  1. LOL I got a leather set for mine - genuine SIII GTR's - had them restored and re-dyed/coloured etc and never fitted them. Got another set of velour GTR one and put then in and to this day can't make up my mind which ones to sell!!! prob never will...
  2. I would have taken that stone tray off as well though, just makes it easier and less splash/dribble............but really good Tutorial.
  3. lol Rob.......ain't nothin' like a new dust collector sittin' on the mantle!!!!
  4. They the mob that burnt down last night?
  5. Hows the tension? And hows the tensioner bearings? One could be sticking or not freely rotating/lagging?
  6. What sort of ECU do you have??? I wouldn't think that a standard NA ECU would run a turbo mod.
  7. Jeez I wouldn't be buying that without serious investigation and strapping it on a dyno to see for myself.........and $38K???? seriously???? Have a look on the FS section and you will see them for sub $15K, and thats generally a lot of car for that sort of dollar. You could build a damn good unit for the extra $20K
  8. So now your Line looks like a genuine Edward Lees import
  9. yeah I got mine checked out at the same time, it was s/h so I didn't want any smoke escaping when I plugged it in, plus the best time to fix it is when its out - so if the temp/speedo/fuel etc didn't work they could fix it before I went to the hassle of tearing half the dash apart.
  10. Any good instrumentation shop can set your new cluster to the old ones readings. When I got my nismo cluster I send it off and had it reset to my standard mileage. All they wanted was a declaration signed by me that it was what it was. They didn't want pics or anything though [i dealt through the mail, not over the counter].
  11. I genuinely like your can do attitude.....
  12. I wouldn't use a helicoil there........go time sert every time!!!! The trouble is if you get a slight soot/carbon buildup on the spark plug thread when you take it out [regular service etc] it can grab the helicoil and bring it out as well. I've never had an issue with time serts.
  13. Check your wiring.........and double check your sensors cos they are probably ok. Very unlikely to get two duds in a row, they are simple and generally failsafe.
  14. Must have a deal on some 11:1 pistons??? and wanted to know the odds???
  15. WMI all the way.....still using my first drum of Meth. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/306109-my-wmi-install/?hl=wmi
  16. Bargain...........I just put a deposit on on it!!!
  17. Cripes.......your having a bad run, hope it works out OK.
  18. In NSW if he gets his parents to buy and register it as a family owned car under their name [not his] then he can use it [or thats my understanding of it], but what parent would be so stupid. And removing the turbo doesn't work cos the law goes off the model number of the car, and a Gtst is Gtst is a Gtst!!! I would seek legal advice tbh, if he buys and smashes are you liable??? Is it the same as selling beer or cigarettes to minors??? I really don't know. There is a legal website where you can register and ask such questions for free, might give you a starting point? I'll find it and post. Here: https://www.lawanswers.com.au/categories/australian-legal-forums.21/
  19. Its a concept album, one song means nothing!!!
  20. 6 seconds and sitting in the drivers seat............no boom box stereo on or a jet flying overhead??? c'mon Honestly get the bonnet open, record 60 seconds, and rev it from the engine bay [not the drivers seat].
  21. I think that the FS and WTB sections should be mixed, but a radial button that lets you filter if you want to so that only FS or WTB are displayed if needed. ie you open the forum and they are all together and you can browse both, but if you need to be specific you can then select WTB or FS and it will filter and you only look at the one. This could be easily managed at the start by having people placing adds select a category, then their ads will have WTB or FS at the start of every thread. No category=no ad. I also think that the WTB for a car is way different to Spare Parts. I would always keep WTB for cars in the For Sale section [for Whole Cars] - no filter button necessary. The traders definitely deserve better levels of access and ability. I think they should be able to answer adverts [price of goods is mandatory] with a solution and/or suggestions, but no whoring [would only make the business look pushy and stupid anyway]. I also think that they should be allowed to hyperlink their latest adverts - that they place under their trader forum - in the general FS section. This way they can basically say 'hey look guys we now have these in stock'. And example of this would be: Title: Rays Wheels Content:Just arrived, brand new OEM Rays Ultralite Golds, $1500 a set, 5 sets in stock, see http://XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for details and pics. So no pics or big ad banners, and the threads should be locked, the buyer has to click on and go to the link [trader forum] to see more detail, make an inquiry, or place an order. I like this last idea because I know a lot of us have missed out on items because we didn't see it on the trader forum in time, not all parts are always available.
