  1. What colour is the rear garnish?
  2. I'll probably get flamed for typing this..... btw this is not directed at anyone in particular Car = Weapon whether we like it or not There are design regulations for a reason and I don't get this whole 'I'm scared of hood popping" thing. If my/your car is in COMPLIANCE with the law and regulations (as it should be) why would I/you be worried about hood popping. I don't have illegal mods on my car and I am a law abiding member of the community (no, I'm no saint either) with no convictions or warrants, so why do I care if I get pulled over. I don't care because I have nothing to hide Maybe someone can explain why there's a fear of 'hood popping'...? I understand that we have uneducated police that are likely to defect you because they don't know, but realistically anyone here that's done an illegal mod to their car is bright enough to know that there's a chance you're going to get caught and defected because it is in fact illegal sooner or later
  3. So no 33's with Type M's?
  4. Why would you want to!!
  5. DO NOT over tighten (torque) sump plug bolt when you put it back in. Oli filters too do not have to be too tight either, so long as it doesn't leak If you can, always use one of the filters (Drift/K&N probably others too) with the nut on the back 'cause you'll thank yourself for it the next time you change the oil
  6. I did my first (on this car) oil change on my R33 GTSt today and used Motul 8100 5-40 and a Drift magnetic filter as recommended in this here thread. Now my oil pressure is a little lower than it was previous to the oil change. Can anybody confirm if the below (lifted from skylineowners.com) is correct (I searched this forum to no avail)? If so, then I don't have a problem now and it just means my oil pressure was a little on the high side before. http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104627
  7. Good initiative by all involved, can only be a good thing for drivers of imports. I'm not sure sure though that I understand this fear of 'random hood popping'......
  8. Spotted a white Stagea on NE Rd earlier this arvo
  9. Beautiful wheels (I reckon they'd suit my black r33), I'll talk to the boss.... Good Luck with the sale regardless
  10. Anyone have these rims on R33 GTSt? If so I would love to see pics on how they look, been thinking about putting bronze type m's on my black gtst http://www.jackbakertyres.com.au/wheel_pag...nzo_wheels.html
  11. Spotted a nice R34 parked out the front of wheel worx this afternoon. Blue with white rims, look pretty tough
  12. I'm not sure if this is in the right place..... Is Autobahn the cheapest place in Adelaide to get Motul engine oil? I'm in the NE suburbs near TTP Thanks
  13. Looks good. What %? Cost if you don't mind me asking?
  14. Dammit.... I want them those rims too!!!!!
  15. Spotted and got a wave from nice black r33 on grand junction rd (hope valley/holden hill) last night around 9.45.
  16. Personally I don't see the point going DDR3 on a S775 mobo. If you're going to go Core 2 then you might as well save some more dough (considering it kind of superseded already) and go superseded memory. Also a Q9550 won't have any trouble clocking well and trly past the 3GHz of a Q9650 without even overvolting Vcore......
  17. Spotted a nice silver r33 with black rims turning from NE Rd onto Grand junction Rd around 5 this arvo giving it a quick squirt
  18. Do you have a vacuum leak somewhere?
  19. Thanks guys, looks like I'll go turbo back. I already have an Apexi N1 Evolution catback ready to go on and I'll get one of those Catco hi flow cats from jjr, now just going to pick out a dump front pipe....... AM Performance JJR CES Any others worth considering?
  20. Hi guys, I've had my R33 S1.5 now for nearly 3 months and have brought up the 5K..... so dealer warranty is now gone. In december I bought an Apexi N1 Evolution cat back from a forum member here and have waited 'til the 5K came up. Now I've been reading countless threads (I know this has all been covered before... sprt of) in the mean time on the pro's of going a full turbo back system and all the threads on bell mouth Vs split dump front pipes and the general consensus there is that with anything under 300rwkw it doesn't matter what type so long as you get rid of the restrictive stock dump/front setup. So my real question here is that I've also read posts here that state on a bog standard setup going for a 3" dump front will actually lose you power and create more lag and potentially over boosting issues and I'm wanting to know baically is it worth it to go for an aftermarket dump front pipe (alongside the catback and a hi flow cat), or will I get better response with the stock dump front pipe? Are those guys right when they say you lose power? I don't plan on fitting aftermarket turbo or intercooler and want to keep mods to a minimum (ie. exhaust and a K&N or Apexi panel filter, might do the <4500RPM boost mod). Thanks in advance
  21. Spotted a white R33 Main Nth Rd/ Nottage intersection around 2:30 am
  22. Cheers, I was about to start getting quotes for tint before this heat wave so when it's over I'll get it done
  23. In regards to power supplies do not under estimate what's required, to put it simply.... 99.9% of PSU's that come already installed in cases are shit and have the potential to f**k up your brand new shiny hardware. I've used Corsair and Seasonic (pretty much identical and both made by Seasonic) exclusively for the past year or so on the builds I've done and these things can handle the amps drawn by high performance graphics cards and systems. Something that might be worth considering is a mild overclock. For example to get 3.0GHz out of a 2.4GHz Q6600 is incredibly simple without the danger of having to over volt anything and risk damage. It's kind of a bargain because you buy a Q6600 and effectively (if so inclined) get a Q9650
  24. I still have this for sale if your interested.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ag...rm-t247377.html Same one that installed by the guy who does driveway installs at Keswick (this one came from him)
  25. Bump - still after one of these
