have one) and a Nismo GT PRO for the read ( adjustable so i can set it at the lowest value for street use. However, I'M thinking about selling the car a few month later ( things might chance.. i could deeply felt in love with the new setup and decide i want to keep it, but i believe i passed the point of coming back to liking it). Given these facts, would you just use the stock diff setup or install only one diff or both ? As we all know, beeing new I have more chance to sell it at good price than if I install it and use it for a few month.. BUT !! if these new diffs could make my car drive better and pull better... then maybe this mod will make me like my car again lol..

Nismo/greddy Sump Vs. Tomei/rips Sump ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Guys, I'm talking about the true Nismo pump ( if it was a N1, i would've call it a N1 pump) its the Nismo selling close to 1000$. I just thought the 3piece of the tomei was a more solid design and flow a bit more oil so i went ahead and dropped the coin on it. Rips vs the greddy= about the same amount of oil extra cc, but the rips sit higher so less chance of rubbing since I drive in the city a lot. But then, why change a winning formula right ? lol -
So i'm about to buy the built engine form my friend.. the head is ported, forged bottom, made 650whp on a mustang dyno with a PTE6466 ( I believe... or is it 6266? wtv lol!) Problem is I was going to build mine and the build included a TOMEI pump and RIPS sump ( already bought). So, I spoke with my mechanic and he doesn't like the idea of doing that swap. Reason being '' I know this engine run perfect and has no problem AS IS, i would hate to swap the nismo pump/greddy extension sump, install the tomei pump and rips sump and found out you have an oil problem or timing issues since we need to undo all that too. I would prefer to do a drop-in affair. '' Your though ? Car will be ''spirited driving'' and see the drag strip on occasion. ( I wish to do some lapping/time attack, but i think it will never happens honestly..)

Bummer... I asked last page about fititng issue with the Single manifold for R32.. i was told it was better to fit a single stage P/S pump.. Well the problem is not the P/S, it's the A/C. If I go with a R33/R34 A/C pump, can i still use my r32 crank pulley and simply adjust the belt ( if needed) or i need to change everything.. maybe I should've of went with the Raw manifold that clear everything. -
Went with Type R ( 250, 9.15mm) with my 83/74 RB26.. how does yours drive ? boost response ? I'M thinking about selling back my bran dnew type-R and simply use the stock cam. A few thing unexpected broke on my car so I could save the money there and put it on something else..

mine is a r32, i believe they are different no ?

any one know all the part # for the oem ?

Can I still use my greddy profect just to monitor boost reading ? i like the fact the profec fit in the clock compartment and take zero place while a 52mm gauge will take useless space.
