exactly depends on which one your talking about... but if its the performance acheiver Aristo TT the Aristo TT runs a 2JZ-GTE with VVT-i and to many tuners over the world....... its actually a more efficient....more bullet proof and much more capable for power motor than the RB26DETT. id definately put my money for a STOCK aristo vs R33 GTS-T anyday but with all those mods man......... no way in the world the stock R33 will even smell it dude

if theres water in your engine............ then thats the first sign ..and the culprit to many issues that can derive from that. you think about it....at the bottom of the sump the Oil pick up /strainer will suck oil via the pump... pump it through and under the cylinders...... the piston rings restrain most of the oil getting into the combustion......(but older engines with worn piston rings can let oil in..thats why you see the black smoke) water is so much more fine than engine oil.....it will make it past the piston rings for sure... hence causing pinging/knocking etc. at this point.....its hard to say....especially not being able to see the car... but i feel that you haven't bent anything or f**ked any bearings yet........ because you haven't run it with water in the engine for extensive periods of time... or have you? cause from what you explained......you didn't say whether you drove it after or not.. if you did...then there is a possibility piston rings would be the first to go as well as other things... so like i said, get engine flush....put it in...run it for a min........drain the oil put new oil and check your spark plugs one more time. this way you eliminate another possible culprit...... its all about diagnostics.....

Will Rb26 Rocker Covers Fit An Rb25 Head?
eeiko321 replied to ...Joshwa's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
the brackets i imagine are different...so hence.....the rocker cover etc needs to be modified.... im pretty sure the inlet pipe that runs along the top of the RB25DET will be an issue.... as the RB26DETT does not have the plenum chamber set + inlet set out that way so hence...modification is necessary. thats funny....i just typed it in google...and HEAPS showed up.. as i said, this is something that many peopel have tried or want to do -
ok sorry i read through your posts seems like youve tried a few things id say definately change the engine oil... you might want to buy an additive from supercheap or something called "Engine Flush" add in it.....run it a few mins and out it goes..... id double check the plugs dude after...... and if it is black......like i said.....put them on the stove and make them glow..
-
sorry if this has been covered in recent posts....i just havent read up... ok this is what ill do IF....there is water in the engine..... 1.) remove all spark plugs from the head 2.) dont forget to which ingnition lead goes to what plug.,..if in doubt...mark them 3.) if the plugs are fouled, you can either replace them...or if they are good plugs, you can actually heat them on the stove to make it red hot...to get rid of the carbon. (then give it a clean with some steel wool...then it be good as new) 4.) crank the engine to push all water out of the cylinders...id crank it say...10 sec..give it half a minute then crank it 10 sec again.... then repeating it one more time. (this is just a simple measure that your not gonna f**k up your Start motor...cause its not designed for continuous usage like this..it will burn out) 5.) Open your air box, if you have a concealed one... make sure it is dry from water. if it still is waterlogged.....remove all water. im sure if your car pinged and stalled....it got in through her 6.) if it still does it........id change the oil....it may have gotten in there and will always disrupt the function of the combustion.

Will Rb26 Rocker Covers Fit An Rb25 Head?
eeiko321 replied to ...Joshwa's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
im pretty sure its not a direct change over....., cause a few things wont line up & the plenum chamber might affect it. anythings possible if you got the time and money.......you'd have to customise one of few things to suit. if you look into the search....i think many people have attempted this -
how many inches of water was there?

eeiko321 replied to Gaelen's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well i made an attempt to help nice to see your gratitude.....lol nah well the xenon ones may be harder to find in general... your probably better off and a cheaper alternative.....buy R34 standard Headlights and install an aftermarket HID kit to it...... id say it would work out few hundred cheaper at least -
well the way i look at it.....ur wrong the Miata IS, the MX5 with a different name and in japan apparently its called "Roadster"..its only called mx5 in aust just like the Toyota Yaris.........its still called "Echo" in some countries... and "Vitz" in various others...... and in north america its called "Belta" and asian countries "Vios"

like everybody else here ive got, "Japanese Import sports car" flowing through my viens! & pretty much f**k the rest attitude...... but even in saying that...... if i ever do live in the USA......i would have to get my hands on one of these............or AT LEAST experience to drive one.... theyre beutiful!

R34 Xenon Headlight Numbers
eeiko321 replied to Gaelen's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
thats because apparently all 4 variants fit the same lights the GTR lights are different but can interchange with the GT-T etc as in the same dimensions etc. thats probably good enough for him..........if hes got a conversion then all he needs is one that fits -
And where is Hicksville even? well Not long ago i was in a suburb called Arakoon.. its 80Km from Port macquarie..... thats somewhere id move to when i retire for sure...

i can agree with you on that one..... b ut it depends on how you look at it. of course....we have it better than most but you gotta admit...unfortunately, no matter how good it is here....its just gonna get WORSE.... we got GST now... and we nearly lost Medicare had Good ol' Johnny didn't get booted out. People complain about the drought, and hammer people with fines with usage restrictions...but of course there is going to be a drought...its the same Dam we have been using for the past 40 years....and population has exploded outa proportion since then. at the moment at least we got FREE Medicare and other social services like the DOLE, Unemployment benefits etc... where the WHOLE world doesn't. don't worry about USA dude....its a hole in every aspect. but before we look down to them....... Most areas, the traffic is actually alot better than Sydney they got freeways, ON TOP of freeways...... and some of them have 10 lanes on each direction. they make the best of their land with roads.....unlike our government. look at Parramatta Road.... or M5....or the newish M7.... like how the flaming f&%$# can you even use it on peak hour traffic week days.....? i have to constantly avoid those roads when i travel every day. as for japan, the good thing compared to Sydney is the crime rate is alot lower. and pretty much hardly any graffiti there compared to the likes of Mt.Druitt.............. and their public transport is renowned to be very very efficient.....in comparison.. look at City Rail Aust..... they're always in strife & on the big story of the newspapers. at the end of the day..... people comparing Melbourne to Sydney.... i personally think Melbourne is actually better.... its much more of a "newer" city than sydney... the population is a fair bit less... people are actually a bit more cheery...

Nissan R34 Gtr Vs Nissan 370z
eeiko321 replied to Turbo Piston's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
geezus dude............................. heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy we got a rare winner here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive actually seen one of these...with a custom Purple sort of paint.....filling up at a shell station...the one on Roberts Rd under the bridge at Greenacre/Chullora and it sounded like it was running a loud ass V8... -
1.) Spotted Midnight purple R34 GT-R heading Northbound North parramatta Thursday 12/3/09 around 4:00pm 2.) spotted Black R34 GT-R, with carbon fibre bonnet no# plate "BEAST" or "BEA5T" with aftermarket wheels... driver was an old aussie guy in his 50's.

Nissan R34 Gtr Vs Nissan 370z
eeiko321 replied to Turbo Piston's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
here is a side view in comparison to the 350z.......it looks alot better......alot fatter......more supercar-ish yes i know you prefer the GT-R...as well as every tom dick and harry + dog.... like i just said.....it would be INTERESTING to know who would prefer the 370Z? so put you hand up so we can have a good look! infact i think it looks alot better than 350z i wouldnt be calling things ugly...... its new....no one is used to its looks.... i recall people saying when the EVO 7 came out....every hated it calling it "ugly shit" cause everyone was used to the way EVO6 looked. and a few years down the track.......till this day.....the EVO 8 & 9 (which is the same chasis and body) is pretty much one of the most best looking cars on the market in aust. -
your probably better off buying aftermarket camshafts to suit.... a common Rb25DET camshaft is the TOMEI due to its price.......i recall seeing them for around $600 - $700

Nissan R34 Gtr Vs Nissan 370z
eeiko321 replied to Turbo Piston's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Lastly what i wanted to add... im guessing alot of people actually look down on the Z... cause they think its non-turbo and "too slow" how do you even know its too slow?!....have you ever ridden in one?! ive guessed that you've probably read the CLAIMED...specs on the 0 - 100km? or 400m? i personally beleive......dont beleive everything you read....when it comes to vehicle times... because if you put 2 and 2 together.... R34 GT-R (stock) 206 KW at 6800rpm 392 Nm at 4400rpm 370Z (stock) 248 kW at 7000 rpm 370 Nm at 5200 rpm <---- thats really good for non-turbo you know..... and plus there is a weight difference R34 GT-R (base) 1,540 Kg 370Z (base) 1,466 kg it might even be a good race you know...... -

geeez reading it all.................dude........are u OK?!?!? this is a skyline forum of course people will chose the the GT-R. so ITS getting pretty boringgggggggggggggggggggggg........getting tired of seeing "GTR R34 for me"..."blah blah heres a picture of the R34 GTR...enough ssaid blah blah................" which is silly cause who doesnt know what the GTR R34 Looks like....its been around for the past decade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what people should be showing is more pics of the 370z......cause its new and not everyone seen the ins and outs on it..... shouldve rephrased the question in this thread? So...WHO ACTUALLY PREFERS THE 370Z?!?!?!?!?!
