Last night (about midnight): Driving south on the F6 at 105km/h past the Helensburgh onramp,I look over to see a station wagon booting it up to about 120 to merge.. I was the only vehicle around so I moved in to the right hand lane to make it easy for them.. Then pulled back in behind them as they got about 100m ahead. ...To show their appreciation for this courtesy they then slowed to 95km/h. I changed lanes and overtook. ...They then accelerated and stayed in my blind spot for a minute or so, so that I could not get past without going over the speed limit... I continued at 105-108km/h and off they went, at (approx) 120km/h on their merry way, veering all over their lane like they were preoccupied, and not focused on driving a motor vehicle. Can anybody guess what was written on the side of the station wagon????? ....................POLICE................ Clearly, they were just trying to show a good example of safe, courteous and predictable road use. So that I may observe their skill and prowess and inspire me to better my obviously poor attitude to road manners. Knobs. It's a pity there are cops like this, there are plenty of nice cops too, but morons like this give the rest a bad rep. .... On another note; When Johnny Boy racer and his wannabe mates want to have a go at the traffic light grand prix, I show them how it's done... Rev up waiting for the 6000RPM launch.. Then take off driving miss daisy, as they pull 2nd gear chirpies in their Kitted hyundai excel, looking like douchebags. ..And I laugh myself silly. every time

Idiocracy!!! I did enjoy that movie. Stupid fun, but has an interesting theme if you dig underneath the masturbation jokes. "But it's got electrolytes!!"

The benefits of sponsorship... Being part of an FSAE-A team, the organisers at EC allow us to train drivers and test/tune on the peanut for nix. UOW-Racing sure has a pretty sweet deal, though (not for lack of hinting) I have yet to be allowed to punt the Skyrine around on the same days. Must be an insurance thing. ...Oh well. I no complain.

It's a shame Darwinism is not an 'active' theory of evolution. Though hopefully (in the long term) Genotypes such as this will become extinct, I have no doubt that this inferior sub-species of homo-sapiens will slowly demise, lest they breed like rabbits with their liberal views on rape... If only natural selection were more direct, this fool would have ended up at least incapable of reproduction... like, if say, the half evacuated case of VB cans had somehow migrated from the passenger seat to his crotch upon impact, with a devastating amount of momentum, followed by the ensuing half-ass attempt at a vehicle rollover causing one or more cans to burst and send shards of aluminium can into and around his loin, narrowly missing pelvic bone, to end up with a shrapnel filled rectum and beer seeping from his now aspirated scrotum.. .. if only... Oh well, the (somewhat dubious at times) Australian legal system will hopefully see that he has limited freedom for a time, to the extent at least that he will be unable to inseminate anything but his hand, or another male inmate, for long enough to offset his ability to unconsentually fertilise the eggs of unsuspecting teenage females at the local train station parking lot at knife-point. Admittedly, I have once driven drunk (4 beers, yes I am a lightweight, but a cheap date at least).... in 2nd gear in a paddock in a roll-caged 1982 corolla. With a helmet. That was enough experience to reaffirm that driving (at all) is more fun when I am not cognatively impaired. Drink in front of me... and I'll join you. But attempt to drive afterwards in front of me, and I'll deck you, and hold you down until you eat your keys, and chew before swallowing.

Actually (as I'm more of a go than show individual) it was a pretty cheap job. The complete fibreglass kit was $900 from a member (Drift Shop i think) here, the headlights also from a member here (non-xenon) were $500ish, and then the sandpaper, grease/wax remover and cheapo satin black spraycans, sikaflex, pop rivets and cable ties (lol!) added up to about $100 The installation was fiddly to tell the truth, but fairly straightforward. After a dry-fit, and Pre-drill for the mounting holes, all of the panels needed a cut or grind here and there to sit correctly, which I ecpected for a cheap kit. The Moulds seem to be good quality, but some areas had more resin than glass so due care was required. The headlights fitted nicely with some simple DIY aluminium brackets, but still require a bit of fiddling to get the alignment perfect. The original rear arches were cut, folded,and weld stitched before sealing (Room for 285 rubber!) I might get some build photos together and post a thread on it in a week or two. My goal was mostly to get more wheel/suspension room, and to look tough from a distance, and have (mostly) succeeded. That said, if you like show cars don't bother with a cheap kit as you will spend weeks getting a perfect fit/finish unless you have lots of time, money, or bodywork skill. It's a long way from finished, and my family car/daily and my 3yo daughter loves it!

Hahah yeah.. the dreaded one-eye r32 headlight ailment..I need to pull the lightswitch apart by the sound of things ...and the green parkers certainly add some wank-factor It's a work in progress, though it'll never be a show car I like the 'beef' that the wide 34 panels give

Selling a used APEXi PowerFC, designated for ECR33, comes with hand controller, and instruction booklet. Price: $1100 I planned to use it with my 25, but that project is taking a different turn. The current loaded tune (as it was removed from the previous car) Was for an R33 Gts-t, with RB25DET, 256deg Poncams, aftermarket intake and headers, GT3076R, SARD 660cc injectors, blow through AFM, 98 octane pump fuel, and the usual other mods, made about 350-360rwhp @18psi if I recall correctly (if that's relevant). I bought the PowerFC 2 years ago, and it has been sitting in a ziplock bag on my bookshelf since!). The unit appears to be in very good cosmetic shape, and worked flawlessly in the 33 before it was pulled out. Location is Sutherland Shire, should a buyer like to pick it up, but I frequently travel to wollongong and camden, so I'm happy to deliver anywhere close to me or in the aforementioned areas.
