  1. Esp. read the SK wastegate sizing thread. It will tell you what size wastegate you need, and 38mm would be overkill IMO.
  2. Same here, only mine is std intake.
  3. Drill and tap into the alloy pipe approx. 50-100mm before the throttle body. My instructions say as close as possible to the TB, but I put it back to 75mm to allow a bit better swirl mix before it goes to the cylinders. Works for a Gtst anyway.
  4. Put a [insert brand here] sticker on your door.....much cheaper!!! If you go a bigger aftermarket turbo and manifold then you can - and will likely need to - do it.
  5. SII???
  6. For the bragging rights!!!
  7. Country NSW, so all post. Are your mats and boot trim in very good to excellent condition? If so very interested.
  8. Do you have any interior or boot parts?
  9. Still looking?
  10. I've got a set, but they are for a SII R33, no igniter box, all working, $100 the set. PM me.
  11. I want the partition that goes in front of the battery, the grey carpet aircell/honeycomb backed bit thats about 1.5m by 0.7m [i'll get measurements tomorrow]. I also want R33 floor mats. Need both in very good to excellent condition Willing to pay for the right bits.
  12. Is there any chance of taking Simpletools answer and making it a tutorial or some such - so we have it for future ref???
  13. And you can get a good one that runs on two D size torch batteries, so only 3 volt supply, we have one and it kicks hard. Just set it up and turn it on from the boot or something. Actually I have a Braille battery isolator in the boot, this thing has a remote control, so point and press for on/off. So you could use something like that for the electric fence unit. Mount in boot, run wires to front of car and attach to steering wheel/door handle/seat/gear knob etc, in boot hook power to unit through Braille isolator to battery, use remote to turn off and on.........uumm very doable. Need a 12v unit though, but a lot of them are, usually see them with a car battery hooked up and a solar panel out in the paddock somewhere.
  14. Why bother??? a few months is OK.
  15. I had a CD thermo fan on a hilux with a supercharged v6 commodore motor, it worked really well. I made up my own shroud and mounted the fan on it, but found that complete cover and no cover was not as good as a half cover, don't know why, but the temps liked it better, especially on long uphills in low range 4wd where the motor was revving and pulling at low speeds for a while. I thought they worked fine as long as you set them up right.
  16. So your just teaching them the bible.....you're a teacher!!!!
  17. I like the cowboy approach................they used to hang horse thieves!!! Today we say their mother didn't love them, its all our fault and we should feel sorry........where does that get us???
  18. You've fixed the problem, there is no rush, you can afford to wait and get JJR ones if you want - all much of a muchness. Some people use standard coils for big power numbers, so performance isn't an issue, a/m coil packs are newer, not faster. I've got Splitfires, but got them before super spark and JJR came on the market/started advertising.
  19. True, reckon I'll give it a go first, but then if I tune for this mix, I might have to use it all the time as opposed to a self made water/meth mix, not sure??? I'm not sure what is in the Snow Performance mixture, water and methanol for sure, but possibly other stuff as well [it is red, so dye]??? It is likely a good mix, and won't do anything different though. BTW the control unit for the Stage 3 system fits into the ash tray recess, I had to make up a face plate [would have liked some CF, but alloy powdercoated flat black is OK] and a bit of fiddling but looks neat now.
  20. So that would be watered already? If so your paying $72 per gallon??? And thanks lachlan, but 200 litres is a bit much for what I want right now. I'll do some more searching this week and see what I can find.
  21. Thats a fair price diff
  22. Just wondering who supplies? I can get 20 litres for around $95-100 from Repco - they are only using Rocket Industries, but hazardous material cartage etc, so maybe not so bad. I'm country so it could still be be the best option, but 20 litres will last a while [for me it would probably be years]. Probably would have liked to buy 5 litres first and see how much I use, sort of assess my needs.
  23. Dyslexia, and fat fingers, I did 342 and it should have been 324...............bugger. Then all my figures have to be lowered, you'll only make say 255 to 270 with more boost.
  24. Yeah its OK, but with more boost [say 16-18psi] it will probably get to 275-285rwkw, but that will be it. And on a hot day you could start to get knock unless you have lowered compression or WMI. And probably won't get there without a heavier wastegate spring than 7psi. BTW you won't need 740cc injectors with that set up, 550's would be fine - of cause that depends on price and availability. Its a good combo, but every time you do something you have the butterfly effect and then the moths come out of the wallet as well..........lol
