  1. OK. Of course, you're almost certain that if a tyre is bald it's hard and uneven..... race cars run slicks in dry weather because they perform worse, didn't know that!
  2. I do a similar thing, but spanned across 5 (other than C) drives where anything valuable is on at least 2 of those drives. On XP it's usually RAM that causes BSOD's in my experience
  3. In the dry bald tyres will enhance performance, in the wet you'll aquaplane across the top of the water if there's enough of it and have zero traction

  5. from where?
  6. Didn't think so... still slow as all f.... EDIt: In case anyone doesn't know, Repco have 20% of all Motul oil at the moment. At Repco Kidman Park they had 25% off on the shelf even though the catalogue states 20% off
  7. Have you run memtest86, I assume you're on XP?
  8. Nice colossal traffic jam on the PRE this morning! Thank you to the genius who thought that would be a good idea in peak hour morning traffic
  9. And the ATTC was vastly better than it is now.
  10. Cheers, likewise
  11. +1, there's no real point in having 900+ hp if you aint got the traction to take advantage of it.
  12. That would be shit! Just like Indy/Champ cars that have pretty much identical chassis's with different engine suppliers
  13. Spotted a nice silver s2 33 last night at around 6.30pm ish on Valetta Rd. Think it might have been Cozi (ON EDGE) but not 100% sure. Gave a nod anyhow
  14. I don't have a problem with having 1 tyre manufacturer. Don't really want a repeat of 2005 where Michelin completely dominated Bridgestone, except in the USA of course I think they need to bring back refuelling but also lift the bullshit rev limiter and engine/gearbox usage rule. They already have an engine development freeze to cut costs, so imo it should be a free for all in regards to tuning these things for max hp. Might see a few blowing them up (insert a certain drivers name in here), but that's just a part of racing.
  15. Maybe you missed the in my post.....
  16. Nah I'm talking early mid nineties when Goodyear was the sole supplier. Number of laps normally doesn't mean too much because GP's are calculated so that near on exactly 300Km has been covered, don't think this has changed recently.
  17. Allowing drivers to cut chicanes or corners a set number of times for the GP to allow overtaking and then being overtaken again or some shit like this.......
  18. True. Someone I guess is going to do it sooner or later, like Schuey used to and made work for him 99/100 in his early F1 days. EDIT: In those days, having to use both compounds wasn't part of the regulations either
  19. Doesn't bother me if they did. I'll get them to go ask her why she did 45 in a 60 zone in the right lane and then why did she speed up to block me from over taking her!
  20. At least they make their own engines, not like that british team who steals intellectual property from Ferrari....
  21. That's pretty much what I'm on about. They put their indicator on and change lanes without looking because they've used their indicator means they're allowed to change lanes as aggressively as they want without looking. Women who delve into their handbags either on the passenger floor or the seat and yank the steering wheel left as they reach over.... the list goes on! Not even 20 minutes ago I got beeped at on Tapleys hill Rd by a woman who I was behind at a set of traffic lights. Lights went green and she slowly sped up to 40-45Kmh so I changed lanes and went to move in front of her and she sped up and beeped at me. Then disappears in my mirrors as she slowed down again to 40Kmh....WTF. I think I saw her get pen and paper and write down my plate
  22. None of that addresses the issues (for the majority) of selfishness, and just the plain inattentive drivers
  23. I think the engine and gearbox usage rule has ruined the sport also. Lift the engine development freeze and allow as many engines and gearboxes with no V8 gheyercar rev limiter!
  24. Ferrari have no peer so I guess there's nothing you could compare them too hey
