does anyone really know the law? or can they do anything, and get away with it unless we fight them in court .

I was told by the RTA that because my GTR is a personal import I'm exempt from any law about emissions. Something about a yellow compliance plate. And what is the truths about pod air filters? Every time I ask I get different answers. Two weeks ago I was pulled over and checked under the bonnet to see a box around the pods. Cop said that's fine. I asked him why I need the box he said because it because of the risk of them being a fire hazard with oil and grease on them. I have also been told it's because of noise pollution and other reasons.

And every state to get involved ...... seeing I'm from Sydney. We just need the right people to organize it. Sorry guys just an off topic question. I noticed on the tv show they pointed out the pod air filter and that being illegal. I was too fined for my pods. but when I ask why I get different answers, from noise pollution, a fire hazard, back fire hazard, and last exhaust pollution by running richer. Are they really a problem?

In the ten years owning my GTR times have changed. Never used to get harassed by police and even was asked by a cop on a bike for a race to see if he could catch me lol. I have never seen stupid, crazy skyline drivers hooning around. I have seen allot of p platters driving there car like they stole them. It's an image that the media have put on us and also the cops are jealous because we have real cars that go, stop and out handle any falcon or commodore. We some how need a better image. Maybe more cruise days?

How often to you guys get pulled over? I have had my r32 GTR for ten years now and I may only take it out twice a months but depending where i drive i'll get stopped. The first time I was caught with pods and given a fine and a blue slip. Now i got the pods boxed but still get pulled over and given a hard time but they haven't found anything ... yet. I fully understand if I was doing something wrong (being a Hoon) but just driving around with my wife and daughter. I have to be careful where I drive now.

Nice to meet you to yoyo . my first run was a 14.4 ( beating a r33 GTS) second was 14.3. Had wheel spin and left it to the auto to change gears. I felt lazy. They say it's quicker to manual shift. Oh well still happy with the time seeing it's all stock. Makes it a long night when holden V8's blow up on the line I saw two other 350gt's there but never ran? A nice black one with different exhaust.

Would the power button make any difference in a straight line?

As long as your having fun SCATHING that is important! So is auto faster then manual? I have an auto and love it. Took the manual for a test drive and didn't like it at all. My 18 year old GTR feels brand new compared to that lol. Looking forward to meeting fellow 350 drivers

Good to see a some interest. Most people will be coming from work so not to easy working out a cruise. Some information for first timers, Gates open at 5pm scrutineering from 5pm to 7:30pm Racing from 6pm till 10pm Entry spectators $20 competitors $50 Important items to bring current drivers licence long sleeved shirt and pants closed in shoes Helmet So is there anyone expecting to be into the 13's? or 12's?

I'm going to eastern creek next wednesday night the 19th Aug and was hoping to get a few more 350gt or z's to come out and have some fun. They say mid 14's for a stock 350gt but i'm hoping to get into the low 14's or even high 13's by making it a bit lighter lol. All just a bit of fun. And what is quicker, 350gt or 350z? So anyone interested?
