I was the seller and that is exactly what it went for $125,000.
-
The car was passed in at $123,000 however we negotiated it up a bit higher and as such the car is now sold. It did not sell for over $130,000.00 It really is a buyers market, almost every car went for substantially below what was expected. The Aston Martin went for $155,000, they were expecting closer to $180,000

That was for the photos only. They were taken a month ago. The performance box is gone, as is the GPS.
-
Sure do. We do a lot of their X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine gear.

At the moment it is going to be an BMW X5 TD Exec. Better on the open road and I dont care about putting KM on it. It just won't be the same, but maybe a 2011 GTR model or Aston Martin will be on the cards in the future.

Guys, the time has unfortunately come for me to sell the R35, practically of kids and the number of km's I have been doing recently have made it impractical to keep. Very regretful that it is being sold, but last thing I want is to be putting 30,000km a year on this car. I have it listed at the Pickles Prestige Auction on the 7th June (Moore Park). 2009 Model White 23,000km Willal Mid Pipe. 3m Protective Film I thought I would jump in before you guys spot it in the next couple of days when it lists.

I have had the 3 grab take offs, however only when the car is very cold. It completely disappears after about 1 minute of driving. I put this down to the car being cold. In normal driving in everything from peak hour through to track work I have not had issues. With 22k on the clock (14k of those with the willal fluids) I must say that I am not seeing the same degree of issues that the other posters are. I will say that the instances when the car pauses between 2nd and first gear when coming to an almost complete stop (Like when entering a round about) have dramatically decreased compared to the factory oil.

lol, 11.92 at 194km/h @ Eastern Creek. (Not one good Launch control start) Mid pipe only, terrible 0-100 times (4.1) They kept wetting the burnout area which I had to drive through.
-
lol, Yep it was me, having breakfast. Say hello next time mate.

I have had a slightly different noise when changing from first to second. There is a bit of a clunk noise from the gear box. It is not a gear clunck, it it more like a sound of metal hitting metal for a split second. I hear it more when travelling through tunnels or when the sound bounces of surrounding buildings, it is more pronounced under hard acceleration.

Morning, yep live in Kellyville also and work in Norwest....

Lol another awesome keyboard warrior. Seeing you asked, the repayments are going very well, social security pays quite well however I have been forced to take up drug dealing to pay for the servicing. Other than that the family is also well and we are hoping to spend some time at the beach this weekend......opps sorry too much information, I thought you were asking because you cared. I have not commented on how I should sell this car, I love this car and the mods that have been done. I would consider buying an everyday car to keep this for the weekends. The comments were more tongue in cheek, if you bothered to check out my other posts you would realise this. Anyhow I certainly do not mind opinions from people like yourselves, it allows me to deomstrate to my kids why they should stay in school and not do drugs. Happy Easter.

I actually agree to a degree. Here should be some new rules for the forum: 1) If you have not driven one then you have no place commenting on handling or performance. The magazine reviews you base your views on are complete crap. So to are the 100 hours of you tube footage that makes you an expert. 2) If you do not own one then you have no right commenting on what may or may not be of interest to us. I certainly agree that Martin's work is not interesting if you own a Maxima, but for me I find it great. 3) The electronics of this car do not enable it to drive itself, turn everything off and get prepared for the time of your life, once again unless you have driven this car in anger on the track with everything off, do not tell us how easy this car is to drive and that it does everything for you. 4) We do not care about how much more hard core the earlier GTR's were and how the new one has no soul. That about covers it.

I love that it went for that price..... Who says resale on this would be crap.....an abused version goes for that, then a pristine one could well gove for $145 - 150k......love it.
-
I think you will find the 370z reference was relating to a loan car when the GTR was in being serviced. That aside with an attitude like that shouldn't you be driving a Porsche...... We are all enthusiasts here, whether you own a GTR or just aspire to own one. Cheers, Gibbo.

I have done a number of instruction days at the creek with a range of instructors including V8 supercar drivers and I have to say the lines shown by the witches hats, all bar turn 4 are pretty much the line they teach. Turn 2 we have been taught to head for the Villi's pie sign and then turn in, the other lines seem about right. I would not discount this video as serious. I just did a quick timing comparison of Suzuki's lap versus Duncan's lap that he posted back on the 3rd August at the supersprint series. I took it from the first braking marker are turn 2 through to turning back onto the main straight, this is due to Suzuki not doing the full straight etc. Duncans laptime for this was a 1:46, and I clocked Suzukis time at almost a full second quicker for that section. This does not take into account his straight speed nor his turn one speed. Just food for thought.

Considering Rego expires in 09/09/10 , it would mean it has done the 22k km in the past 6 months, that is heaps. I wonder how else it has been treated. Cheers.
-
Yep cause that will buff right out.
-
I was expecting a mid 11, basically 11.6 or there abouts as a stock car, but the launch just not happening. I look forward to catching up with you guys also and starting on these mods.
-
It was good to meet you guys last night also. Would have preferred to have been at the twighlight track session however the Drags were interesting and different. Ran a consistent 11.9 for the 1/4. 12.03 for the first run then 11.92, 11.94, 11.93. (Terminal speeds were also consistent at 194km/h (121mph), 193.8km/h on the Performance Box) Consistent runs, but the start was a little ordinary with wheel spin due to the water they were putting down, the car could only manage a 0 - 100 in 4.1, where as the best I have recorded is 3.8.
-
Change the digital display in the Tacho region to the speed, I have this because the speedo is in the wrong spot for me. Also the gradient increase of 20km intervals up to 100km/h then the increase to 30km intervals throws me out, especially when near speed cameras.
-
Agreed, I love hearing about peoples cars and their passions. I really admire the GT2 and considering the comparisons they draw daily of thh GT2 versus the GTR I love to hear of a GT2 owners opinions and what that car is capable of. Keep us updated, especially when you are looking at tracking it.
-
You will not get more than about 10k from a set of tyres due to the mild camber and the tyre compound. I got just over 8,000 with track days thrown in. But you guys are right that something is worth only what another is willing to pay, however saying what you believe it is worth and then trying to either buy or sell for that is another thing. Market forces are at work here....the dark evil art that it is and it will take a little more time for the buyers to either up their prices...or more than likely the sellers to drop theirs. Cheers.
-
Agreed, how about for further financials send a PM. I do not think we all need this information. Cheers.
-
I have not seen any R35 ADM's selling for $135 - 140k drive away. Remember we all did not pay $180k on road like they are now. Hence the "drop" in price. The drop you are talking about is closer to $10 - $15k off the ORIGINAL purchase price of the car. Not bad for an almost 12 month old car. I would love to only see all my new cars depreciate about 9% after the first year. Cheers.
