  1. Capital 'L',<<<<<<<< you can't be serious!!!!
  2. helmet Check this out:http://www.esford.com/armoury%20helmets.htm
  3. I have a GT3076 external wastegate, HKS cast low mount [extrude honed], and a HKS 40mm std wastegate, they all bolt up fine. I'm still fitting it atm. The turbo, manifold and wg are all on the car. I presume you are talking about a RB25?
  4. Z32's have 4 wires [counting the earth] and orange stickers, well mine does anyway.
  5. Boost has nothing to do with oil pressure. Revs can change pressure. Your oil pump is mechanically driven, it is linked to the motor. So the more the motor revs, the more your oil pump spins, the greater the pressure. This is counterbalanced by the volume your pump can physically supply. It gets to a certain rev limit and no matter how hard it spins or increases revs, it physically cannot pump any more oil, it has reached its maximum flow rate. The maximum flow rate is also affected by the type of oil, the gallery and journal/bearing size, and the scavenge supply [if you flood the head and starve the bottom end supply].
  6. keep at it with the welding trick, works well. A stick welder will get into the nut recess better if you can borrow one. I'd be bl00dy careful using a breaker bar around cast manifolds, your liable to fracture the manifold. Cast iron can be a brittle item.
  7. What I meant was that when your oil is cold, it is thick, it takes a lot more effort to push it through the journals and oilways, and until the oil warms up the pressure reading is higher up to 7kg/cm2 [this also depends on the type of oil and its viscosity rating]. Once the oil warms up, it thins out to its specified viscosity and your oil pressure gauge starts reading 3.5-4.0kg. inversely on a stinking hot day your oil pressure can drop to 3.0-3.5 especially if your oil is old or needs changing.
  8. Effect is greater in the winter - oil is colder, thicker and takes longer to warm up.
  9. Can you categorically unequivocally state that you seated the dipstick all the way home prior to this???
  10. I thought hydraulic lifters pump up to the correct clearance, but someone else will know for sure..........[i'm really just trying to refresh the thread].
  11. Oil pressure........the light is std, its the old on/off switch, they f#ck up all the time, cost sub $20. An after market gauge sender works off a different sender, it has to.
  12. Then my money is on the cat, replace it [like you said]. You have to do that before you can look at anything else anyway.
  13. split dump? I assume 3" system.
  14. The easiest argument is WRC..........when was the last time a V8 mucus car entered and was serious?
  15. Collingwood has heaps of supporters, they won't miss one!!
  16. I was driving from Moulamein to Deniliquin one night in the work vehicle - a Landcruiser with a winch and bullbar - and I hit three roo's in a group. Blood and guts everywhere. The next day we drove into Deni for lunch and when we came out [to get in the vehicle and go back to work] there were two stray dogs licking the bullbar. Ohh yeah, and the impact bent the bar a bit and tore the front number plate off. Never did find that plate.
  17. You really don't get much out of a pfc without a bigger turbo and a fmic. Then you'll need bigger injectors and a better pump. Then expect 200-230rwkw [depending on turbo type]. So keep spending..................
  18. The 2009 Camaro looks like a revamped '69 Camaro with a goodly amount of '69 Ford Mustang in the lines........all that is old is new again. But I gotta admit, they sure beat the crap out of the prosaic modern offerings that - but for a badge change - all look the same.
  19. Weetbix...........absolutely no taste............Cocoa Pops or Froot Loops at least. Some shops get customers that bring in a wheelbarrow full of bits and peices and say 'Build me a car!'. The shop says 'No way', so the moron wheels his barrow to the next shop, eventually someone will say OK. To be fair, it happens with mod parts as well, some shops will sell you anything, other shops try to tell you what will work and what is a waste of $$$$.
  20. Could be a head gasket? But I'd check that its not your water pump first. It can get hard to trace were a leak comes from when it blows around in the engine bay.
