  1. Best option = 98 octane. 1520nM???
  2. I'd actually like to see a Toyota Chaser, with a 2jz I reckon they'd be a top tourer.
  3. I've got two of them, but you'll have to pick them up on the way home cos I'm near Gundagai.
  4. So what happened?? Your [if he was rich You'd be in a GTR] uncle die and leave you his stamp collection? or did your gf get preggie and you've spent the baby bonus? Glad to see your back, come to the dyno day?? And I can't help, sorry, I've got a blitz fmic, and you don't wanna buy one of them.
  5. Or a restriction like old gasket in the exhaust? Try putting your old exhaust inc. cat back on and see if it fixes it?
  6. Ed at Integra 9/10 Spot on tune, 240 rwkw Ed at Integra 5/10 Messed up and added 5 degrees to my cam wheel [should have been zero] after installing tomei cams 225rwkw UAS 5/10 Charged too much, I felt dirty and used, and I've got knock levels of 120+, I don't want to go back to them though, so will get it fixed by Ed probably
  7. Forget the BOV, waste of $$$$$, just buy the turbo first.
  8. I used the formula for getting my wg size and it was 40mm, tial had one listed, but I couldn't find a business that would supply one. Couldn't find another company that made one that size. I eventually found a second hand HKS 40mm with a creased diaphragm for $200 and then fixed it up [anodised, high temp coated and new diaphragm etc], seems to work well. I settled on an 18psi spring, but I've got a 14 as well and might try it one day. You'll have to use the formula and see what size, then decide what boost you want it to work at and the spring rate etc. Its the only way to get it right.

  10. I could be bringing an NA Supra along as well - have to wait and see if he's up for it. Pencil it in but keep the rubber handy.
  11. Adam, thanks for trying........... I thought of the air con, but pretty sure the sound is in the boot, I'll take my pump out on the weekend and see if it is OK, but its an almost new Nismo, and the Sard is also new but I've never had one fitted before and was wondering if they have this effect?
  12. Turbo beanie and screamer pipe sold. PM's replied to.
  13. Nah, dry cell doesn't release acidic fumes into your boot is all. The rest depends on what battery and what specs you get.
  14. I'm driving along the highway 80-120km/h and every say 90 seconds I here a cchh sound, like the fuel tank is vapourising [but my carbon canister is under the bonnet, not in the boot], or my fuel pump is making a weird sound, I can't quite trace it. It wasn't a particularly hot day either. If I'm in town and moving through traffic etc I don't hear it. Nismo pump [nengun] approx. 3-4 months old, so wouldn't think it would be the problem,but......... Sard fpr, is it returning fuel to the tank? I am not sure if the car is hesitating or not, I can't really feel it, sometimes you think you do, then other times you think its all in your head! Now I seem to remember someone else having this sound, but what would I search on? cchh? Any thoughts???
  15. ebay USA has them for around $100 from memory. BTW the cold air box is really only needed in stop/start traffic or drags. If your travelling down the highway or doing circuit work I'd say the air flow would be sufficient to remove any hot air build up.
  16. I prefer coppercote, but whatever works. I'd anneal the copper gasket before installing it as well, if you do that it will form to the top and base surfaces much better.
  17. I have a Nismo one, it still clunks around corners etc but it hooks up real good.
  18. does the gasket blow out [a bit goes missing] or just stop sealing? And do yu use a sealant or install dry?
  19. Also get your fpr checked, it could be the cause of the lean out problem [should still rewire your pump ^^^as well].
  20. You can tell if your car does it from the sound, but also from the orange dash light flashing on and off. If you have a pfc, then you can set the hand control screen to show pinging as well - peak hold and present reading. Its sometimes also called knock and pinking.
  21. Still 9th March, ESP??? where are they, maybe a whereis map would be a good idea [i'm not Can Quean]. I'm still on for Saturday arvo.
  22. I'm guessing that that is Victoria Park Melbourne???
  23. Is your boost contrller on the power fc turned off?
  24. Its not that hard, a dremel with cut off wheel, a good soldering iron, end or cable cutters and a swage tool [optional cos the end won't go anywhere once you install it. I haven't done a nissan one [no need yet], but I've done a couple of holden ones, bike clutch and accelerator cables and as long as you splay the end before you solder, there is no problem. If you can't do it, lots of bike shops can as well as tuning shops.
