  1. A day late and dollar short............I just found this. Will pay asap. edit: And paid......... FWIW links on page 7 still work for anyone looking to pay!!!
  2. Used to use a VHT copper spray on head gaskets always worked, but [although the specs were good enough] never needed to use it on a turbo flange gasket.
  3. Your all going the wrong way...........Evo motor in a GTR is the correct direction..........car companies have a habit of taking two great icons and making an unimpressive non selling bastard child, this could be it!!!!
  4. Bangla Desh is on a delta ^^^this.........plus you will get to see what the oil and any gunge in it is like!!! But comp test first then do this.
  5. Never heard of litihum being used for a car [and yet it sounds so logical].......so thanks, now I have and the link I found sounds good. And they are an Aussie company so you can talk direct to them!!! Plus 10 years use out of them - my next battery will be lithium I think!!! One caution though, make sure it is designed for a cars charging system. http://www.superstart.com.au/Products/ProductList/tabid/108/mode/details/bid/15/Default.aspx https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles/battery-articles/gel-vs-agm.html
  6. Ok, if time was irrelevant what top 5 artists would you like to see live? Only 5, artist and year/decade please!! For me its: 1. King Crimson late '70's 2. Led Zeppelin late 70's 3 Smashing Pumpkins 90's 4. Porcupine Tree 2010ish is fine 5. Howlin' Wolf 60's Notice how it gets harder as you go down the list!!! Would have said Black Sabbath but I have now crossed that off my bucket list. And to think of all the artists I've missed out on in that list - so hard.
  7. I always wondered who bought second hand euro's......I think you should try a Peugeot or Fiat next!!! Actually, no, don't.........be cheaper to find a brick wall and start hitting your head against it
  8. Yeah better oil pump, but ARP studs and stuff all good. Doing the same, but slowly. Have RB30 motor, RB25 head with VCT, oil pump, water pump, and gasket set. Next buy is rods I reckon. So also interested in what you are doing, what you get, and how its going.
  9. I wrap a couple of rags around the bleed valve and crack it open and closed a few times. The first time I tend to leave it open until I get flow, then its just open till it dribbles then off. Its not that hard. On a slope [on jack or ramps] would create cavities and not bleed properly I'd reckon [but don't know], I do mine on all four wheels. I tried the coke bottle trick once but it didn't make any difference for me, just added another complexity I didn't need so haven't used it since.
  10. How do they know you only did 10 trips??? Seems like an open ended thing to me. I could do one trip to Adelaide and clock up 5,000km, or you could do 20 trips to the shops and clock up 500km.
  11. Try Just Jap or one of the specialty outlets that cater for imports.
  12. Put your old thermostat back in and see what happens.
  13. I have to jack mine up just to get the ramps under the tyres - can't drive up them, too low. But I've been using a Repco low profile steel/iron jack for years and it is fine, gets under the car and onto the subframe at the front no issues. I usually put a 600mm bit of 4x2 across the frame to even out the load though. Cost me around $200. Only thing is its heavy, but thats what trolley wheels are for.
  14. Old aussie stuff
  15. Sorry I prefer piano!!!!
  16. He didn't say what ECU, so not sure but sounds sus
  17. I have a small aluminium custom key ring set up I want to black anodise. I need a business that specialises in small job lots. Prefer NSW but Vic is OK. Thanks in advance.
  18. Could be Wine Red but more of a Plum or Burgundy. With soft fruity aftertones and a hint of blueberry and citrus. Nice colour BTW.
  19. ^^^ This, try another battery or jumper pack and see if the problem goes away.
  20. Yep. Skyline standard motor 142/206kw, and we are smashing 300+ out of them unopened. We have no right to complain about breaking stuff, would happen with any modded motor.
  21. Interesting.......I had a 4wd and was sick of going on trips sitting in dust with straw floating around in the cabin [my 4wd was a real one, dusty muddy, tools on the back seat, grass seeds on the floor, ladder racks etc] I had a small bucket of cash and didn't really care what I ended up with. Was looking for the most for the least and after looking around ended up with a Skyline. To think i nearly bought a WRX/V8 Commodore with my bucket, but the Skyline was better bang for bucks all round - I shudder now. Best car I have ever owned bar none IMO [not that I have ever owned world class stuff, just 4wd's, holdens, fords and the odd american muscle car].
  22. Its still 1975 ^^^^, it always is............every time we turn around its still 1975, Levi jeans and Led Zeppelin are everywhere! The only proviso I'll put on my previous comment is that we have to wait and see if it will last past a generation. If it does then its classic status, if it doesn't then its just another blip in automotive history. That is the true test. I know this because I have older british motorcycles and some are collectable and have gone on to be envied by new generations and others are worth little and and after all the people of that era get too old or die out then nobody wants them. Yet both models started out with similar pedigree's, And its not even how rare or practical they are, its more how they are remembered, aarrr the mists of time!!! I personally think GTRs will have no problems, but I am trapped in the same generation so my opinion may die with me?? And apologies to the OP, there are still Skylines here and in Japan ready to be sold, so they will still be around in 10 leave alone 2 years.
  23. I looked at an AM cruise control a while ago..........somebody on here had one, Kat maybe? Not sure. They said that they worked OK. Be a good thing across the Hay Plains. The one thing I did say about skylines in general several years back now, as they get older and older and thus cheaper and cheaper they will fall into the hands of more and more street racers and bogans in general. There will be a universe between the ones like we treat ours [pristine with tasteful well set out mods] and the thrash machines fate that also awaits old Commodores and Falcons etc. I would not be surprised to see run down dented skylines for $1-2K. The plus for that is they would make a great project or track car, so start with a shell and build up from there. Generally though Skylines will be similar to older corvettes, transams and camaro's and live on in an enthusiasts hands. Hell we may even see a slow cost appreciation for the GTR [esp. the 32] over time.
  24. Lmao........I have never complained once..............do you need an interpreter? A V8, yeah but they do the same job and are boring...been there done that. My Skyline is comfortable, something wrong with yours??? I hear GTR's can be harsh???
