i think 7sec for a GTS-T is pretty slow. N/A supras can acheive better times than that. Alot of things can come into play worn tires is a possibility... but id be looking at other things have you had it dynoed? id give that a go and see what outputs you get...

a good way to test the clutch is to put it in 5th gear stationary...with Hand Brake ON... and see if it catches immediately as if it was in first gear if it does, then its in very good nick. ive had a worn clutch which was just turning on 5th on a TT supra. all power was lost...

thats about 137KW at the wheels thats around how much a STOCK GTS-T with 187kw at the motor would roughly run after the drive train... silly question....... but hows your clutch?.... is it in decent nick? beacuse a clutch plays a big part in dyno runs... a new clutch will have more friction to be accurate....

yes possibly....its hard to say as you mentioned 40,000km as "genuine"... you dont know that either... sometimes its impossible to tell. Most imports do get the odometers clocked back a bit... the GT-R R34 is no exception. but if its in good nick... i cant see why it wouldnt be

true that 2002 is actually on big demand... because there is a BIG difference in pricing between the 1999 or 2000 model GT-R V-spec or non v-specs to the 2002', even though its only a year or two apart

where did you purchase this car, private or dealer? it could be a no# of things, you sure this mate of yours is a mechanic and gave you a half arsed response like that? so far from what your telling me...it could be: Fuel pumps could be faulty and not supply enough fuel... the Ingnition systm could make the car sluggish if at fault. Check your ignition leads and plugs whilst your there and let us know

a good way to see if there is excess vibrations in a pulley..... is to get a long rod say 10mm or so in Dia... rest it on the actual bolt where it pivots... then putting your ear at the end of the rod. if the bearings are ok, it should be a low ...kind of a mild hissing sound... then you could even say pull the throttle yourself and listen. and beleive me, you will notice if its faultly.... whilst comparing it to the other ones. cheers

well you'd hope its not a bearing.... im thinking it could be one of the pulleys? sometimes even when the tension on the belts are correct... the bearing on the pulleys can be worn... especially on an old car like yours. id inspect all pulleys...waterpump, power steering, Crankshaft Drive pulley & air condition first and go from there

what sort of skyline is it? It is said that the Stock RB25 plenum can handle approx 350RWKW/500Rwhp Few here have installed an Rb26 plenum rather than the FF Plenum.
