  1. I don't understand what you mean by rough finish on the ports? The manifolds are made from steam pipe and you have the choice of that or have it ceramic coated..

Well I am a good friend of Leigh's (ETM) and can vouch for his work, his workmanship and service that he provides is outstanding to say the least!..and im not just saying that cause he is a mate. The only downside if there is one I guess is that he is very busy!..but then who isn't when you are selling a good product!

I had an rb25/30 in my vl with tomei poncams and gt35/40 with a 1.06 rear with microtech 600cc injectors, ETM manifold and it made 340rwkw, and it was awesome put ur foot into it in second and it would turn the tyres straight away, id say it was making fullboost by about 3500rpm (18psi) compared to when i had the excat same setup on the 25 bottom end it came on full boost at about 4500rpm! Looking at your graph it looks very lazy in making power, i dunno what the cause of that is but yeah it looks very slow in making power..

There is alot of variables that go with each persons car, so i think it would be a good idea to state not only what power and weight of car, but also what tyres and sizes along with ratio of diffs ect. Idealy to build up a diary of info it would be best to use one car,one dyno and one track and driver also performing mods as you go i would think, but im sure you could get some rough power figures v mph

Making 300kw+ from an rb with mods like an aftermarket ecu, fuel system, gt35, cams, coils ect,ect is a walk in the park throw in a set of rods and pistons and it becomes relaible, honestly though if i only wanted 'street' power i wouldn't want any more than say 250rwkw it is plenty for the street..
  6. Yeah the vitons will be heaps better if you are suffering from external heat issues, they are alot more heat resitant than the nitrile ones! you could also pull the spring out of the back of them and shorten it a little to put a bit more tension on it if it needs it..

So let me get this right..you have removed the wastegate actuator and welded up the flap in the exhaust housing?? and you have not fitted an external gate??..this will mean that there is no way it can control the boost! it will just keep rising!! and you say it is reaching 2 bar?...do you know what detonation sounds like?? it would feel weak as there will not be enough fuel to match the air if you are only running stock stuff!
  8. Well with some well suited ratio's in the box and diff and getting the power to the ground without wheelspin is the way it will cut a good time at the track! Just because it makes huge power later in the rev range doesn't make it worse off, you just have to match the power & revs to the right gears and tyres..
  9. hey guys! sorry to make my first post a for sale thread but i forgot my other username login details, I have for sale an rb25 head and tomei poncams to suit a 3ltr conversion with external hardline for the vct. i am willing to sell separate but hopefully together asking $1200 the lot! was serviced 3000km ago and is in verygood condition, made 460rwhp @25psi on my 25 and 440rwhp on my 25/30 on 18psi with a gt35/40 which may also be forsale, has done very little work.. my reason for sale is i need to get funds for a 26 head and gt42!
