  1. Has anybody tried to buy new OEM replacement floor mats for their R33 [or any R32, R33, R34] from a spare parts supplier? if so, how successful were you? I did buy a couple of sets of 2nd hand ones that were supposed to be mint....but they were bloody horrible...I wasted my $$$. So don't intend doing that again.
  2. Apologies for the glam...but the song is OK
  3. Only trouble with that is you lose your social life, own 2 pair of jeans [one with holes in the knees] and around 4 or 5 cheap T shirts with grease spots and welding/grinding holes in them and you live on noodles or cuppa soups cos you have nil time and $$$ to waste on food or clothes when there are important things like manifolds and turbo's to buy. BTW....I have a THAT wardrobe, but my diet has progressed a little bit to include meat etc Oh and get used to your gf/wife/partner rolling their eyes But its all a journey...good luck man.
  4. yeah, around $5 AUS give or take, but can be much more.
  5. Impressive
  6. I liked ATW version, interesting take. Just thought I'd add the original for reference
  7. Yep...I think you need to consider larger cams for bigger gains then. I think the 256 profile would be too mild for your car.
  8. I cut the wire and spliced in a small square style on/off switch on the dash. Not sure why...I always leave it off :). But I can turn it back on if I think I need to...future Alzheimer's maybe?
  9. I think that the 256 cams are not as much about adding more power as removing the compromises manufacturers have to make to the std cam profile for emission regs. I have the Tomei's [but can't compare cos like everyone else does, I also changed turbo's and other stuff at the same time] but for me it was all about efficiency. I would be looking at using the $$$ elsewhere if you want noticeable power gains.
  10. You have mods...you burn oil. If it didn't I'd be worried.
  11. Only ever had TPP 'bomb' insurance.........was with Just Cars but now with AAMI [Just Cars got absorbed by aami]. Very recently had somebody hit me in the side of the car in a car park - I was parked at the time [engine off, door open, about to get out]. They admitted fault and have made a claim on my behalf because AAMI TPP insurance doesn't cover helping you to make a claim, only in claims against you. So now I am at the mercy of the other persons insurance company and waiting for them to approve so I can get it repaired. I feel vulnerable....little me up against a big insurer. I think I will be ok, but it makes you stop and think, if they stalled or said NO then it would take a lot of Dept of Fair Trading or other such assistance and many years to get there.
  12. I have one as well.......tried it in my sump and it didn't feel right, was loose even though it was supposedly the correct thread [says thread on the little pill tube it came in as M12 x 1.25]. I removed and never ever used it. I am thinking that quite a few of them would end up like mine....sitting on the shelf, or in my case shed fridge. I grimace every time I get a beer.
  13. The test in the article Stinger is AWD mate...not sure if we will get it but maybe....fingers crossed.

BTW, would have replied on the thread but for some reason [even though I started it] I couldn't??
