  1. I'd be interested, but not this time [got other things on], but I'll stay tuned, maybe another time. I'll definitely make one of these cruises........it'll be a novelty seeing more than just my 'line on the road, and ACT is the closest for me.
  2. Had mine to 250kph, and ran out of road, it wasn't flat. AND It was a hot day and I still had the a/c going [forgot to turn it off, and the fan was on the two position, so the a/c was working]. I reckon with the right road and no a/c I might see 260-270. The 300kph speedo was checked and calibrated only a short while before this, so have to assume it was correct [wheel ratios and sizes may have changed it a bit though, I'm on 17" rims and advan 40zr17 tyres].
  3. just teasin', no need to get too sensitive. personally i don't care if its 1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready or 4 to go......................
  4. 'plethora' 'menagerie' r31's could be called a 'museum' or an 'antique collection', although they probably wouldn't quite fit in with the 'antique' tag, I think you have to be worth something to be called an antique.............lol
  5. How about a 'western' "On the western skyline"...........[apologies to B.Hornsby] or a 'coven' maybe if they are R31's you could call then Brontosauruses [just for you slip], old beasts.........
  6. Under the bonnet......................
  7. It could be, I'm not skyline educated enough to be able to tell you, I know it has had some serious work done on it, whether by Nissan, or Nismo, or the Jap dude that owned it, I don't know. I do know: Full lock diff G Max Nismo clutch Tein coil over height and ride adjustable Super advan wheels 255/245 yokohama advan tyres hks pod filter blitz fmic hks evc blitz turbo timer apexi turbo gauge Greddy gauges x4 oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, exhaust temp cusco rear wing oil cooler m/c brake stop bracket 3 1/2 exhuast hks viper 5" s/s muffler cusco front top bar on suspension MP3 player 300kph nismo speedo different front bar carbra momo wheel razo gearknob and accelerator pedal project U brakes And I'm told its, a bigger turbo [i haven't seen a std one, so looks no diff to me] bigger injectors aftermarket ECU, no markings that I could see, so don't know what sort I also know it does 250kph with the a/c on [forgot to turn it off] an not flat, still accelerating [i have a witness to this], reckon it would be flat at 260/270kph, maybe my speedo is out of calibration, I don't know, I had it serviced and calibration checked by Olympic instruments in Pymble prior to installation, so wouldn't think so, but wheel diameter etc may change the ratio. This was at 16 psi boost, which apparently it has been built to take [or so I'm told] etc etc [i normally run at 0.75/1.2 kg/m on the evc. i've had it dyno'd twice now, and its making about 195rwkw [189 and 197 at two seperate places, ie not the same garage]. I take all the pride of ownership etc, but take NO credit for all this, I didn't do anything. I've only owned it since May 2003. Hope this didn't bore you too much, i hate this sort of thing a bit. I'll get some pics out soon.
  8. Not to ignore you sewid, but I just got back to the office (I go away with work a bit), and find I've been given a new computer. Now all my really cool stuff is on my old drive, so I'll have to link 'em up and bring all my 'private' stuff across. I'll get to it some time next week. I'm away again most of the week............ Also need to take some good qual pics of the cedric, since I bought the digi camera (thanks sly100) on the forum here, I can do that now [take pics that is]. But I gotta say that its really only a gts-t with a few mods.
  9. Yeah, car bra for stones and insect crud. Sorry didn't see you, must've been lookin' elsewhere.....or something. Yeah Woolpack is no longer a retirement home for old age pensioners, its been 'modernised. Common whores are the car of choice around here, I'm the only lonely skyline for a 100 kilometre radius. Even if it is only a gts-t it's still special around here.
  10. Yep, thats my oven, just park it in the sun until the sunday roast is ready........lol Didn't see another 'line anywhere.........?????
  11. Anybody ????
  12. Thanks for this, bit late getting back to it, but I go away with work a bit and am usually trying to catch up when I get back..........
  13. I went to Jake's, he's good at what he does, and is an approachable dude. You can talk skylines to him and get a commom sense answer etc.
  14. I got quoted $451 for tpp with just cars, haven't paid up yet, seems a bit expensive. I've got tpp withaon for my hilux, and it is way more modified than my line, and it only costs me $240, I'm hunting up a cheaper tpp provider for my line [aon won't touch it unfortunately]. But I reckon tpp for a skyline shouldn't be more than $350-400, anything else is just a shareholder profit dividend stock market rip-off.
  15. How would you go importing a 34GTT from NZ instead of Japan then. No GST here to pay cos its already paid in NZ. Don't know about compliance etc
  16. Sorry I meant M-spec, V-spec, Series I vs Series II, GT series racing etc etc etc. But good link you posted though.........
  17. Anyone got a list of spec on skylines and what each one actually means??? Is there one already on the forum???? Or is it too complex and I'm better off buying a 'Skyline Story' book.
  18. Tried that, talked to Darrin at Just Jap, and yeah, he agreed that there is *some* provision for one in the R33, but he'd never seen one fitted. Even in the owners handbook they mention how to operate the cruise control [where fitted].
  19. Has anyone installed a cruise control on an R33. What brand, supplier etc and most important, does it work. Asked about Nissan ones [eg ex Maxima, pulsar etc], but nobody seems to be able to give a first hand account or answer. Be handy for trips down the Hume or Sturt Highway's etc.
  20. You don't need a stacker if you've got an mp3 player, approx. 8 hrs of play on each CD. My Alpine is ex
  21. I used Olympic Instruments at Pymble. You have to give them a letter of approval, that gives them permission to reset the odometer reading, and you can't reset it past your last pink slip, this stuff is recorded by the RTA and big trouble if you break the law. They keep the letter of approval and this absolves them of any wrongdoing, you get the blame. A Nismo speedo fits straight into your original cluster, you only need the speedo, easy conversion.
  22. Indi Back Country 26" mountain bike, front shocks, 24 speed shimano, brand new, never ridden, unwanted prize, retailing for around $400 so will sell for $300.
  23. 400a for the 800amp, and 600a for the 1000amp [i think I've got an 800, I'll check on that, but it has a few other other attributes that are supposed to make them the 'ducks guts' of batteries. Have a look on their web site [assuming they got one] or get a pamphlet. It will explain it heaps better than I can. It rapid recharges after heavy load, has a big cycle rate, can be deep cycled, long shelf life, etc etc
  24. I converted mine to an Odyessy total seal. I can get them in the country areas. I tried and couldn't get the Yuasa battery [it was a jappa batt, even Yuasa Aust. said no go]. I had to change my leads etc, and weld up a new battery holder setup, did it all myself and ended up with a top shelf job [if you want it done right......do it yourself]. The Odyessy battery is a queer animal, nil maintenance, long life, and big crank power, they are a bit more exy though.
