Non-turbo Supra To 32gts-t
eeiko321 replied to supralicious's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
nope, to me the GTR is a totally different car! different: Turbos, Intercooler, engine, gearbox, drivetrain, interior, exterior, wheels & most of all... DIFFERENT performance!!! i hate it when people imitate the GTR with their GTS-t by sticking on fake badges & putting GTR exterior parts. its just like a tacky lancer with fake evo products.... is the standard lancer anything like the EVO? NO! the only thing thats lancer about the evo is just the name "Lancer" same goes for fake clubsports....fake BMW M3s.... I'm just really glad this day that Nissan decided to split the name "Skyline" from GT-R...and made Skylines into the Infinity, V & G series 35s....... and the GT-R just "Nissan GT-R" or "Nissan R35 GT-R". apparently Nissan decided to change the name due to the GTR is not sharing the same Chassis as the V & G series. (thank god for that!!! ) anyhow thats just my personal opinion....theres no wrong or right on personal preferance..... -
Non-turbo Supra To 32gts-t

yo to be honest, i dont hate R33....... i just dont like R32 GTS or R33/R32 GTS-T or R33 GTS25-t or even R34 GT-T to me they feel cheap. but thats just my opinion. i probbaly upset people by saying that, but to me...i just feel GT-R is a totally different car than GTS-T/GT-T i love GT-Rs with a complete PASSION! all the way from R32 - R35 to me....GT-R is gods GIFT to man........... -
Non-turbo Supra To 32gts-t

hi there i know how you feel. i once owned a SZ-R non-turbo supra 1996' it was a factory special model with the TT 6-speed Getrag gearbox & the Automatic aerodynamic spoiler lip that dropped down when the car hit 80km/h it was OK at first, i got it when the first Fast and furious movie came out...that was the movie that made the car famous...everyone loved the car... but the fun ended when WRX, 200sxs, 180sxs & v8s put me to shame....then i got depressed with it & felt ashamed of a "non-turbo". the problem with the car is that its too heavy for the power output & torque. then one day i lined up with a porche boxter, which I'm pretty sure back then was non-turbo 6cyl. it f**king beat me............. that was the LAST straw!!!!!!!!!! i got rid of it. then i purchased a 1997' RZ TT supra. i immediately, cranked the boost, changed the Filter, exhaust and intercooler....replaced ECU. the car ran like a dream! i got revenge on all the WRXs, 200sxs, 180sxs & v8s that once put me to shame! but the fun ended there when a guy in a Hiace T-boned me at an intersection. at least i got paid out by his insurance, i bought a house.........ten saved over the years..so now I'm gonna buy an R34 GT-R V-spec II when i find the right one. anyways...my advice, don't bother with R32 GTS-T......a R33 GTS-T is the best bang for your bucks...... but make sure you put the priority of a TT supra before the R33 GTS-T. u will not be disappointed in TT supra....to many its a better car than the GTR.......but then thats all speculation... if you cant afford the TT supra yet.........then WAIT!................save up till you do .....rather than buying something that isn't the best and regretting it later. -

Does Anyone Own A Trailer? Need Answers
eeiko321 replied to eeiko321's topic in General Automotive Discussion
cheers for that yeah i had a look, its a bit pricey though i was hopeing for something around the 150 - 300$ mark. an El-Cheapo box trailer, not a tandem. just to clamp it and chain it to the tree at the front nature strip. to stop other people park in front of my house. these young idiots who park there always throw loads of rubbish that i find the next day on the nature strip lawn. this would be the best way. -

Video: Chinese Built Chery Failing A Crash Test
eeiko321 replied to TheTunersGroup's topic in General Automotive Discussion
that shouldnt be called a "Chery".... should be called a "Lemon" instead........ -
yes it should be drivable. like we said, do some DIY before you go to your mechanic. thats how people get ripped off that way. say he tightens the belts, hes gonna charge you for service fee and his time.....1.5 hours or whatever. look i would say do this; 1.) Use your finger and push down in the middle of the belts and push down and up... see how much movement is in it. (should be .5 of an inch) 2.) if it is lose, tighten it...if you car has a tensioner bolt. Check the belts with a torch, see if there is cracks. 3.) if it is tight to start with & is in good condition. do what i said with that screw driver, listen to each pulley and find the source of the problem. 4.) if one of the pulleys is noisy, you may want to get that replaced in the near future, spray some WD40 in the gap of the pulley pivot. 5.) there is a special can of "belt spray" if you go to super-cheap, repco or autobahn. it apparently should minimise noise in belts. but personally i believe in replacing faulty parts, when things like that rattle or squeal, its a first sign of required attention rather than bodging things up with that spray. try that and keep us posted.

ok regardless what car it is... its most likely either the belts for the power steering, altenator, water pump, air condition or watever. i think the reason everyone is asking is that some cars have just 1 belt to drive them all....and some have seperate 1 for each. try tightening it, each belt should have about 1/2" play/slack in movement after tightening. and if that doesnt do it...it could be the pulleys for each of the mentioned above...the ball bearings may be worn. a good way to test that, is get a long screw driver, a flat one preferably... put it on the big nut that holds the pulley to the motor...then put your ear on the end of the knob on the screw driver and you will hear excessive vibration on the faulty one. a good pulley will have a very smooth, feint grinding sound... perhaps try it when u start ur car on cold...especially

R34 Gt-r Genuine Key, Questions...
eeiko321 replied to eeiko321's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
thats a good question... ur guess is as good as mine. but my beleif is that, no matter how good your car is secured. there may still be ways to hack into it. even cars with satelite tracking. im sure there is still ways. im thinking maybe security code pads like the one they have in late model WRXs are a good security option. -
u know, somepeple like to buy things in shambles and work on things themselves...somepeople find it a hobby to work on their cars. but if your hoping to buy a cheap as chips car thats broken and fix it.,..then drive it hoping nothing is going to go wrong. then this car msy noy be for you. check out trading post, theres some dirt cheap supras. look, buying an import or any second hand car, theres always a risk. unless the car is brand new.

R34 Gt-r Genuine Key, Questions...
eeiko321 replied to eeiko321's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
so in other words id the ecu is aftermarket, you don't need a key with the transponder. and the stock ecu from the factory has set it with the ecu. well in that case, doesn't that make the factory ecu and the genuine transponder key more safe from theft? -
yeah i wouldn't bother with it supra TT are getting real cheap these days damaged cars, theres no telling if the chassis is twisted etc. don't get yourself into headaches.
-
hi guys Just doing a bit of research on the 'Genuine' Nissan part. the GTR key, obviously is uncut when purchase but also does not include the "transponder" can anyone tell me more about it? most cars have a "lock" and "unlock" button on it. but on this genuine key, i don't see any buttons. whats this transponder do? thanks guys

thats a nice car in your display dude! one of a kind

Year Model Differences In R34 Gt-rs
eeiko321 replied to eeiko321's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yea well usually dodgy re-sprays for any cars...its sprayed up to the engine bay...obviously not having to remove the motor... but if a proper respay is done on any car, the engine and gearbox is pulled out, costing big bucks. -
