  1. Glad wrap, coles plastic bags. degreaser worked in with a paint brush then a hose with a jet nozzle. But next time I guess.
  2. Oh ok, I never saw it....I bought another well known brand....blue ones!!! never did like yellow much as a colour [cos I can't critique a product, plus I have nil first hand experience] Strange though it never made the hot topic list!!!
  3. Ditch the aftermarket BOV...too many problems. Some of which sound like yours!!!
  4. Just click on them, they get larger....then use Lightshot to screen capture them and save to your computer. Then you open them up in something basic like MS paint and zoom in.
  5. Definitely looks quicker, nice result.
  6. Check your coils for cracks, wrap in insulation tape to fix...could be arcing. 98 98 98 98....never use anything less. gap plugs to 0.8 [ I think it is, my memory is killing me]. Even if you have 11's just tap them down, no big deal. We are all assuming a std turbo and ECU??? What boost?
  7. Its one of those things, 300/320 whatever it is on a street car sounds bad. But its not just the 300 you have to consider either, the boost to achieve it becomes an important factor. The turbo being used also plays a big part. In a street car where you are just driving and take off from the lights or overtake a B double etc you may not even see the full 20psi or reach the 300. You might do it all inside 250 and say 14 psi and the turbo is a good one and easily handles it. Then you have to look at how often you are going to do that. In a year - with normal sensible driving - you might do it 3 or 4 times and only for 5 minutes before you're backing off. So you might use up to 300kw for 30 minutes in a year. I always tell everyone that at 100km/h my car is a 2.5 litre twin cam straight 6......end of story - my turbo doesn't really boost before this in 5th. If I exceed 100km/h or am going up a steep hill, then it becomes a turbo car with a potential 300kw that I may or may not need for a few minutes. So yes, a Neo can handle +300kw, but its all about your environment, how you use it and your driving style. I have 50,000 on my Gtst and have had no problems, but I did set up for it with a good turbo and supporting mods, so if mine can then the Neo certainly can. Note that I am ignoring any form of showing off or street racing, you do that then whatever happens is ALL your fault.
  8. I am thinking you have much more than fuel issues dude!!! Either a camshaft has snapped [absolute best case] lifter has gone [best case], a valve has gone [getting colder], or a piston has gone = at least a top end rebuild.
  9. Somebody should set up a poll: I have Yellow jackets that work vs I have yellow jackets that worked once. I had my own intimate 'buying experience' with performance-wise some years ago - it wasn't coil packs though.
  10. Norway, the home of Bring a Trailer...we are stuck with Gumtree!!!.
  11. I just got passed by a Power FC....it was going nuts...I couldn't keep up with it. A Power FC gives nil power, it is just a dumb box with some smoke and chipsets in it. The only time you need one is when you have other mods [bigger turbo, FMIC etc etc] and want to use them. This is where your std ECU can't go but your aftermarket ECU can. TBH there are other ECU's out there that do a better job than the Power FC these days, have a look around. Hint: Don't let the smoke out!!!!
  12. Before you do that, You don't have a rear rim on the front do you? Happened to me....I didn't go back to that tyre place again.
  13. What.....and miss all the late nights, greasy hands, skun knuckles, dodgy parts, dodgy dealers, and divorce threats......you guys have no fun!!!! Whats next????? you gunna talk about your feelings????
  14. Another one I had was an annoying little rattle in the drivers door of the Skyline. I looked and tightened everything, even stuck more foam on the door wire/rod latches...no fix. More recently my rear view mirror stopped folding in, so I took everything out to fix it and duh duh....the front window guide/bracket rubber was torn and hanging. You couldn't see itat all and looking down through the window sweeper gap it didn't show. I ordered new brackets from the Brissy business [will add their name if I can think of it] and fixed the rattle, so very happy.
  15. I was chasing an annoying squeak in my 4wd, you could hear it as you were driving along, looked at shocks, suspension, engine covers, you name it.....turned out to be the bonnet rubbers being screwed down a bit too much. I give them more height so that the bonnet was a snugger [not even sure that's a word lol] fit and it fixed it.......not saying its one of yours, but its definitely worth a look.
  16. $8K is ok IMO, FMIC, ECU, clutch, turbo, dyno time, zorst, fuel pump, suspension, brakes, injectors, wheels and tyres, etc etc over +$8k and counting.
  17. There is a tutorial on resoldering your MAF Not sure if that is your problem, but worth looking at!!!
  18. sand it back, say 200 [if your rust is really bad] then 400 then 800 then 1200 grit emery, don't rush, take your time. Then paint it, mask off, primer, undercoat then colour. Let it dry for a few days then cutting polish and then polish to blend it in. or just use a converter then kilrust and it will fix it but it will look like sh1t!!! Or drive to the nearest panel beater shop.... by the time you buy emery, converter, primer, paint, and all the other stuff, plus time etc it will probably not be that much different.
  19. Shoulda gone to Godfreys!!! [a pun on vaacum]
  20. ^^^^yes, but go up a size or two for 'future needs' IMO.
  21. Sorry Tomei's....dumb auto correct on phone changed it to Romeo's....lmao
  22. Adjustable cam pulleys, if yr using STD pulleys then u can't adjust. If yr using eg Tomei's with a live centre then they should be zero.
  23. You didn't adjust the timing at all did you? They should both be zero for a 25.
  24. I think for the $95K you are just buying the raw product.....you would have to spend the time and $$$ then to shine that diamond. I personally don't see the $95K in it, but then again I am a user not a collector, others would be tripping over themselves to close a deal.
