Yeah, im from Geelong, so to drive to Racepace, then catch train from Boronia to the City, then another back to Geelong took me about 4 or 5 hours. Was worth it though.

  5. Hey guys another newcomer question here.... We weren't sure what to put for our class on the entry form (R33 and XR6T) we put standard. They have put R33 in 'Skyline' class and XR6 in 'A03' class. Does this mean we cant go out on the track at the same time. Cheers guys, appreciate the help.
  6. So 10kg lighter PER SEAT? Thanks for the help guys, the standard GTST seat are pretty heavy i thought.
  7. Ok, cool, so the standard hooks (R33GTST) are fine. Good. NO BODYKIT for me either! Thanks heaps

  15. R33 GTST. 10s and 8s = Crap on most roads, great on track. All depends on how much of each type of driving you do. Personally i think these are a bit stiff..... Even race cars need some degree of compliance, although usually they have better dampers which helps.
  16. Okay thanks. So the 255/40 is slightly smaller than the 235/45. Obviously this would have an effect on the speedo reading. would this still be a good option for the rear, or am i better off sticking to 235/45 all round? Intended use is track days, hillclimbs etc, with occasional street driving (ie. to and from the track) Cheers.
  17. R33 GTST 17x9 + 35 Front and Rear 235/45 Front and Rear Coilovers (not crazy low) fitted. No mods to guards required. one of the fronts slightly scrubs sometimes on full lock. Rears look like they could sit out a bit further.... maybe 9.5 inch rim next time. Or +30 on the rear. Would i have any clearence issues going to 255/40 tyres on the rear? Also i think the circumference would change.....? Any help would be great. Cheers
  18. This will be the BEST. Playing mx reflex now to get me through the wait.....
  19. Hey guys, just became a club member. Will the supp regs for Sandown on the 27th June appear in this section? Cheers.
  20. I will be at this. First ciruit sprint. Can't wait!
  21. Hi guys, have recently had my R33 GTST tuned a a reputable workshop in melbourne and im a little unsure of the behaviour whilst in 5th gear. The car runs the following setup: -Standard Turbo -Splitfire Coils -3inch turbo back exhaust including -Power FC -Front Mount Cooler -z32 AFM -Upgraded Walbro fuel pump -Standard Injectors Okay so the problem i have noticed occurs at high speed around 180km/h in 5th. 1. There is a beep/chime noise 2. The engine light flashes 3. Knock level on the Power FC Hand Controller reads quite high (around 80) The injector duty cycle has never exceed 89% The car behaves as it should in all gears up to this point, with acceptable knock levels. Also on part throttle but on boost, the car feels sort of "surgey" but its ok and smooth when not on boost. It does not have the 180km/h speed limiter anymore so is not related to this. I have tried to contact the tuner about this but have not been able to get a reply. I asked for a conservative (safe) tune suited to trackdays etc. Any help or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Roh.
