    Defected

im a bit curious as to why a unmarked car giving a defect notice is a court required offence where as a marked car isnt. sounds strange to me. but hey,,so are alot of the laws regarding defects and hooning.
  5. looks like a good turnout and day. spewin i wasnt able to make it
  6. hey guys, a couple of questions for you all. i bought some sideskirts from here a while ago and will be getting them repainted and fitted shortly. also am looking at getting some rear pods done at the same time. so my questions are. its a 33 s2. i bought standard side skirts. would gtr pods look alright with these skirts or not. i just cant really get a image of what they would look like together. i like the way the gtr pods wrap around the rear bar. does anyone have this on theres and if so can you please post pics. 2nd ques- i will be ringing around and getting quotes etc, but roughly from your experiences how much roughly should i be expecting to pay to get sideskirts and pods painted and fitted in normal white. if anyone could help me with these quieries (spelt wrong) that would be great cheers all= pete
  7. i recommend claying aswell. when i bought my car the paint work was just shite. so much gunk on it. gave it a clay job, polish etc and came up very good. must admit its a pain in the arse to do though. took me forever. i heard off someone that if you run your hand over the panel and it doesnt feel like glass then its time for a clay job.
  8. yep definetly is. money will start being deposited in april unless you didnt do your tax return last year or the year before (cant remember which year they are going off). will be getting deposited straight into the account that you used aswell.
  9. needing to do this above 80km isnt advisable to start with.
  10. well i know mines definetly going into the economy. mr rudd is paying to have my sideskirts and pods painted and fitted. thanks kev
  11. ffs, why doesnt stuff like this come up when i have the cash to spare.
  12. mostly around the 2500-3000rpm mark and about 6000rpm when giving it a bootfull
  13. oops my bad, i meant to write boost, oil pressure and water temp.
  14. hey all, if i was to upgrade to some after market gauges and wanted only 3 of them what would be the most usefull 3 to put in. i was thinking boost, oil temp and water temp. would these be the best 3 to use or not.

  16. i dont think they will last long the general public will kick up that big of a fuss over this. its bs though what the are doing.
  17. i dont know why nrma wouldnt cover your skyline. i was with them when i had my old car and when i bought the skyline they were going to cover me but it was about $1600pa where as just car is $975pa. the only reason i changed to just car was the $600 price difference. and im only 27.
  18. hey guys and girls, i know there are alot of posts on here regarding the 100k service but i havent been able to find what i was after so i thought id post this. im needing to get mine done cause its overdue, i rang the mechanic i used to see with my old car (not an import) he had just done this service on a skyline the day before i rang so he basically said what its going to cost approx is, timing belt kit-$285 water pump -$180 labour about 5 hrs @ $77hr. i didnt ask about coolant and what ever else is needed. i know his labour is quite cheap, but i just want to know if it should take 5hr to do the service and if the price of the timing belt kit and water pump sounds about right $ wise. so all up it should be about the $850 mark with what he said. i can do all the other stuff required like diff/gearbox oils, engine oil, filters, spark plugs etc myself so i havent bothered getting him to do this stuff to keep it abit cheaper for me. i live in brisbane and drive a r33gtst, if anyone can let me know if this sounds about right and/or what they have paid for their 100k service (either on a post or pm) would be great. thanks all-pete..
  19. hey mate. do you know what (if anything) would be needed to make this fit a 33 s2.
  20. if they stop your lights from clouding up then yep i think its a great idea
  21. sorry guys, i know this isnt where seller/buyer feedback is meant to be put but it wont let me do it in the feedback area. i just wanted to say thanks to chris (seller) for the sideskirts i purchased. always kept contact with me and gave me a con note number to check where the goods were in transit. goods arrived in good condition as per stated and arrived quickly. i wouldnt hesitate to buy from him again and if i wasnt such a broke mo-fo id probarly buy a few more of the things he has for sale. thanks for everything mate pete
  22. hhmmm. ok. well if it doesnt reach the +7 mark something would have to be wrong. im not a street demon so i dont give it all it can for aslong as i can but it does get revved out occasionally in 1st and 2nd. it feels as though when it hits 4500rpm or so it gives abit more of a kick but it definetly doesnt go to the +7 mark. if i should be seeing it hit the +7 mark and it isnt what possibly could be the problem. obviously i want it to run as good as its designed to but like i said before its my first skyline so im not quite sure what the stock power should be like.
  23. first off ill start by wishing everyone a happy and safe new years eve. party hard . but what i want to know is, i have a standard s2 r33gtst. it has stock exhaust, intercooler, air intake etc. on the rev tacho it has the boost gauge which has -7, 0, +7 and a line in between these. just say im driving and i put my foot flat to the floor where should i expect to see the boost level rise to. mine goes to the - in between 0 and +7. is this normal for a my car running standard boost or should it be rising more than that. this is my first skyline so honestly its not something ive really had to pay attention to before. if someone could let me know wheather this should be ok or not would be great. cheers all- pete
