  1. Anger management classes not working then.....lol
  2. If they didn't disable the boost controller in the pfc, or they set the boost way low [like 3psi or something stupid] maybe..................I really don't know, I'm just wondering if this could be a problem, someone with more knowledge than me may be able to answer.
  3. Loved it.............classic!!
  4. Got a TIG at work, I can already oxy/arc weld, have been for years, so once you know the settings to use on a TIG its sort of like using an electric oxy, I have used one a couple of times before. My problem is that I am sh!tloads of miles from anywhere and if I wnat the job done I've got to do it myself - there is nobody around here that does this sort of thing. Anyway, its way cheaper to buy in some bends and bits that I want and cut and shunt them myself than it is to get someone to do it, probably cost $2-300 for the stainless tubing and flanges etc. Thats peanuts for a s/s custom system.
  5. Me too, I'll be using a TIG and turning stainless steel into scrap metal...............lol
  6. I'm waiting for a GTR32 on club plates.....lol, older pipe smoking tweed jacket dude owner, pork pie hat, waxing on lyrically about triple chromed grease nipples at a veteran and vintage show. Nah, its good to see so many people on here passionate about doing up all those old skylines.....................hahaha
  7. If it was a coil and above 3500rpm, I've reckon it would keep missing right through the rev range once it started. Secondary winding [if nissan coils have them, not sure] collapse would be at or over 3500. Maybe the problem is elsewhere.
  8. Nah, you can buy them in the FS section here. Then you just swap it for one on the motor, and keep swapping it until you find the faulty one. Takes like 2 minutes to swap a coil once the valley cover is off. At what revs does it jerk?
  9. Same here!!
  10. I've got project mu slotted rotors and endless pads and they squeal. Having slots doesn't stop it squealling.
  11. Too vague, we'd need more info than that, one thing I'm 90% sure of is that its' either fuel, electrical, or mechanically related though......lol.
  12. I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential public issues, however I had a close miss yesterday on the way home from work. I walked into Bunnings and some old guy dressed in a red polo shirt and an apron asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, due to my quick reflexes, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that! Those less suspecting might not be so lucky. Take care and keep your wits about you. Specially at Bunnings.
  13. Please tell us your updating, not jumping ship!!!
  14. What duty cycle did your injectors get to? And EMS stinger - you did the right thing, you got a unit your tuner was familiar with, thats half the battle won. "not like im gona open up infront of a cop" eyes in the back of your head, I wish you luck {smiles a bit}.
  15. I've used Lintott?? in Sydney, very knowledgeable guy there I think his name was Jay. Lintott are a Nissan agent and they are uber cool, they were bringing in genuine Skyline parts even before the rest of the Nissan network caught on. Try here: http://www.lincorp.com.au/aboutus.htm
  16. If he got it new off Slide it would be the proper Garrett GT3076R IW unit. Should have std numbers as per turbobygarrett site. But..............confirmation is good!
  17. What power you chasing? Sub 200 I'd get the pump pressure checked, it could be OK. Anything over 220rwkw and its your $$$$ your using, but I wouldn't do it. Takes 30 seconds to check pump pressure, your mechanic can do it on the fly.
  18. I'd say your high idle is f@#ked. Every time the a/c kicks in the high idle is supposed to kick in as well.
  19. I've got a 12 gauge, does that count?
  20. I'd like to ask how much cash are they going to give you to tow it away...........looks a bit lowbrow to me. Especially when you can pick up good cars [31, 32, 33] for around the $10000 mark these days.
  21. There is no yes/no answer. You will have to book some dyno time and do a few runs while adjusting the timing to see what gains you will get. Some gtst's don't benefit, while others get real gains at up to 5 degrees. For me it was best at 4 degrees. The gain was only 8kw over 0 degrees. And I had fmic, zorst, pod, pfc, etc etc.
  22. Read the thread, you only need an exhaust one.
  23. Their just cams. Why is a hamburger from Macca's called a Big Mac? No..........beats me too. Tomei just decided to call them poncams and procams for some reason that someone else will tell us maybe. Generally speaking poncams are street and procams are race [but some ppl like to explore the boundaries].
  24. MMmm I hadn't thought of the adaptor plates etc [still new stuff to me yet], I might see what HKS have to offer. Just checked, 750 for a std one from Nengun, bit exe but might be worth it? What did you get? What boost are you running? And last why did you use non genuine studs, any reason? Thanks BHDave
  25. I think my missus suffers from that...............lol
