  1. Hair Gel....just ask Cameron!!!
  2. So you bent a valve....that's one of the sure signs that the belt was out
  3. That's a good thing....makes Officer Donut confused!!!!
  4. 2009....I say let the dead lie. BTW try the dyno threads and search on Blitz.
  5. Squirt some oil in the cylinders and then do another test...….see if it comes up OK? At least you will know if its rings or head.
  6. Funnily enough....when I look at all three of them the R32 and the R34 look dated, the R32 looks old, the R34 looks brash and angular reminiscent of the '90's wedge shape . They are both like a concept design that never really went anywhere. The R33 gets by exactly because of its less aggressive more rounded style, it will never lose that appeal.
  7. No, not like that....that's bad!!!
  8. That's almost $26K AUD....man I gotta look after my Gtst better.
  9. Well they were up until now!!! but credit where credit is due, they plugged away at it and sneaked in another winner.
  10. water pump, idler wheels, wheel bearings, diff oil, injector clean, there is a workshop manual online somewhere. Find it and download it. Here is one location: https://manuals.co/workshop/nissan/skyline Unless it has an aftermarket ECU [nistune, Link, Power Fc etc] getting it dyno'ed is probably a waste of time tbh.
  11. Interestingly...I did the water pump and belt kit etc on mine. It was on front ramps in the driveway for a day or so while I did bits to it. I also left it so that the sealant [for the water pump] had time to set. Anyway, after a couple of days I finally finished and started it up and it was very noisy, turned off, left and tried again but still noisy. So I turned it off, jacked it up and took the ramps out [can't drive off them due to the front bar anyway] then started it up again and it was fine. Oil starvation, bearing load, dry water pump, whatever, no idea, don't know. That was 10,000km ago, car is fine.
  12. Drop the oil and see if there is any water in it.
  13. Really doesn't matter if its common or rare...its only ever worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And although some will achieve a level of collectability, many - unfortunately - will be eventually consigned to the crusher. And just to add insult to injury, as we and our skylines all get older the market will contract = less buyers = lower value for many versions, until only the truly collectable will be worth anything.
  14. Saw a white R33 heading out on the Barton near Hall as I was coming into Canberra this morning at around 10.
  15. I made mine out of stainless then polished it up on the wheel. Looks OK.
  16. Does your fast idle work when you turn on the AC?
  17. not sure but I think GIMP will still operate OK on XP and up, used to anyway.
