  1. So is red meat, sausages and bacon!!!!! Yep, follow the MSDS, use with caution.....................toluene isn't great on a BBQ.
  2. If fuel economy is your thing......I think a moped or a Prius is more befitting!!! Efficiency is a different animal. I get 9.6 litres/100km on a trip at 300rwkw. That was measured twice, once to the GC and back, and another time to Mt Gambier and back. I have no idea what I get around town, somewhere south......deep south probably, but who cares, town is town. At the moment, a single tank has lasted for two months.....waiting for a part from japan before I can use it again
  3. Open season for all licenced shotgun or western action participants is the best approach................but I don't think the government will go for it!!!
  4. Do they have one for kids with skateboards on footpaths????
  5. Probably better off using some toluene - $ for $.
  6. ^^^There is no button...........I find it interesting but don't like it [and know I am not meant to!!]
  7. Or his harmonic balancer has spun?
  8. If everything was working fine for a while then it changed without notice then my bet is fuel starvation, time to check the filter, FPR, pump etc Pump is my guess, its not delivering enough when you boost!
  9. I always use a self powered timing light to remove induced/false strobes. Try to avoid using units that reply on the vehicles own power sources. It is the slide over clip to the wire type - I use No# 1 sparkplug wires for the trigger - the strobe is rock steady, no jumping or false positives!!! Every mark is 5 degrees - as already stated. Also 950 rpm sounds too high. It is supposed to be set at 650.
  10. Best buy a spanner set and get to it yourself then! The first things to do are as above from Nizmo man and 89 CAL. Use a 10mm socket and take the stone tray off, wipe the motor down and start the car and and have a good look. Check the hoses and hose clamps, etc. If its a water pump then may as well do the timing belt and pulleys while you are at it.
  11. That won't work..........issues written all over it.
  12. Old thread but worth dragging up...... I just ordered from nissanparts.com.au and it was only one small part and so far customer service was great. Nice to talk to a person who listens and acts. I will [assuming I remember to lol] post/update after I see how it goes for delivery.
  13. Maybe also check the fuel pump is working? If you can crank it and it isn't starting it is either fuel or spark [yeah obvious I know] and it looks like you have pretty much looked at most spark issues.
  14. No, I meant the water pump itself, they are slightly different and REPCO and others often carry the one for the RB30, but rarely stock the proper one for the RB25.
  15. Out of interest, was it an RB25 one or an RB30 one?
  16. Sell the lot..........blow it on booze, ice, and hookers!!! Personally an R35 is a dream.......affordable, but excessive. Lots of us could afford one if we were of single purpose, but our practical nature takes over and we buy a station wagon, Commodore, falcon, camry, Twin cab 4wd and house etc. And then have an earlier model Skyline as our weekender. Driving an R35 would send me to the grave worrying about shopping trolleys, drunk drivers, P Platers, sticky fingered kids, not to mention car thieves and jealous types who just want to trash the rich!!!! I could never leave it in the Westfield car park while I had coffee with friends.
  17. Sorry, but are you listening???? Don't do anything till you get your pressure tested. You need to find the fault before introducing more random parts and issues.
  18. This^^^^ or recut the original keyway with a larger unit - but this needs meat and from the pics I can't be sure. Plus you need to machine the HB to suit.
  19. Before you do this, just check your radiator top and bottom hoses are connected, and hose clamps are tight. Also check your hoses for leaks and splits. Also just check that its not your radiator leaking somewhere as well. Even removing the stone tray and seeing where the leak comes from? I agree that the likely culprit is the water pump, but a quick check of the simple things might be a smart move before 'firing from the hip'.
