Good thing, except that on my '98 R33 there are two 'prongs' that go through the floorpan and are released underneath the car by undoing a clamp and squeezing the 'prongs' together then pushing them back up through the hole. These 'prongs' are accessed from under the car ie they are outside the car. I haven't done it yet, tried to get my rear seat out but put the base out in the too hard basket. I only wanted to get my backrest part out anyway, and with a bit of patience it came without the need to take the base out.
PS you can actually see the holes for the 'prongs' in your photo, you have circled them in blue.
So after reading another thread here, if I change my rear springs to the front, and then use std front springs at the back [i've still got my std shocks], I'd get away with a cheap but worthwhile fix for the stiff suspension. Then I could add stab. bars front and back to finish.
Am I on the right track ?????
So SK are you advocating that we should use Kmac's/Selby's and replace the Teins with Ohlins, or will a spring change suffice.
I've got the Tein H and R adjustables on the car [as bought], the ride is too stiff/harsh for where I live and the roads I use, and the setting is too low. I [possibly naively] thought that I could kill the two birds with the one stone by resetting the height, this would take the 'excessive' preload off the spring and raise the height a couple of cm [i need this to get up my driveway without scraping the front bar].
Now you've got me thinking that a complete redesign is the way to go with stab. bar and Ohlins/Bilsteins/Koni etc. If this is the case then RatedGTR you could maybe buy mine????
Not meaning to steal the thread, But whats wrong with your original std seats???
Have you got them, are they damaged etc I only want parts off them if you have them.
I've got a lock diff [complete with all the alloy struts and braces] and a Momo steering wheel on mine, the HICAS is a non functioning accessory. I took the bulb out. I'd guess 30 minutes to get the dash and instrument cluster out, you only need a Phillips head screwdriver.
I think there is a 'how to' thread in SAU on doing this if your unsure.
I always check my fluids, its something that was automatically done by all thinking owners before warning lights were relied on to protect the idiots [thats why they call them idiot lights].
Its easy to get the dash out anyway............
I didn't do it [wish I had though, might have done a better job of saving the clips], the upholsterers who had my seat did it and managed to break 3 out of 4 clips.
Have a look at the photo in 'wanted', you have to fold the 'barbs' in and push them out.
I don't think it is, I think it will fit a SI, BUT I don't really know [maybe you can help here].
I'm in a town that has one skyline - mine, I can't check that sort of thing out.
I ordered it for a SII, and I know it fits a SII, so I stick to what I do know [which isn't much I gotta admit].
Any chance of getting my drivers seat clips, the ones that hold the map pocket on to the back of the drivers seat, four [i'll take more for next time if possible] of them, in a '98 SII gts2.5t. Or a complete map pocket if thats how it comes.
blx and prank, pics sent, knore, I could if your really keen, but you will loose resolution, that is why I'm only emailing the extra photo's, let me know what you want to do.
I've posted a pic of mine fitted [well will today].
I can answer this a bit, any colour you can buy a bulb in..............
They have two rubber plugs in the back that cover access to the two bulbs 180' apart, at 3 and 9 o'clock. You buy a red bulb and fit it, and presto red light.
