exactly, i support this new law if it comes out. sorry guys to sound like a Geek. but Driver education isn't going to help "Stupidity" and that can ONLY be helped with TOUGHER laws and more strict punishment. P-plate power restrictions i believe have helped a fair bit i beleive. but its the mentality of the people in such low social areas. like there would be more hoons in AUBURN, BANKSTOWN or Blacktown than people in Vaucluse, Pt Piper or Chatswood due to the class of people. more Punishment........so this rule of impouding speeding will teach many kids a lesson. a good point to back my point is... on this same story for the Bondi Girls death. police had indicated a few more irresponsible people. e.g a GIRL at the age of 23 a repeat offender has had her licence suspended to 2025!!! but was caught driving again. and the editor commented "when will they ever learn?" so everyone here mentioning MORE DRIVER EDUCATION.......you think that will fix stupidity like this?!?!?! well i say theres nothing a jail term cant fix.... so this Haj guy with the Integra should have his liscence suspended for a long time.. & a hefty fine...then he will have that time to think about what he done. -

hmmm wouldnt the flared out rear quater panel affect it? because ive found out the R34 GT-T headlights are slightly different to the GT-R headlights.... different OEM no# & different pricing. but the front can be changed over to suit.... and apparently the colouring of the inside of the Housing is slightly different tint on the GT-R compared to the GT-T im guessing this is the same for the rears?!

well this is what its said about it "HICAS (High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension) is Nissan's rear wheel steering system found on cars ranging from the more recent Skyline and Fairlady Z (300ZX) iterations to smaller models like the Nissan Cefiro (A31), 240SX/Silvia (S13 & S15)/180SX and Nissan Serena/Nissan Largo. It is also found on models from Nissan's Infiniti division, such as the Q45 and the M45/M35. Unlike other four wheel steering systems, HICAS and Super HICAS are fitted to improve handling rather than as a parking aid. Earlier HICAS versions used hydraulics to steer the rear wheels. The hydraulic system was powered by the power steering pump and used speed sensors to determine how much and in which direction to steer the rear wheels. Later versions, called Super HICAS, moved to an electric actuator for the rear steering rack, making the system much lighter. The Super HICAS system also used its own computer to control the system instead of speed sensors. HICAS and Super HICAS rear wheel steering is limited to about 1 degree in either direction. HICAS was introduced on the 1986 Skyline GTS coupes (GTS, GTS-R, and GTS-X). Draining Power Steering Fluid?

so im guessing you looked into the resevoir and it was dirty and foul? well there isnt any way to drain it from the resevoir.... it would be to either pull the bottle out and then just tip it out........by undoing the hoses... or i generally use a syringe with a tube on the end of it and suck everything out... there should also be a drain screw in the powersteering coloumn...which is just a bolt that can drain it out of the system. ill keep you posted...as ill look through the Rb26dett workshop manual...(mine isnt complete though) keep in mind...when dealerships drain powersteering oil...they generally get lazy.....they may not drain it from the steering coloumn....they just get a vaccume hose...suck it out of the resevoir..and top it up..... that way it looks like they done it anyhow. -

i know alot of people say its the injectors.....which it could be...but bare in mind...your telling us that it has been more apparent in loudness since you purchased it. well Alot of Nissans if you notice are quite clicky due to the injectors......especially from the 88 - 90s era. but bare in mind, that the clicking can increase in both the Injectors and the Lifters/Tapets... because the tapets are set according to the Camshafts when they turn, hence....opening the valves inlet and outlet ports in the head. the best thing to do......can you post a video of it? here is a link for a bit more of understanding for the Tappets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tappet to be honest if it is the Fuel injectors....or even if not....a proper full off tank injector clean, (disconnecting the fuel tank and running the motor direct to carby cleaner, this could be done at any dealsership) you will notice a more louder clicking due to it being more free flowing.

thats pretty odd..... i dont know why manufactures dont put them on alot of cars these days.....even Merc & BMWS...alot of the fords and holdens dont either and if yuo notice...the S15 200sx AUS full import has no wiper.....but the JDM Silvia S15 has..... im assuming that the japanese climate is different as it snows there etc. but still...i think all cars should have them.... well as the other guy said....get some info of the car.... worse comes to worse it could be a custom job.....or maybe a repair from a crash? but anyways hopefully its nothing major..... if you really want one...id say go to a wrecker find a R33 and get one installed DIY with the wiring diagram. but im not sure if R33 GTS-T have the exact same one.

i think it had something like that in the worskhop manual of the R34 GT-T and there is a thread somewhere on this forum of how to remove the centre console...

ok... if they dont have Hydraulic lifters.,...then thats a bonus..... cause if the hydrualic lifters are f**ked.......youll have to replace them.... but if they dont then they should have Tappets.......you can adjust them according to the workshop manual for the tappet clearance. well as you said....if its coming from the head.....then thats most likely what it is....... just take it back to the dealer then but if i were you, id get the RB26 workshop suppliment......and try it out for myself so i know and have the experience in the future.... its important to get Cylinder NO #1 "rocking" as in when you get a torque wrench.......turn the engine crakshaft bolt...... take the head rocker cover off......... keep turning the bolt till the 1st cylinders closest to the Engine Fan moves.....then move it anti clockwise a little and it should lift when you turn clock wise and anti clock wise.... then get a feeler guage to see the clearance. but anyways.........see how you go anyways

lets put it this way. whether it really is 7:29sec or not. i give it much credit and respect..... as i told you before, those cars stated that are the 17 quicker cars.... NONE are japanese...NONE are under 200,000$ you know... nissan being the only car in the jap car market that has stepped up and tackled the big guns in motor industry. of course those manufactures are upset & would cause a conspiracy! put it this way....if i was porsche.....i would too... anyhow.....the best thing for us now......is wait till the new one comes out.... supposedly a V-spec Model or possibly named SPEC-V this time. its supposedly 100kg lighter with more power. lets see the times on that and hopefully the same guy drives it......... as i said, the engineers at nissan said this car would definately be more swifter at the old NUR... then........that would put things into perspective. and if it is faster......porsche can go f**k THEMSELVES........

tapping? when does it do it? well most likely in a car engine......it could be the Hydrualic lifters in in the head block near the cams. they can be faulty...... have a listen at the top of the head where the spark plugs go..... if it comes out of there......then id say thats it.... let us know how u go

Bugatti Veyron, Caparo T1, Ultima GT-R, SSC Ultima AERO TT, Saleen S7 TT, Ascari A10, Ariel Atom, Caterham R500, Gumpert Apollo, Ford RS200, Caterham CSR 260, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Chev Corvette C6 ZR1, Mosler MT900 Photon, Ferrari ENZO, Mclaren F1, Koenigsegg CCX....then Nissan R35 GTR dude........ For f^%#$ sake.......cant u see the Nissan is just a touch behind Ferrari ENZO?!... Koenigsegg CCX does 3.2sec = 0 - 100km/h, the Mclaren F1 & the GTR does 3.2sec ALSO!!!! however those 3 cars tie in....but the ENZo does it in 3.14sec..............what more can you expect from the NISSAN?! seriously dude.......its a bloody NISSAN................. it f%$# so many super cars on the list.... and since you realise the ZR1 is in there......but in US....the ZR1 is actually 80,000$ more than the GT-R

yes your right the R32 GT-R did 8:22sec driven by Motoharu Kurosawa the R33 GT-R did 8:01sec driven by Dirk Schoysmans but the R34 was not officially tested i dont think. who knows.....porsche is just a windger. theres video proven that it did it in 7:29sec.

well im not certain about that. i think your wrong Prince released the "Skyline" but never released the "GT-R" until it got sold out to Datsun. here is what is said, i dont recall them beating porsches.. any how... im nearly certain that it is said by editors that Nissan had its eye on the porsches prformance during the release of the R34 GT-R NUR spec. but the NUR spec was slower than the 911 turbo. but this day they had triumphed with the r35.... so i think ur incorrect about nissan beating porsches for donkeys years...............

well i think its a conspiracy that porsche accused Nissan. ever since the R35 GT-R has hit the tarmacs, porsche has just windged. in my perspective, why wouldnt they?... Nissan generally manufacturing passanger vehicles for the middle class, like TIIDA & Pulsar... and porsche had been making expensive/exotic or high end sports cars for nearly 80 years. then one day BANG, nissan throws a curved ball...with the new R35 GT-R into the ring, beating all the top guns in european exotics, on both nurburgring and acceration times. this car being heavier than thier 911 turbo, but more swift...they are really baffled. if you were porsche, wouldnt you be upset?! anyhow porsche started this conspiracy agsint the GT-R...and saying that they cheated. for them being nosey, porsche motors had purchased thier own R35 GT-R and took it around the NUR... they recon they couldnt get the times of 7:29mins. their test car tested at 7:54mins. well here are 2 intresting articles/links of nissan Defending the GT-R lap times against porsche's accusation. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/03/nissan-...gt-r-ring-time/ http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/09/nissan-...-hurt-yourself/ at the end of the day as i said.... porsche is just being a sore loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and plus, wait till the R35 GT-R Spec V or V-spec comes out being around 100kg lighter with plenty more power......... the engineers say that it would improve track time even more, if thats the case, watch porsche cry about something else.

updating this thread especially for insolent people like "chang" infact the GT-R headlights for R34 are different to the GT-T the part no# not the code no#s are different within all skyline R34 and GT-Rs slight different colour in reflector and housing... apparently the V-spec II headlights are once again different to the original GT-R they can interchange and be used as they can fit. but the price different for the slightly different GT-R headlights are twice as much $$$. unfortunately this is very dissapointing to a few GT-T owners...(chang)
