My GTR make 425whp with 350 lbs of torque. I found a brand new ORC 559 with brand new flywheel for 1100$ or an OS giken TS2B used but it was been rebuilt with their A kit. This guy ask me 1300 $. Which one would last longer on the drag ? i.e takes more abuse. In terms of daily-driving or streetability ? In terms of noise ? Does the damper help to make less noise ? And lastly, does one cluch brand need more modification to fit than another ?

From what I can read, Os giken seems to be really good OVERALL but from what I can read the orc 559 *should* be more easy on stop and go ( daily-driven) but now, you are saying it's easier to slip. Man, I don't know, why there's so much brands and product offered hahahaha!! By the way, would ORC or OSGIKEN be quieter ? or pretty much the same.

I'm in the same situation as this member. I can get the ORC 559 brand new for 1100 $ or OS giken 400$ used ( so figure 600$ for new disk) and it's 1000$ for an almost brand new twin plate clutch. My car: BNR32 425WHP and 350 lbs of torque. I can get trap in traffic 2-3 times a week,( 30 minutes of stop and go!) so I need something that will be good enought for daily and good for 5k launch!

My local tuner just did a stock BNR32 ( well couples bolt-on) with this exhaust. 298 whp closed. 360whp open, on a dynopack. With my GTSS on my rb26, I just did 425whp with my RSR but when I put my silencer in my RSR I drop to 353whp !!! This a 75 whp drop haha. That why I would love to have a varex exhaust that I could close when driving in the city and open, without going outside the car, on the highway or any high speed road. What I'm wondering is if it's gonna sound *close* or as good as my JDM branded RS*R.. I hard a couple of sound clip from RB20 and RB25 but none on the RB26. I don't want it to sound like a cheap civic fart-can, you know, that raspy rattle sound lol -

Bumping the thread. I currently have a RS*R exmagt2 full exhaust. I like/love the sound of it but having the option to quiet it in 2 seconds while a cops pass by is a wonderful idea. Considering I keep my whole line andweld the new varex elec. valve, can I expect my BNR32 to sound the same when the vavle is fully open ? -

I would also like to know this! My muffler shop told me about magnaflow cat.. but that 175$ catco seems right too. Don't know which one flow better. -

I just came back from the dyno and my GTR did a nice 260 whp at 12 psi with GT-SS ( sarcasm ). My tuner said I NEED to change my cat, we found some piece of the cat on the ground it's really block. What are my option !? I don't want some cravy 600$ sard or nismo cat. I want to keep the oem look. So, I was thinking about buying a high-flow cat and weld the heat shield on it so I can keep that oem-look. What do you guys think?

Hey guys, I just bought a new set of tomei cam gears and I was told that I should also change the timing belt and then, since I'm there, should change everything near it. So, please let me know if I'm forgetting something. My GTR will never pull harder than 500whp IMO. Keep that in mind. Right now, I have 400whp. Pit-Work Timing Belt ( I was thinking greddy instead..) OEM Water Pump ( maybe N1 but I heard about calvitation at low rpm and traffic times) OEM Idler OEM Tensioner OEM Spring OEM Idler Bolt OEM Tensioner Stud Mishimoto Racing thermostat ( got it) Mishimoto radiator ( got it) Tomei cam gears (got it) Aux. belt ?? Somone also recommand me to change my harmonic damper for OEM or ATI ( what the heck this part do for my car?) Thanks a lot! -

Hey guys, I can get those Aerospeed cam gear for 100$ so I was wondering if it's worth to pay 300$ more for Greddy or HKS. What is the difference between Jdm brands and ''knock-off'' cam gear? Is cam gear something you can cheat and get cheaper parts ?

My mechanic is not sure where to tap the vacuum of my Boost controller because the closer lines to the turbo are in metal and he don't want to cut these. He said it's better to have them the closer you can from the turbos. Any thought?? 2 month ago, I bought a set of used R34 dump pipe because I was told they were the best upgrade over the R32 oem dump pipe and way cheaper than Tomei,hks or RS*R. I just bought a kit of HKS GT-SS and the seller gave me his OBX ebay-branded dump pipe. So, I thought I could post some pictures. - Inlet is ALMOST identical - the OBX pipe on the left is sligthly longer than the R34 - The one on the right has 2 inlet Vs. 1 from the R34. I heard the divided pipe help with turbulence. - Both fit the same on the hks gt-ss turbos The OBX sell for around 150$ on ebay while an used set of R34 can go for 150-200$ but seriously, I can't see how those ebay-branded can be AS BAD as most people say it on the sau forums.

I like something clean. Where can I buy the cute little box? One time I tried playing with electronic on my car. I end up stalling on the highway! You make it seems like it's a easy job to do. Well, I'm a car detailer, I bet what I think is super easy to buff, you would be scared to burn the paint. Each one has his weakness. 2) All the options mentionned here was MINIMUM 450$. I don't want to put THAT much money on a TSC that I will only use in the street. So, the unit at 150$ seems to be right for me. -

Well, I don't want to mess with electronic. I did a BEST OFFER on ebay and I won the extremeTSC for 170$ shipped. For a better 4wd traction and a 2wd-4wd switch it's O.K priced. -

Well, I'm a daily-driver seeking for better handling. A 2wd/4wd swith would be great for doing powerslide on a corner ( yeah, you know, when you want to give a ride to a friend lol..) and for drag purpose. I might be tempting to learn how to track my gtr. -
But it will make the damn thing really to close then! QR is 2.5 and this might be at least another 2 inch lol!
