Okay the problem in canada is that we can't swap an exhaust component that don't respect the OEM spec. 95% of the cars made are not STRAIGHT-PIPE ( or free-flow). There's so many sh*tvic out there with aftermarket racing exhaust that any police officer use a tape to measure how long his tape goes into the exhaust before hitting something. So, if his tape goes throught the whole cat-back, he will think i'm not legal because it's not normal to be straight-pipe. I KNOW the OEM BNR cat-back is straight-pipe but these morons can't understand this fact. this is why I want to swap it for a OEM. Sound/DB is also an issue but police officer don't have dm meter in their car to measure how loud is my GTR, so I don't care about sound because I know it's impossible to get a ticket for DB because they can't prove it.

I'm in canada, we don't have the same rules. DB levels isn't a problem here in Canada!

Hey guys, Due to stupid police, I'm swapping my cat-back for the original OEM GTR cat-back. I know I will be loosing some power and agressive sound with the OEM cat-back. What can I swap/upgrade to my setup to get back my lost power and sound? I'm thinking about getting a GLUTTED cat. Anything else? Thanks! My mechanician told me about an electric valve with a Y piping, when on the track could help my performance. what do you think? is it worth 300$ ?

Hey guys, I'm looking for something that is not straight-pipe because here, in Canada, policer officer give you ticket for free-flowing exhaust. Actually, I just need a muffler that you can't stick a tape inside it and go throught the whole muffler. All I could find is the APEXI PS-EVOLUTION. I need quick advice because I need to make a move before next week. Problem: My 2nd was grinding but after 5-10 minutes of driving( once my oil temp on my gauge was showing 140f) i had no problem with my 2nd gear. But I went to the drag( did 5 run) and next morning i took the car and I can't get into reverse but all my other gears are OK. So, I guess I need a new tranny right? My option? Used: Almost impossible to tell if the tranny is good or not. I have over 10 offer on used tranny but who know want it will break again hen? Rebuild or brand new: I heard they go for pretty much the same price anyways. around 2500-3000 + installation right? I called a jdm shop around my area and he told me he would swap my tranny for an used one for 1000$ and I pay him after testing the new used tranny + i get a 30 days guarentee. Does it seem legit/right? Also, he could install me a new clutch for labor-free.. In the future: I was planning to get my turbo upgrade( -5 or -7) + the usual little mods to get to 450hpish. Should I use an used OEM tranny or get something stronger? Please help me because I'm pretty confuse now..

Instead of using Resin and make sure there's no bubble etc etc. Could I just spray 2-3 layer of clear coat on my carbon fiber center console? Thanks!

Not much you can do then my friend. Only thing I found is taking the whole piede and sand it and repaint. Because if you use masking tape and just do this part, you take a chance that it won't be 100% match.

My bad. I wasn't clear. In my province, they don't ask for a toxic/emission test. So this it not an issue. The cop generally pull you over because you have a 3 inch tip or more, it's chromed, you have a tuned car, your young, you have a sexy girlfriend etc etc lol. Once they pull you over, 90% of the times, they will just insert a stick in your exhaust and if it goes deeper than 30 inch, it's a proof that you are STRAIGHT PIPE ( And in their mind Straight Pipe=ILLEGAL). So I would like something certified so I keep it in my car and show to the cops that a BNR32 came straight pipe OEM. Now, My exhaust is a RS*R ExMag GT2 ( which is the top dog of Rs*R) and found that there seems to be no catalyser under my GTR. Since a stock GTR came with a catalyser, I would still lost in court for having modified my exhaust and not keeping the OEM SPEC. But, my chances are the police officer won't know about the catalyser. Law #94 say: Changing the muffler or exhaust system that makes it noisier than the original OEM (1. cop don't have a Decibel meter with them and skyline didn't exist in Noth-america, so they can't give me that. But still, some assh*le do.. and now I have to prove that the OEM wasn't making more noise.) Law #91 say: Any repair or swap done to the exhaust,catalyser,pipe etc. can be done BUT has to maintain the same spec of the OEM.
